Like they say, “the cup has its own rules” and that exactly happened this year with saarbrucken, the first 4th division team to make the DFB pokal semi finals. Would’ve been a great experience to go and watch the game but it’s a shame it was behind closed doors. The quarter final match against Düsseldorf wouldve been one to remember as well.

I think that shows why the Bundesliga and german football is great. They don't have the big names like Messi, Neymar or Ronaldo, but they have the best fans. Most stadium's are sold out and it's a great atmosphere there!

1:44 Alemannia Aachen indeed kicked Bayern out of the DFB-Pokal twice, but not as a 4th division side. In 2003/04 they beat Bayern as they played in the 2nd Bundesliga, in 2006/07 they did it again, playing Bundesliga themselves. That loss in 2004 was the last time Bayern got eleminated by a side from a lower league btw.
