Is the Flemish Bend really the best way to Join Ropes - IRATA Rope Access Knots

im wondering if it would be easier to undo this if the blue rope was under the red rope? just like in you "how to tie the perfect figure of 8" video would this blue rope not sinch down on the red and make it harder to undo?

By your definition a rope that is the easiest to tie a knot in is the best…. Usually those ropes tend to last less long, have more elongation and damage easier with toothed ascenders being used improperly. Or even have a lower MBS. So maybe for your work you would like a rope that has the opposite properties. Stronger, less elongation doesn’t damage easily. Needing 5 seconds more to tie a knot is no big deal. Pick the right tool for the job Man, if this rope gives you problems tying knots, you should not be doing rope access work… Besides does it really look like impossible to use? Not to me. Me and a lot of people I know are a big fan of this rope because of the mentioned advantages. Are they all “clowns”…
