What do you think about the Concerns people are having in regards to Google making the market saturated? They are saying with this certificate you won't need a degree. In fact they are one of the companies that are starting to say they don't require a degree at all. The more people that do this, there will be more candidates that have the skills which will make it a less in demand skill. They will be able to pay less, because they can pick from a pool of people that know how to do the things they need to be done

This is a great question and a concern that has been on my mind too. I do have some thought but I want make sure I have time to process and provide a quality response. I will respond but it may not be for a day or two. Thanks for the thought provoking question.

@@ChartExplorers thanks for the reply. It's like we are paying them to train us (like how an employer would usually pay us during training) and they may make the value of the position go down since it's so available.. "Here an idea.. let's make them pay us to train them, and then we pay them less when we hire them. Genius!" 😐 Looking forward to what you think

Most companies will require a degree to move upwards and into leadership roles eventually.
@ChartExplorers3 жыл бұрын
@@your_momma6024 it will be interesting to see how other companies actually end up viewing this Certificate program. If other companies view this as the equivalent of a degree (as Google claims) it could cause a major disruption. I'm personally not convinced that most companies will view this Certificate as equivalent to a degree from an accredited institution. Time will tell, but for larger companies that have many qualified applicates with degree I don't see why they would risk highering a certificate graduate compared to someone with an actual degree. I could see however, this changing over time if Certificate Graduate end up doing very good at their jobs (just my opinion).

Any added certificate especially by Google is good for your resume. However, you have to have more then fundamental knowledge of programs to land a job. So it takes more than a certificate

I am currently an inventory and logistics analyst at a distribution center and I am wondering if this would be a good way to work my way into a different position. Most jobs I see require python or SQL experience. Do you think it would be worth it?
@ChartExplorers3 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt Arcori, I think the Google DA Cert is great for giving you a broad understanding of the field. If most of the jobs you are seeing require Python you may want to take the Google Cert and then take the Python portion of the IBM Data Science Cert bit.ly/IBM_DS_CERT (this is an affiliate link). I wouldn't recommend paying for the IBM cert if you take the Google Cert. Just audit the Python sections of the course for free. I personally like the structure of Udemy courses I have my favorite courses in the video description. To summarize, I don't think it is a bad idea. Before going and purchasing anything I would start off auditing the programs (audit the first couple of courses in the Google Data Analytics Cert and see if you like it. If this matches your learning style. If it does then you could consider purchasing it... but I'm not sure how valuable certifications are if you have projects...). If you want to learn some Python there are many other options out there (free and paid). I think the Google Cert is probably worth it in your cases to audit. I'm not sure if paying and getting the official cert will help you out since you already have a job and are looking to move up.

Start applying and while you are applying work on some projects. What projects you ask? That's up to you and the data that you can find. Where to find data? Here are some resources to check out: github.com/awesomedata/awesome-public-datasets/blob/master/README.rst data.gov.uk/ fivethirtyeight.com/ www.pewresearch.org/ Let me know if you have any other questions.

I want to Switch my career from Sales to Bussiness Analyst as I am not enjoying my profile well. I am non Technical background, Simple Graduate( B.A) in 2017 & B.Tech Drop out in 2013. Around five years of Experience in Sales. Currently I am not working .Did 12th with PCM good command in maths but not good in stats and log but yes studied. I have no programing knowledge so in that case shall I go with Google Analytics Professional Course ? Can I add my Sales experience on CV after that?

Currently, I think the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate is one of the best out there at this price point. I would recommend putting your sales experience on your CV for now. @ChartExplorers3 жыл бұрын
@@anwarniazi1078 I do think so. I haven't completed the Certificate program yet (I have started) so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I have been really impressed with what is covered. I am still very skeptical about it replacing a 4 year degree. But I do believe you will be able to develop the necessary skills needed for an entry level job with this certificate program. You may need to do some extra side projects to really stand out as an analyst because you will be competing with people who have university degrees.

Hi, I have completed the course. As per my opinion only completing this certification will not give you a job. If you are from a non technical background ,Without doing projects it is very difficult to get a job. I am from India in most of job requirements the company always look for a guy who has technical background. Hey, brother if i am wrong then please share some knowledge or guide me what should i do next after certification . Right now i am just job calls for MIS (Management information system) which includes work only on EXCEL. Should i go for MIS job or wait and study more.

Hi Prashant Juneja, thanks for your input and sharing your experience. It can take a long time to find the right job. I would probably say take the MIS job and study while working. You may get access to data or opportunities that you could then put on your resume to help you get the dream job.

Hi Shabeer Ahmed, Yes! The program is covers a lot of amazing content. At this time I believe the Job Consortium is not available in India, but it sounds like even those in the U.S. are having a difficult time accessing the "jobs" that were promised to be available. Despite this, the content is still worth it. If you want to test it out sign up for the individual courses for free.
