It's a really slow class to start off with and the rage build up mechanic needs lots of work as your damage is literally 10x less without worgen form but that's all fixed when you chose eternal wolf form, but that's at level cap atm. Worgen form is amazing though. Best 1v1 class when you can get into worgen form without dying lol.

@@jack7780 honestly every class is like that, or at least they are trying to balance it like that. Necromancer got the nerf of being pushed to chill touch instead of Scarab Swarm so you have to be more conservative of your runic power till you reach 30 and choose it yourself. But it is an alpha and it has been mentioned that this is the most accurate form of Wargen so far. (Using leaps to catch up to a 60% increase mount and maul your enemy for trying to run)

I definitely prefer Scarab Swarm over chill touch, being able to generate Runic Power on every tick gives way more Strategic play than just "cast a 2second spell, gain fixed amount of runic power". Plus it's more thematic.

Yeah I’d say that ability is way to op low level so I imagine they will give it at a higher level. Definitely one of the cooler ability’s I’ve seen!

I created a "What if Necromancers were in WoW" thing a while back, and I gave them 2 dps specs, and a tanking spec. the 2 dps is the typical disease/army version, and the Lich/Cold version which seem to exist here. But the tanking one was that you'd summon a bulwark of undead to soak hits, and if an AoE ability was to happen, you could combine the ghouls/skeletons into a Abomination to soak the AoE and then explode to deal AoE damage/return to 6-7 Ghouls/Skeletons with an equal % of hp, of which you shared the HP pool of your minions to an extent (to allow for single target healing), if a summon died, you took 10-20% damage yourself. Tanking had a mix of abilities that you'd channel to improve your summons (generate resource) and spending resources to summon more/replace the undead you've lost. Other abilities included damage mitigation, a big summon to mix into the small summon pack, and stunning abilities like "Bone Spikes" which would also serve as a 2nd taunt mechanic. It seemed like a fun way to play the Necromancer class if one existed, but now CoA exists and I am SO excited to give this a try!

Honestly there's so many cool classes in CoA that I'm having BIG trouble just narrowing it down to one, but I think the one I'm most hyped for is Runemaster 'cause I absolutely love playing as Battlemage-style characters when given the option

One of the things that really caught my eye was the fact that one of the potential builds for Demon Hunter is described as a "Felfire Caster". I've always been a massive fan of warlocks, and the idea of a warlock-esque caster in leather, casting green fire spells with massive mobility just sounds crazy fun.

Necromancer could get something like Desecration from the old Unholy Death Knight tree for a slow, changed up to be a targeted AoE DoT effect. Could also give them something like a big RP building cooldown, or a passive that snaps up RP from nearby killing blows/corpses, just something that lets them get some quick power to bring out their ravening hordes, assuming the slow build-up of their secondary resource remains a problem unto the late game.

I am curious about reaper. I saw something in the description of "using your health to increase your damage" which is a mechanic I enjoy in many games. Especially if you are able to heal that same damage back up yourself with light stealing attacks.

If the ability that allows you to sic your minions on one target has a cooldown or doesn't even exist, then you could maybe use a combat pet like the engineering chicken or other pet to grant yourself a pet bar (with attack / follow / stay etc), the petattack command in your macros might just work for your minions,if they are regarded as guardians. In wrath of the lich king, you can control your fire elemental as a shaman by using petattack or petfollow with your spirit wolves out,since they give you a pet bar Would love to see son of arugal after tinkerer

There are quite a few classes that I'm interested in trying out. Starcaller, Cultist, and Runeweaver. I unfortunately don't have access to the server, but I do hope more information becomes available soon. I only just started playing on the server in the last week, so I'm curious how these custom builds will utilize roles. Which ones are the tanks for example? I would have loved one of those three I listed to have access to Tank.

would be cool if the necro had an ability "Soul Siphon" were you could sacrifice a skeleton instantly and consume all of its hp. If the damage is a bit lower on the necro, it would be nice to see them be able to tank a bit longer, and with this you could outplay some people with last second heals.

I was looking forward to the Riftblade but it looks like they scrapped it and replaced it with Venomancer. I'm not sure what class i'd want to play here. I'll have to look deeper into the classes, but maybe runemaster? Great video, I'm sure the necro will have better runic power generation at later levels. Tons of abilities not unlocked

I thought overkill was calculated into the damage number provided, is it damage dealt to you + over kill = how hard they hit? i thought the damage it displayed in the combat log was the damage they dealt, and the over kill was just how much it happened to go over ur current hp

You know what would be cool? Maybe a stacking debuff of 10% slow each up to 30% on all frost damage you do, but it capped at 30% and it wouldn't keep stacking so it would fall off and you would need to start to reapply it to get any more slow in.
