To use an example from WW(F)E, back at Survivor Series 1999 they advertised Stone Cold vs The Rock vs Triple H as the main event up until midway through the show when they wrote out Stone Cold with a hit and run storyline. I think Mc Gregor just wanted to renegotiate the contract or money and was demonstrating his value by showing Dana how much UFC would lose if they lose him. Making it harder to believe it's just a bluff. Since his situation is unique, he has more star power than anyone else in UFC by far and they both seem to like to test to see how much influence they really have. I think they see this similarity in each other and ultimately enjoy it, the massive amounts of money they have gotten from their partnership carrying that of course.

The truth is, we don't even know if the reason that it was canceled has anything to do with conor. There could have been a security issue where threats were made to the venue or Conor himself & they weren't going to allow anyone in. Maybe arena had a pipe burst & it flooded. Who knows? Or his leg is acting up from horrific injury or he popped for steroids used for recovery. We have no idea. Aside from supporting u guys for content & watching, I'm not going to worry about it. We'll find out eventually. Would definitely feel bad for chandler if fight got cancelled. No point in speculating cuz we have no idea. Something could've been wrong with his wife or 1 of his kids or parents & he couldn't b there. We'll find out at some point
