So Mr Joe here says he dont have enough time to prove that Gospel of Barnabas is a forgery. But somehow he got more minutes to claims that the Barnabas's Gospel was a forgery. The truth is Jesus have 12 students and Barnabas is one of them. In 4th century, the Paulus church who released the doctrine of Trinity had collected 300 copies of gospels and only choose 4 (Mark, Luke, Mathew and include Paul). Whoever own other than these gospel will be killed! Why Gospel of Barnabas was excluded, because it mentioned Jesus as the messenger or slave of God and not son of a God which is against the Trinity they "created". It also mentioned Jesus predict the coming of the next and last messenger of God by mentioning him by his name, which refers to Muhammad or Ahmad means (Slave of God). This contradict their Trinity concept where God are 3 in 1. And claiming Jesus as Son of God and also God. The fact is, This is all Paul's idea..he is fascinates by Roman fiction Hercules son of Zeus. In fact Jesus never mentioned Paul in his entire life! The best part, the world claimed oldest Bible, CODEX SINAITICUS also having the same concept of God as in Gospel of Barnabas. Which is, GOD IS ONE AND ONLY, JESUS AS MESSENGER OF GOD. And the best part is, it also never address Jesus as Jesus at all. If you see chapter Mark in the Codex, it written capital letter "I" to address Jesus. Coincidently in Quran, Jesus is call ISA as his name, with a capital "I". The funny thing is, we cannot find anywhere in the current old amd new testament Bibles where it written "Jesus". Because they know it is not his real name! So there is no doubt that the Christian claims "Jesus" is non other than a human being sent by God as HIS messenger and He is gifted with miraculous powers or miracles as prove that He is GOD messenger. His actual teaching was GOD IS ONE, AND ONLY can be prove by His own words as in the Bible in MARK 10:18 & MARK 12:29...read it, darn...seems they forgot to take it out didnt they..Seems their forgery wasn't perfect enough huh? The truth about our God is still there in Jesus words...not Paul. Finally, I dont blame the Christian world for this. This is all done by Paul. So why do we have to believe what Paul said or wrote instead of Jesus Himself as in the Bible!? May GOD bless all of us!

By all admission it sounds more realistic and consistent to the historical Jesus then the current version of the Bible. It's a shame to call out something this significant a latter translated work and that it favors the Islamic narrative of Jesus. How could of Barnabas favored Islam when he is speaking on an account of Jesus.Oh wait I think the truth is inconvenient. According to Marks gospel, was it not Pilate who sentenced Jesus to death? Pilate wished to release Jesus but the corrupted crowd in the streets wished for Jesus to be killed and Barrabas(another prisoner) to be freed. Just one example, Islam believe that Jesus was the messiah. The Gospel of Barnabes states Jesus said he was not the messiah. And there are other contradictions. I'm not sure why the Muslims would want to fabricate a gospel that shares some of their believes and contradicts others? If this gospel was an old Muslim fabricated book, then it shouldn't contradict Islamic belief.

ًSome youtuber so... I was raised in the Church of Christ and I have read the whole bible and gospels many times over the years. Jesus doesn't claim to be the messiah. He says to see his works and hear his word and decide for yourself. He never claimed to be equal to his father. He chides the rich man when he calls him good teacher. He asked why the man called him good and said only God alone deserves to be called good. If he claimed to be equal to the Father, he would not have corrected those who tried to worship him. I'm not a Muslim and I'm not real sure what their take on the trinity is, but if you read Jesus's actual words and don't add your own ideas or the other apostles take on it, then study church history and read about the Church councils where they literally made up new doctrine about the trinity and such, if you read it and let the holy spirit guide you, you'll probably get the same sick feeling in your stomach that I did when I found out the Catholic church invented the idea of the trinity. I believe it was at the Nicene council, hundreds of years after Jesus or anyone who actually knew hi. And heard his true word, lived.

I had to look but yeah, it was at the first council of Nicaea held about 300 years after Jesus was crucified. It was voted on and not unanimously. Jesus never said there was a three in one, all parts equal, God. Man decided that and voted on it and taught it to others who blindly accepted and followed along. We should be mindful of the admonition to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. If man out words in Jesus mouth, I don't want to stand face to face with him and say it's not my fault I taught others wrong because I claimed to be his follower but didn't bother to read and make sure what I was taught was truth.

The Gospel of Barnabas, chapter 50, mentions that Miriam was the sister of Moses and yet Exodus 15:20 mentions that she should be the sister of Aaron. I have read both the Gospel of Barnabas and the Qur'an. If it was really, truly fabricated, it could not have been done by a Muslim because there are a few things in the Gospel of Barnabas that contradict the Qur'an and Muslim beliefs. For example, consider the following: 1. Upon learning that Mary was pregnant with child, Joseph wanted to put her away as his wife (Chp 2 of Barnabas). The Qur'an never taught this. Mary was a holy woman who had no male companion while she was pregnant with Jesus. She was not married to Joseph while being pregnant. The Qur'an says, "So she conceived him (Jesus) and withdrew with him to a remote place." 2. Mary gave birth *without pain* (Chp 3 of Barnabas) while the story related in the Qur'an said that she cried out in pain from childbirth. "Then the pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She cried, “Alas! I wish I had died before this, and was a thing long forgotten!” Chp 19, verse 23 of the Qur'an. 3. Mary gave birth to Jesus in "a lodging made for a shepherd's shelter" (Chp 3) and Jesus was laid in a manger. In the Qur'an, Mary gave birth under a palm tree, all by herself. She was alone. 4. Jesus was not a messiah in Barnabas (Chp 82), but the Qur'an declares Jesus as the awaited Messiah for the House of Israel. 5. Jesus turned water into wine. But the Qur'an teaches that alcohol is not permissible for Muslims to consume and none of the prophets ever drank alcohol or anything intoxicating. So how could the Gospel of Barnabas be written or fabricated by a Muslim when it contains teachings that contradict what the Muslim would have believed in? You should be more careful when making such claims

The Gospel of Barnabas is just one of many non-canoical ancient text that point to the truth....The real question is why was the Gospel of John accepted.... The other gospels that are canon (Matthew, Mark and Luke) do not propose Christ as the son of god or savior of mankind. The fact is The Gospel of John was written in the same symbolic, metaphoric language as the book of Revelations and it's even inconsistent with the time of Christ death on the cross... The truth is the Bible is mostly just the Jewish Torah (Old Testament) combined with four gospels that proclaim Jesus was a great teacher but NOT the son of god. And one Gospel written in a non-literal form of writing professing he was, combined with a bunch of letters by the (false) apostle Paul to churches he was helping get started most likely for his own celebrity. That's the ugly disgraceful origin of Christianity in a nutshell. Why would Paul do this? For the same reason people start business empires today and put up stupid KZbin videos. it was a means to make a name for himself... Many Christians do not know that Paul's writings were not universally accepted. It fact it was not until over 300 years after his death at the First Council of Nicaea where Constantine (realizing Rome was in decline) decided to exile Christ followers who disagreed on Christ being the son of God and accepting Paul's vision of who Christ was"... The truth is the Jews including Abraham, Noah, Moses, Solomon, etc... NEVER have believed in a hell of eternal damnation to need salvation from. Think about that for a moment. Christianity's entire premise can be invalided with this one simple truth that any Jewish Rabbi can confirm for you. Think I'm wrong? Consult an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi on the matter and you'll find I'm right. Christ said in Matthew "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them". Christ never positioned himself as the savior of hell because he did not teach of a eternal damnation hell. When Christ spoke of hell he used the word "gehenna" which means something all together different. Rabbi's refer to it as a spiritual washing machine. A temporary place of purging before entering into what's next... The truth is Paul's writings in the book of Acts, Corinthians, etc.. are the foundation of Christianity. That's right, it's al about one man's letters describing who Christ was NOT who Christ himself said he was that has formed modern Christianity. This is the great lie of the Vatican and every Protestant denomination. Go back to the roots and talk with Rabbi's (never forget all the Old Testament prophets were Jewish... So to disregard the LIES Christianity teaches about the Jewish faith (lies that can easily be proven) is a foolish thing to do if you care at all about the truth and integrity of what you profess to believe. BTW Paul himself never met Christ. His writings were "inspired by god" from "visions". Paul was power hungry, likely deranged and from his writing we find he was also probably a narcissist. He also used fowl language for his day (go back to the original text). He was was a disgrace. A false prophet. A counterpart to Joseph Smith for Christianity.... How did this happen then? Matthew, Mark, and Luke presents Jesus as God in human flesh just as much as John does. Who can forgive sin but God alone? Joe Carey I'll give my response in three points 1.) In Matthew, Mark, Luke Jesus does not profess to be Messiah. The passage you reference in Matthew starts with "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him,". Jesus does a lot of talking in third person doesn't he? You really should have shared the parable of the ten virgins while you were in Matthew 25 to show us all just how applicable these teaching are to modern western concepts on morality. I digress. That is much different than him professing to be God. 2.) It is a fact that the Jewish people have a much different concept of both Hell and the Messiah than what Christians believe Jesus present (I say believe because again Paul is the one who invented this not Christ) any Rabbi can confirm this but of course most Christian's will trust generations of erroneous teaching though their seminaries over thousands of years of Orthodox Jewish teaching. It is ignorant to not consider their teachings and consider their point of view on Hell (which again is not one of eternal damnation). Think rationally for a moment. Do you really believe the Jewish people from Noah to Moses to Abraham to Solomon to King David all had the wrong idea about what hell was? The orthodox Jewish religion today tells us exactly what they thought of it? 3.) Constantine's role in not disputed by historians. If you believe the early Church universally accepted Christ as the the son of God you are absolutely incorrect. It's historical fact that they did not and it's also a fact Constantine played a role in exiling the church of Alexandria to help bring about the unified view of Christ as son of God. If anyone wants to investigate this further I recommend doing some research on-line. Use many sources and you will see Joe Carey's views are highly subjective at best (when interpreting scripture) and outright lies at worst. This is universal of all Christians I have encountered. There is no any contradiction when Jesus is a Messiah and when he said I'm not the Messiah bcz every prophet and messenger of God is a messiah including Jesus, since the word messiah means the anointed one and this concept is in the bible but when Jesus said he is not the messiah, he was answering the Jews when they asked him if he is the last messiah (prophet) then he answered NO and he meant he is not the FINAL MESSIAH and this not contradict with Jesus himself being a Messiah (anointed) So you are deceiving ppl by taking texts out of context and without knowledge in what a Messiah means in the bible. Read (Psalm 20:6) to see the text referring to a prophecy about Jesus but it calls him "anointed" rather than (messiah). In short, the word Messiah means the anointed one but in the same time God specified it to Jesus for honor but not to deny it from other prophets including the prophet Muhammad and if the translators didn't translate the term "Messiah" or it's derivatives which is in the original Hebrew, then you will see all prophets and even kings called by Messiah in your bible.

I've refuted that argument elsewhere in my videos, and destroyed that argument. Anybody with 1/4 a brain knows that Song of Songs is not a book of prophecy, so could NEVER contain prophecy. The common argument used by Muslims that Song 5:16 speak of Muhammad is actually quite humorous and laughable. Apparently you did not listen closely to the video. I said IN THE GOSPEL OF BARNABAS Jesus claims to be the Christ but denies the claim of Messiah. This is one evidence of its forged nature, for surely Jesus as depicted in the New Testament did claim both titles. And an elementary presentation: This was a short 7 minute review of a two hour long lecture that covers about 13 different objections Muslims make to denounce Christianity. Yes, I had to keep it simple due to time constraints. I could have said much more. What about the book of James who was found in the dead sea scroll which speaks about a prophet to come after Jesus, and who also spoke about Jesus may peace and the blessing of God be upon him as God's servant, his prophet. The book itself doesn't claim (unlike most Muslims I have met who comment on it) to be the book Jesus was supposed to have received -Barnabas 10 Contradictions between "Barnabas" and the Qur'an: 1) the Quran (2:29) says that the Heavens are seven in number, while "Barnabas" gives the number as nine (178). 2) according to "Barnabas", man is endowed with a free will. (164). On the contrary, man only does what Allah wills him to do (Quran - 76:30, 37:96, 17:13, 10:99-100). 3) Adam was not the first man circumcised (23). Abraham was. 4) according to "Barnabas" (3), Mary brought forth her son without pain. This is contradicted by the Quran (19:23). 5) the Quran follows the Mosaic law of "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth", whereas "Barnabas" says "... ye shall not overcome evil with evil, but rather with good" (81). Despite his obvious familiarity with the Bible, "Barnabas" does not know that Messiah (Hebrew) and Christ (Greek) are identical in meaning. The expression, "raging hunger" (60) is probably another specimen of such a direct quote. The description of the joys of paradise and the horrors of hell, and the pains which the unbelievers suffer in the latter, recall us to Dante's descriptions of the same. (Compare "Barnabas" 59 and 60 with lines 22 and 103, Canto III of Dante's Inferno). Stranger still is the coincidence between Dante's 'circles' of hell and those of "Barnabas". "Barnabas" has Jesus saying to Peter: Know ye therefore, that hell is one, yet hath seven centres one below another. Hence, even as sin is of seven kinds, for as seven gates of hell hath satan generated it; so are there seven punishments therein. (135) This is exactly what Dante says in Canto V, VI, etc. of his Inferno. Again, "Barnabas" says that God, having created the human senses, condemned them "to hell and to intolerable snow and ice" (106). See Dante's Inferno, Canto XXVIII and III, line 22. But still stronger evidence that "Barnabas" quotes directly or indirectly from Dante is his description of the "geography of Heaven". Here "Barnabas" agrees with Dante and contradicts the Quran. c) Traces of Medieval Society Among the clearest of all these traces are those of the system of feudalism, which was in full vogue in medieval times. According to this system land was divided among the different feudal lords, who in turn subdivided their property into minor divisions and rented them to vassals who owed them a perpetual allegiance, above all, in times of war. The writer of the "Gospel of Barnabas" represents to us Mary, Martha, and Lazarus as feudal lords, in whose hands was the proprietorship of whole villages (194). This is a further description of the vassal who owes to his liege or padrone a portion of his crop (122). This is quite in accordance with the laws of feudalism. The reference to wine-casks is more suggestive of Italy than of Oriental lands (152). Another trace is that referring to medieval court procedure where the arrested prisoner is questioned by a magistrate, while a notary jots down memoranda of the evidence (121). The reference to the duel between two rival lovers reminds one of the age of chivalry (99). It will be remembered that chivalry was a creation of medieval society and played its role for a considerable period. d) Barnabas' ignorance of Palestinian geography and history "Barnabas" imagines Nazareth, and most probably Jerusalem also, to be on a sea or lake. "Jesus went to the Sea of Galilee, and having embarked on a ship sailed to his city of Nazareth" (20). "Having arrived at the city of Nazareth the seamen spread through all the city all that Jesus had wrought" (20). Here it is clearly meant that immediately on touching land (Nazareth), the seamen landed and spread their news in that (seaport) town! "Barnabas" then says: "Jesus went up to Capernaum" (from Nazareth) (21). Of course, it is just the reverse. He would have landed at Capernaum, gone up to Nazareth, and then gone down to Capernaum. We are told that one Sabbath morning Jesus came to Nazareth (143). After several chapters giving his conversation there (144-151), we read: "Jesus embarked on a ship ... (151). This is further evidence for Barnabas' wrong notion that Nazareth was on the lake. There is still more. The ship leaves the port of Nazareth and sails away. Where do we find Jesus next? At Jerusalem. In the very next section we read: "Jesus having come to Jerusalem ..." (152). There can be little doubt that as the ship weighed anchor at Nazareth, so it cast the same at Jerusalem. Next we come to some incidents recorded by "Barnabas" which are historically untenable. There is the story of Daniel, who, according to "Barnabas" (80), was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar while he was yet 2 years old. Now if we suppose that Nebuchadnezzar captured Daniel in the first year of his reign, it would follow that in the second year of his reign, Daniel was three years old. In this very year, it will be remembered, he was promoted by Nebuchadnezzar to the rank of a ruler "over the whole province of Babylon". According to "Barnabas" therefore, his age would be three, at most four years! "Barnabas" tells us that a great sedition broke out in all Judea on account of Jesus (91). It is unnecessary to remark that this incident finds no place in the pages of any historian, whether Josephus, or any ancient or modern historian. Besides, it is absurd to believe that 3 armies, numbering 600,000 soldiers, could gather in the twinkle of an eye and disperse as quickly. And how can we believe that Herod, an enemy of Christ, would attempt to quiet a riot which arose on account of Christ? Stranger is the statement of "Barnabas" that the high priest wished "to bow himself down and worship Jesus ..." (93). The high priest, it will be remembered, was the chief enemy of Jesus and one of his accusers who condemned Jesus because Jesus used to convict the high priests of hypocrisy. He who is aware of its contents, yet continues to maintain its integrity and to utilize it as a genuine gospel account of Jesus at the expense of the Bible, must share in the guilt of the author. To my mind, looking at the evidence (only a fraction here), It is as George Sale put it a "bare-faced forgery". Muslims only undermine their credibility when trying to bolster their cause using it.

If our God was the same, yours would have an image as proved in Genesis 1`:26-27. Yours would have appeared to man as ours did. Yours would have never called any one of us ...
