Also just to be clear guys, this is NOT Kellen’s Inside Out Precision page! This is the shops channel but he will be doing all the archery equipment reviews!

I think if that’s the case, then price should be mentioned. Any customer of the shop would want to know that.

Oh no the reflex myth again. Measure the brace height. Next take a measurement at full draw from a line connecting the tangent points where the string contacts the cams perpendicular to the throat of the grip. Compare the brace to this measurement at full draw. This moment arm measurement is the only measurement that matters for stability at full draw. It doesn’t matter that the riser is straighter and the limbs are shorter. Reflex geometry measurements are completely meaningless. Brace height, Limb flex, and cam design are what really matters to lengthen that moment arm and resist torque about the axis of the grip. On some bows the brace height may be 6” but that moment arm is 7.5”. On another 6” brace bow that measurement could be 5”.

This guy understands it.

What you’re saying isn’t wrong, but, as a general rule of thumb, less reflex equals less torque. Also, in general brace height is directly correlated to riser geometry. But, for the tinkering folk, what you’re describing is something to look at

C’mon guys, every companies last 3 bows shoot exactly the same, tiny, tiny little differences that the average hunter would have a hard time telling. They’re all incredible bows!! Don’t fall into the rabbit hole!!

Awesome bow and for being lighter, it holds like a rock. But, the draw cycle with the new Hoyt’s is too hard to pass up this year. They really won that category with their ‘24 lineup 😮💨 I’ve been a long time follower and glad to see you’re still putting out content 👊🏼

I got the elite omnia last year and the lift 33 this year. I love both bows but I did notice the lift vibrate noticably more. It doesn't seem to be any louder but you can definitely feel it more after the shot. It does hold really well though especially for as light as it is. I got it more for TAC/3d and Western hunting while the omnia is more of my whitetail bow so I think it serves that purpose well. The vibration is my only complaint but like you said that's to be expected with a bow this light.

Yeah I got an omnia last year, I love it, I was worried, after watching a few KZbin video about tuning issues and cable rub..... Mine tuned up in a few minutes...

Everyone I know in my town that has got one has gone with the 29.5. A buddy I hunt with all the time said it’s more accurate that his 33 inch bow
@XXXston3wallXXX5 ай бұрын
When i shot the two bows side by side I preferred the 29.5 which surprised me, I believe it had to do with the fact that the 33 felt more tipsy/top heavy.

Thank you for the thorough and insightful review of the lift. If the Lord's willing, I'd love to shoot and if possible maybe own a lift 33 for dual purpose shooting.

Lift is a really great hunting bow, but to make the claim it has the forgiveness of a target bow is a stretch IMHO.

yes its far better than last years great model and not as good as next years model, whatever that may be.
@ross76844 ай бұрын
Purely subjective. I don't like how it feels; I think the new cam on the Lift is too aggressive. The older CrossCentric cams were nicer to draw IMO.

Now that I have experienced how 1/4" draw adjustments have made me a better shooter by having my draw length exact, I struggled with the Lift 33 as I am between mods for my draw length. Yes, you can twist strings, play with D loop length, but why do all of that when the Hoyt has 1/4" adjustment (and really more adjustments with the letoff on the mod too) built in? I will be interested in a Mathews one day if they offer 1/4" draw adjustment. Interesting to note, MFJJ said in a recent fireside chat with Tim that he is seeing more tuning challenges with the LIFT this year, they are pickier. Not my words, the words of the great MFJJ.
@tonyviers-de9qi5 ай бұрын
100% agree on 1/4” adjust. Great to see hoyt do that. However, hoyt QC and customer service is the worst in the business. . Mathews is top notch. I went with the lift and no regrets. It is a phenomenal bow . Tuning ?… i did have a bit more trouble than with my bows in the past , with my 204’s.
@huntsimple95275 ай бұрын
@@tonyviers-de9qi Thank you. I have never had to use customer service from either Hoyt or Mathews, so I have no basis to know how they do in that regard. Thanks for sharing.
@chesterphillips98815 ай бұрын
The Mathew's lift should come with a top hat kit (free) I've seen several lifts come with mis matched spacers and won't tune therefore you have to purchase a top hat kit $50.00 to find correct spacers for it. That sucks.
@huntg45 ай бұрын
The shop you buy it from should have all the top hats and tune the bow with you when you purchase it. You can have any configuration of the top hat sets, so there’s really no such thing as mid mismatching them. But I agree they should come with them so if a guy wants to tune at home, he can do it.

I can answer the question without watching the video. The answer is no. It is not that great. I shot the Lift 33 on 4 different occasions in 3 weeks. I did not buy one. I wanted to like it. I couldn't. It has that typical tail jumpy draw cycle Mathews bow have become famous for. On that big archery forum there are threads about derails and even some limb splinters. If I were going to buy a Mathews, and I'm not going to, I would buy the V3X. It is almost as quiet as the Phase 4, and has proven to be a rock solid platform. There are bows with much nicer draw cycles, great speed, and all of the features I need in a flagship bow. The Lift is a swing and a miss for me. I have owned a lot of Mathews bows over the years and some were fantastic. They have slowly moved away from smooth draw cycles in favor of speed. I want a bow that is enjoyable to shoot. The Lift just didn't do it for me.
@huntg45 ай бұрын
What’s interesting with the Mathews is that the draw cycle seems to depend on the draw length
@jasenlarue67334 ай бұрын
I’m a 31” draw and Mathew’s has the smoothest draw of any bow I tried at the time. I’m still rocking the Traverse and have not seen a new Mathew’s bow worth changing to.
@DB.KOOPER5 ай бұрын
The V3X/Phase 4 were/are better than anything anyone except _maybe_ Bowtech make TODAY... the Lift is a noticeable amount better then the V3X/Phase4's IMO.
