Thank you for this review. Excellent content. Really impressed with the hone. The question I have. Is there any additional postal cost to pay. Buying direct from hone.

Yes, to the UK £21. So if you need any accessories etc get them at the same time 👍

Extremely informative! How is the lifespan of the discs so far? I have seen a few reviews stating that their discs are already worn from sharpening a few knives.

I haven't seen any degradation yet (not even had to flip them over), but at the price they charge for new ones, I'm ok with replacing them if required, I need to get the 200 grit one anyway.

Copycat. Horl is the original...
@CloughReviewsАй бұрын
Agreed, and there are a lot of others out there. The Horl 2 is very well designed with great materials, however, completely overpriced and the Hone has a few design benefits that Horl doesn't have. 👍🏻

@@CloughReviews Have You checked the overall durability & quality of the different discs? Price only, has let me down so many times... "There's nothing more expensive than buying cheep.." And bytheway: If You don't trust the rubber feets on Your Horl: Just glue them! Other ways: Your presentations & reviews are excellent. (Except Your everlasting mourning about price..)

@@kjella.johansen1402 Thanks for the reviews bit, and I can't help the moaning 🤣. With regard to the discs, I would say the quality is better on the Horl (and the edges are rounded), they do still wear though but I would have thought they will last longer than the Hone. In saying that, the Hone's are double sided and so much cheaper. The gearing on the Horl 2 is excellent, truly excellent. Good point with the rubber feet. At the moment, I'm mixing and matching with both makes, tending to use the Hone knife stand but both of the rollers.

@@CloughReviews He,he...No hard feelings at all, Clough. Truth is that I'm always skeptic to almost criminal copies of original designs. And yes: Price is a very relevant argument for the Everyday Consumer. However: The price tag very often disappear into thin air, holding "The Real McCoy " in your hands. (I'm struggling not to mention my Leica cameras..) Keep on reviewing Clough! Yours are some of the very best out there!
