I have an E90 M3 2010 Competition model here in Australia which I have owned for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I've done all the preventative maintenance including Rod Bearings, throttle actuators and main bearings as well as as adding carbon fiber bits here and there. Now going for for around 60k. I have had multiple offers from prespective buyers but will never part with it. A real drivers car

I’m from Brisbane! How much did it set you back the competition spec? And how much were rod bearings? I’m in market for one

I paid $56k for mine 3 years ago. The prices went up during covid then settled down again. Currently they are heading up in value again. I would expect that you'll pay $60 -$70k for a good one now. I believe that only 20 E90 M3 competetions came into Aust as the E92 (2 door) was the more popular version to have. I have just had the valve covers replaced from the magnesium alloy ones to the aluminium covers to stop any valve cover oil leaks (including from the oil filler cap). Mine is used as a daily driver and I wouldn't have anything else.@@pavelsidor

The e90 is a better handling chassis. Look at the tops gear lap times compared to the e92.

Nice video mate, to the point without the usual YT chatting away. Owning a E90M3 for almost 9 years I'd also confirm all you say is true...🙂

Great little review mate. Why has YT only thrown this up to me now, 7 months late?I've a Space Grey E90 LCI too, and in six and a half minutes you've got this nailed. Mine has a carbon plenum and stage 2 tune and it's just near perfect. The only thing I'm considering changing is the gearing as you rightly say is very long. It will be proper mental with shorter gearing! After four years I can say there's still nothing on my radar I'd change it for that doesn't cost several times as much. If you can live with the high running cost I can't recommend it enough.

With the right induction kit and hi end exhaust there aren't too many better sounding n/a cars on the planet. I know they have issues especially with the engine but if you can find one that hasn't been limiter bashed when it's cold they are very reliable.
how does it compare to your acourd in terms of driving enjoyment and and as a daily car?

Funnily enough that is one of the biggest complaints about the engine that I have heard. To get the power out you have to be trashing it which is fine on a spirited Saturday drive. But something like a slightly tuned 335i in my personal opinion would make a far better daily driver. You can't beat the M3 for the smile factor when you are treating it like an M3 but the daily aspect leaves something to be desired.

Great car and review! Looked like it really gets up and goes! Really? they are 30K over there in NZ?, blimey, folks definitely buy one, that is huge car for the money!
@KiwiCarLife2 жыл бұрын
Yeah tbh 30k is the lower end... most are around 40 I really should have said that
@spadgm2 жыл бұрын
@@KiwiCarLife Haha fair enough, but still even 40K is not bad, these cars were something like 140k brand new, so a good deal less money to buy nowadays and I think they will be a future classic. My uncle imported one from England with nearly brand new miles on the clock many moons ago and it was a stunning car. There are a handful of modified ones here on the Gold Coast and they are more than quick enough, plus with a decent exhaust they sound incredible!

would you consider getting one over the Isf?
@KiwiCarLife2 жыл бұрын
Hmm I think this drives better than the ISF, higher revving, better gearbox, better infotainment, adjustable suspension, LSD etc. But the Lexus is more reliable... I don't really know tbh
