It all depends on the music, sir! For Electronic music, hip-hop, BB3 is way better - with a dedicated woofer and a cross-over tuned to deliver a deeper bass, to simulate a bass-reflex type sound. But try Yo-Yo Ma Bach Sonatas CD, the cello on the BB2 is way more natural than on BB3. BB3 resonates more, making the cello unnatural. Joe Bonamassa Blues-rock music is better handled on BB2, Iron Maiden, Metallica. What I am saying is, BB3 has been designed for punch music. BB2 is more natural. I compared both side-by-side, and I got the BB2. Great speaker.

For me its the opposite, Bb3 Has clearer sound, even having More bass it has a less bass heavy sigmature

U are correct the BB3 just sounds unnaturally bright which untrained ears prefer that sound I mix master and do production mostly hip hop and r&b and coming from the OG Boombox 1 the 2 was it’s clear successor

As long as it's covered from the sun and really high or low temperatures is should be fine. My BB3 lives in my garage. I live in TX. I only take it into the house when the temperatures drop to freezing.
