And Rashford, plays really well first half against Porto, looks like he’s getting some of his confidence back and then ETH benches him for “rotational reasons”?! He brings it upon himself with poor signings, poor coaching, poor tactics, poor team selection, poor sibstitutions and a very long list of unwanted records. Worst start to a premier league - twice. Worst premier league finishing position. Joint lowest number of goals. Worst goal difference. Worst ever Champions league campaign. Longest winless streak in Europe. Most ever number of injures. The problem is it’s both. In the early days of his tenure when he was having to do interviews justifying his tactics that WAS ridiculous and there is for sure more pressure from the media on a United manager, this is all true BUT Ten Hags football, tactics and game management have been consistently awful. So now this negativity is probably warranted. I think that’s the nuance, the media attention is OTT except right now it feels appropriate to what we are seeing, some people can’t see the wood for the trees at the moment, they’re rallying against United media bias but in the same vein they’re ignoring the reality of where we are. Or they’re so on board the ten hag sack train they’re ignoring blatant bias.
