My Grandfather's last construction job was running the road grader building the Excalibur. Some people knock the property but when I see it I'm reminded of all his work he did for our family. He's passed now but it's great to see people still enjoying the last project he worked on before he retired. And you two are great; the way you show the buffets in full lets us feel like we are there. Watching I'm like "I would get that, no to that" etc. You two are fun to watch, again thank you for your content

The Excalibur was a great place to go way back then when it was brand new, just as the Mirage and Treasure Island were. Today, they are older and not on par with all the newer and fancier locations, but I still prefer them over the newer places and the food and dribks and buffets are all very good at a lower price point than the newer and fancier locations.

Yes, They've definitely gone up in quality and service, excalibur buffet is a great value right now, I much prefer going there, south point, Mains Street station buffet, than others, not that I cant afford the "high end buffets", but I sure prefer the traditional ones (wish the Orleans had decided to keep their medley buffet open, it was trending upwards when it closed). Even the Bellagio has lowered their prices and now is almost at excalibur prices, and good quality too. MGM Grand, Luxor, Mandalay, look and see what your brothers are doing right, get your act together!. Thanks Derek and Catherine, you guys are the best!

Luis, I completely agree with you on every count. I have a question. Have you heard anything regarding the potential re-opening of the Golden Nugget Buffet? That was one of the best, right up there with excalibur, south point, and Main Street Station

@@brad6173 Don't know if the Landrys group Is intrested in reopening their Buffet at Golden nugget, It was a good one, what Info know Is that Boyd won't open their Buffet at the Orleans, and It was very popular, even as french market buffet, and later on as medley, maybe Derek has some idea

We stayed at the Excalibur in May/June for 11 nights and went to the buffet 8 of those days, it is perfect for what it is. It was every bit as fresh as you have just displayed and the service was excellent. Stand outs are the Carvery, the scrambled eggs with cheese melted into them and the winner of everything there was.... The bread and butter pudding, the best i have ever tasted! We have already booked to stay there next year but this time for 14 nights. Can´t wait. Keep up the good work and keep enjoying your food. A UK fan.

I've stayed at the Excalibur several times and never had any type of problem. It's a budget place, the buffet is so so but the rooms are clean if not a little outdated but the staff and service was good and friendly I will keep probably going back there.

To me Excalibur buffet is good for breakfast. That a decent price. I hight recommend the made to order omelets. I always get one as my main dish and pair it with fresh salsa and beans. Yum. Try it out.

It's been so long since I've been to Excalibur Hotel/Casino!🐎🛡⚔ They surprised me with still all of that great food- that's wonderful! It might need to be cooked a bit more,, for me,, but the way that the fried chicken 🍗was dressed with Bar-B-Q sauce looked amazing-that broth, too🍖🥣! And that Bread Pudding-Yum!🍞 Alright, continue to enjoy more food out there-this is fun!!🤗Take care!🍽🍽

I think for the price it is well worth it. You get so much variety of food and a lot of desserts to choose from. As for that $14.99 all you can drink, well I would rather focus on the food with this one. Besides it was a 90 minute time limit. If you want an alcoholic beverage then just get one and in Derek's case eat all the fried chicken you can. As for the desserts I thought awesome choices. I do prefer the ones where ya'll get smaller portions. That way ya'll are able to try more of them, just me I guess. So, under $30,00 all you can eat, variety, and fried chicken, well what more can you ask for.

I ate the fresh bread pudding at MainStreet Station buffet early Saturday morning and the warm custard was to die for. I think it's the best bread pudding I've ever eaten. Of course I haven't eat every bread pudding that exists but the MSS one is really ono. RogerT

Hi Guys.. you are such foodies.. Catherine you would enjoy the master cooking classes held by the Wynn. Last Thursday, I attnended one by Chef Middleton who is the executive chef of Lakeside.. fabulous class. Take a look at the Wynn webiste under the “ Experience “ tab. they just released classes thru the early part of November. I have not seen a you tube creator ever feature one of these classes. I have been to three already.

Points for price, edible food, no lines, & decent service. There were several of Derek's favorites offered, but the counters were pretty messy. I'd give it 5/10 points based on this video. I like Derek & Catherine so I'm always eager to see what they're up to....even if it's a budget buffet, burger stand, or the UFO Jerky shop just outside of Vegas . I even enjoyed watching when they shared the contents of their fridge during covid.🤷🏽 😊

Years ago, the Excalibur breakfast buffet was very good and an excellent value with a bigger assortment. No more chicken fried steak patties? Was the guacamole fresh or commercially processed?
