Inspiration is in the words A lot of folks say that a translation can’t be inspired. They say that only the original languages are inspired or that only the original manuscripts were inspired. (They are no longer with us). Scripture does not support this view. Many folks say that saying a translation is inspired is “double inspiration”’ That is a false statement as preservation KEEPS the inspiration and as such is not “double inspiration”. Here are examples of translations in the Greek and Hebrew texts. 1. Joseph spoke to his brothers through an interpreter. He spoke Egyptian yet it was recorded in Hebrew. Genesis 42:23. 2. Jesus spoke to Saul on the road to Damascus in the Hebrew tongue yet it was recorded in Koine Greek. Acts 26:14 This last one is problematic for those who say translations can’t be inspired as we know everything Jesus says is inspired and we know what Jesus said was recorded in Koine Greek and this was a translation of what Jesus said. These folks don’t see the error of their view when they say “original languages only” in this instance as they original language Jesus spoke in Acts 26:14 was Hebrew not Koine Greek. Yet they say that “the Greek” is inspired even though it is a translation. The issue is what is inspired. Scripture tells us it is the words that are inspired. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Notice is says all scripture IS given by inspiration of God not was given by inspiration of God (the originals are no longer with us). Scripture is given by written words and therefore that is where the inspiration lies. God promised to preserve His words: Psalms 12:6-7 6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. God’s words are pure words (without admixture of error). Proverbs 30:5-6 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. We need every word God gave us. Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. God gave warnings about messing with His words. Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Proverbs 30:5-6 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Revelation 22:18-19 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. I believe by faith that God preserved His words perfectly in English in the KJB. That means that I believe that if God had given the originals in English they would read EXACTLY as the KJB. I have all the words God gave. They are in English in the KJB today.

Riplinger and Ruckman were teaching heresy before I was on the scene, of course , but out of dozens of preachers I thought at least one FB would speak this kind of clarity in our churches. There was great preaching, of course. We would duplicate tapes and go hear brother Hyles at least once a year. Not.aking light of that. I disagree that 2 Tim 3:16 is entirely about how God originally gave the scriptures. “All scripture is given…” not “was given” Inspiration literally means “spirit in”. The words of Jesus are “spirit, and they are life” The breath of God is in the pages of scripture. A text properly translated carries with it the life and life-giving power of its Author. Modern versions are powerless in the sense that they have removed the “breath of God” by inserting meaning for the words. “There is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the most High giveth them understanding.”

Hi Tony I believe this in part because of people hearing the Word of God at the Day of Pentecost event in the book of Acts and By God instituting the languages at the tower of Babel event. Also God spoke to Pharoah and other world leaders prophecies, which by default is the Word of God. Jesus Christ to me is indistinguishable from the written word apart from ink and the fact that Jesusis in the flesh. What God wills to convey to us in the form of information can be expressed by God in various forms even ones and zeros that computers use. Our phone gets the Bible in one's and zeroes and translates it to a language we understand. It's the information in whatever form that comes to us to understand that it is the perfect truth of God's will and the information is EXACTLY the same in every case.
@TONY19021965
@TONY19021965 10 ай бұрын
@vinsonhelton7141 Well, that sounds nice. However, you are incorrect, and the events mentioned have nothing to do with your misguided approach to the Biblical references to scriptures and to The Lord Jesus Christ. While The Book and The Lord Jesus Christ are almost indistinguishable in character, there is true distinction between the written word and the Word incarnate in the pages of Holy Writt. Even The Lord Jesus Christ Himself makes the distinction between Himself and His words: "[62]What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? [63]It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:62-63 And it was John the beloved disciple under the inspiration of The Holy Spirit that penned, "[1]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2]The same was in the beginning with God. [3]All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3 And, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:14 And, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7 And, "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God." Revelation 19:13 It is most likely that the difficulty you seem to have with this very self-evident truth has more to do with your faith in scholarship being greater than your faith in God and His written word. This misappropriated faith eventually leads to one becoming one's own "Bible scholar" capable of reading Hebrew, Syriac, and Koine Greek and coming to some of your own conclusions about scripture. Because, let's face the truth, eventually every student has to make his own discovery after the realization that your "scholarship worshipping" writer/guide has his own biases that you just don't like or agree with. So you set out to come to your own conclusions, but there is a fatal flaw in this self-imposed authority; "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12 "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools," Romans 1:22 Either God's word is the final authority, or you are. Take your pick. But have no fear, either position has its own consequences. May God be merciful unto and grant you the grace to simply believe Him at His word.

@stanhalen247 Okay. Why are you directing this statement to me? Btw,the translation always trumps the "original." "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:" Colossians 1:13 "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5 If God had not guided the King James translators to translate The Hebrew/Syriac Scriptures into English, only the Jewish people, which is less than 1% of the world's population, would have the O.T. It would be worse for the New Testament because virtually no one communicates in Koine Greek, which is different than modern Greek. But God, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, saw fit to give us His word in the predominant language of the world in these last days, English, perfected, preserved, and given by inspiration in The Authorized King James Bible Conformable To The Edition Of 1611 A.D. I'm not sure if this reply answers or clears up my position, but I sincerely hope that it encourages you. God speed. Btw, nice Hymns song list. I love the old Hymns because they just seem to focus the mind and heart more directly on The Lord Jesus Christ. They minister to the soul and not the flesh. Praise God, and thank you. God speed.

Wrong. Inspiration is not limited to the original autographs only. If that were the case, it would mean the Bible we have today is not inspired. Inspiration is a reference the words themselves. The words are inspired or God-breathed. The KJB is the word of God and therefore inspired.

The sayings of this man are faithless and foolish. The King James Bible IS inspired. Inspiration is ACTIVE in 2 Timothy 3:16. All Scripture IS given by inspiration of God, not "WAS" given in original languages and died with koine Greek and Biblical Hebrew. Wherever the pure and perfect word of God is, there is inspiration. Were Peter's words on Pentecost in Acts 2 not inspired because they were translated by the Holy Ghost into many languages unto the understanding and salvation of 3,000 souls? Did the teaching and words of Jesus become UNinspired because His apostles recorded them by translating them into Koine Greek instead of the Hebrew in which Christ taught? Apostasy in the churches is not found only in charismaticism, ecumenism, emergent philosophy, new age influences, and the unification of various denominations with Rome. It is found in faithless "pastors" who claim to trust in the King James Bible but in truth deny that the word of God IS living and powerful because it IS inspired whithersoever it has been faithfully and perfectly translated as it was in 1611. I believe that the King James Bible is not alone the perfect word of God, but that it is in truth the INSPIRED word of God. For if it is not inspired, how then can one claim to believe it is perfect? Reject such preachers as these whose desire for scholarly acceptance has blinded them to the word of God and where it may be found. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" 1 Corinthians 3:19 "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it IS in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe" 1 Thessalonians 2:13 "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged." Romans 3:4 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63

He doesn't believe what the verse plainly says which is why he trys to argue it's in the past. The verb is in the present tense. The only reason you would think inspiration is a one time event is if you ignore every reference to the word "scripture" and inspiration in the Bible because it very clearly is not and translations are inspired and all throughout both testaments. This man has a Textus Receptus but the mindset of an Alexandrian critic. In doing this he just shows he doesn't know what he's talking about at all. Thanks for the video ^ In case you wanted/cared to know a small part of one example I have: Do you have a proper/accurate word search program? Type exactly "in", if your program is accurate it must include UPPER and LOWER CASE. There are 12,338 lower case, and 336 upper case. You should get 12,674. Type exactly "earth"........................................ it must specify LOWER CASE. You get 985 (If you get 987, it’s because of the EARTH in revelation, and Earth in Genesis). Type exactly "the"........................................... it must include UPPER and LOWER CASE. There are 17 with ALL CAPS, 62,173 lower case, and 1,851 upper case. You should get 64,041. Type exactly “Amen”……………………………it must specify UPPER CASE. You get 77. (If you get 78, it’s because of the lower case amen in Numbers 5:22). Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:21 are the verses where these four words come from. This is proof verses are inspired. Every phone has a calculator. YOU SHOULD GET 77,777. If your search program can specify what books of the bible you can search, specify only Genesis and Revelation: Type exactly “in” your program must include UPPER and LOWER CASE. You should get 767. (There are 754 lower case, and 13 upper case, in Genesis and Revelation). Type exactly “amen” or “Amen”, there are no lower case amen in Genesis or Revelation.
