I thought this car was nothing special. Then I had it as a loaner car for my X5 LCI. I would happily trade my car for this. Even despite the looks. The performance is just ridiculous. The pickup from 40 feels just as strong as a plaid. Yet the comfort and tech are just so good. Such a good package.

What was not told to you in this video is that the door sills are made of carbon fiber which reduces the solid thud noise. The windows are also frameless which don’t help as well.

It's really cool, but ill take a X5m competition. My friend has an x3m competition, and it is amazing. The only thing with me and electric cars is the charging yeah 80% charge in what 30 min? Cool but i rather gas up in 5 min and have 100% range in a gas power car not to mention exaughst noises

Mr. Bey, do you have any information on the the battery rebates on all the electric vehicles that you cover, and is it true that only batteries made in North America are covered under the rebate?

It’s not a rebate, it’s a tax credit that you must qualify for when you do your taxes the following year, meaning you have to have enough tax liability to get it. And yes, when the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law in August, only EV’s assembled in N.America qualify for the credit and starting in Jan 2023, they will start to look into where the battery minerals come from as well to qualify.

Well, the 92k example was optioned out for a trim that starts at a little below 85k. The $110k figure is a starting level for the M50 trim with no options. Not sure what it starts out with beyond just drivetrain and suspension improvements, though. Surely, there would be something, but it's just not clear what. Still, I think this is likely to be cross-shopped against the Model X (and the M60 trim may even be a counterpart to the Plaid), and I'm not even aware of any way to make this cost more than a Model X. So it's really a question of the creature comforts and driving dynamics of a BMW vs. FalconWing doors and Tesla's one and only real practical advantage -- namely that they have a reliable charging network.

New information and detailed helping me make some decisions as I am going electric.. just getting out of the new RRS 2024 model as it didn’t really feel that special, and wanted to try the EV route. This thing is definitely not a looker, but it may just be cool enough on the inside that I could care less! It appears that out of all the legacy manufacturers BMW is doing a pretty good thing especially with the range and overall driving performance, and at a decent price point vs. Porsche

True for all car manufactures really. For most of them, EVs are totally new territory, so few of them are sure what the consumer wants or how to proceed. BMW holding on to the use of unnecessary grills, for example.

Just as you starting driving, I finally saw just how stupid the (optional) glass crystal dial is as it reflected sunlight over your face. Quite a few other reviewers have pointed this out saying it can be quite blinding. So yeah the dial and door glass crystals look nice, but not really such a good idea. Other than that, I love the car! Plus I have a chance of winning this iX M60 in 3 weeks time, would be unbelievable if I did! (Oh, it will come with that crystal glass option).

Agree that it’s much quicker and has much better range than the e-tron, but the e-tron has proper massage seats for both driver and passenger, a much easier MMI control center, same adjustable suspension, and you can get a 2nd hand 2019 low mileage Prestige (fully loaded) one for $60k. I just did that. Traded in my Model Y for a Hyundai Ioniq 5, and traded that in for a 2019 e-tron Prestige, and absolutely love the e-tron. For the price, it’s really, really nice, and has almost all of the luxuries that this has.

I had this weird jerk (harsh shift) feeling when I test drove (even gentle on the pedal) with 60im, but not with 50i. Both were in sports mode while driving. Wonder if it's just the way 60im being tuned, or it's a setting I can change (really high regenerative braking?).

I saw one in person last week. At first from a distance it looked like a minivan. The proportions are very upright, the side profile is very cab-forward, and the ground clearance is more sedan than SUV-like. So essentially a minivan profile.

IX I bought BMW IX in October, drove 3 weeks, couple defects happened. BMW told me it’s dangerous to drive again and hold my car for almost two months to fixed. The driving assistant system could kill me if it fails when I use the cruise mode. BMW just suggest me don’t use the cruise mode which I have paid. Garbage products control and customer service, very regret buying BMW. 九世 我在10月份买了宝马IX，只开了3个星期，汽车就显示多系统故障，宝马告诉我，这台车已经不再安全了，并把我的车留下修理了近两个月。现在当我使用巡航模式时，如果驾驶助理系统再次出现故障，可能会遭遇生命安全。宝马只是建议我不要使用巡航模式。可是这是我付了钱的。 垃圾产品控制和客户服务，非常后悔购买宝马。
