Now you can get a Z400 with low miles for around $4k and it's almost the same bike. Great way to start.

Great review, but the fork isn’t inverted. It’s just a regular right side up set up. That is, unless right side up is the new inverted.

Everyone wants a TFT display. Put a TFT display on your kitchen toaster. Put a TFT display on your toothbrush. Put a TFT display on your lawnmower. Put a TFT display on your espresso maker. I'd rather have higher quality suspension than a TFT display.

This is one of the bikes I'm considering for my first bike. Will probably take a bit of time until I ride it on the highways. How will it stand up to doing 100km/h (60mph) for an hour or so?? Riding it that oong, will the seat need to be changed?? Sorry for the noob questions.
@vitorbravo55353 ай бұрын
I've some experience with bikes. I will get mine maybe in the next 15 days. I'll let you know how it feels. By the way, it should not have any problems at around 100kmh. In fact it should do it comfortably. How tall are you? That matters
@shadowlibra98Ай бұрын
I'm 6ft 215.8 pounds. I got this bike in September and started riding in October to almost 1k miles. Only reason I havent put more on it is bc I'm taking it next week to get serviced and don't wanna exceed 1k before first service. Imo it's comfortable. It's my first bike(previous dirt bike experience tho) and it holds 60 easily. I actually have issues keeping it that low most of the time(I average about 70-75mph.) I topped it out on an extremely slight incline to 119 with no problem or shake(only held for a few seconds bc I wanted to see the max, not run it hard) Seating position is also pretty upright so you don't have to worry much about back pain. I'm bringing it to SC from FL(about 400 miles there) after the service next week so if I remember and can find the video/comment, Ill lyk how it goes

most videos about the ninja/z500 say they just lengthened the stroke. but on their website, kawalski says it's an all new engine. which one is more accurate?
@aluisious9 ай бұрын
It'll need a new block to lengthen the stroke so that's "new."

You've got the se version and I really dig the se version. I hear it's got some torque down low and good acceleration. Will it do 130 probably not but not everyone want too. Sharp bike too add a slip on for more throaty sexy exhaust notes , a tail tidy and keep rear turn signals too. And it seems perfect

I have a z500 base model. I am wondering if the improved "windscreen" on the SE provides any wind protection at all. Or if anyone makes one that does. I dont need much, but a little bit would be nice.

@BlackArroToons6 ай бұрын
@@davec8117 Not sure. I wonder if they wanted room to expand the engine over the years to eventually reach 499cc's instead of the current 451, and just decided to call it a 500 instead of a 450. I think 450 would've been fine and accurate.

@@BlackArroToons I think it has to do with the European market and displacement v. MCY license. I don’t think they will increase the displacement so they can sell in EU and the U.S. It really has to do with regulations, not what consumers want.

Most manufacturers are missing the boat on what people want. OK Make sport bikes, cruisers and adventure bikes. But they miss the people who just want a plain old street bike . Call them retro or whatever. Regular handlebars, flat comfy seat, metal fenders, none of the pointy futuristic body pieces. Gas tank, seat, side covers, good old fenders. Maybe make bikes again that the seat flips up on hinges so you can get to the battery and other stuff . And your not scratching your head roadside as to how to remove the seat. Hmmmm….sounds like my 1979 Triumph 750 Bonneville or XS650 Yamaha twin

Those bikes exist if you look at the retro class of bikes. My Moto Guzzi V7 850 is that kind of bike except for the metal fenders; but it does have shaft drive which is awesome! You can also look at the Triumph Bonneville or the Royal Enfield 650's.
