@@juliet4093 You just said there is no such thing as an inverter, cooling system, or a motor as each and every one of those things is replaceable and serviceable. You also stated that a 12-volt battery is beyond the understanding of a person unless BMW managed to get rid of it. You also stated that there is no such thing as a controller. If that area is not needed for the function of the car, it should end up being a storage location. Either way, the hood opens.

@ Are you claiming that an inverter, which is a black box cannot be changed? Are you claiming that the cooling hoses cannot be changed? Are you claiming that a car cannot be jump started? Are you claiming that the controller, which is the transmission, which is a circuit board cannot be changed? If none of that is accessible from the top by the hood, then the space needs to be accessible to remove debris from above all those components or it should be shielded by making it a storage location. If it is storage, it opens. Otherwise, it is an access hatch for someone that does not wish to remove the body. In certain car models, mechanics will weld to create the access hatch. There is little reason why anyone would want that to be on their hood rather than below their backseat.

Cool tech, but not a fan. The shape is frumpy and those seats def look uncomfortable. These Companies making electric cars are out of touch with consumers, if they want more people buying them make them cheaper or least same price as gas cars.
