Waah? Wait, only 100? I expected him to have like 50,000. But now hes got 40,000? This goes well with my youtube "burst" theroey. There is a point where your subscriber count matches your video count, and then one day bam, you wake up with 40,000. From there you will be at 100,000 in no time. Pretty soon, you might start living off your youtube videos. But thats all for the future. They can burst at any time, sometimes 3 months, sometimes years. Mine still hasn't bursted yet. Im at 9 subs with 12 videos.

In India (as a fact, no sarcasm): Pentium is for cheapo's and school usage Core 2 is for old-time gamers Core non-K is for smart gamers Core K is for people who want to blow their money. APUs are for people who work and play. FX is for the smarter gamers.
@GraveUypo8 жыл бұрын
core non-k is worthless. you buy any of the recent ones and my 2500k will blow you out of the water.
@RatbagTheCoward8 жыл бұрын
+GraveUypo Hardly. With all the extra power consumption, the extra stress you're imposing on your CPU and the money you'll blow on a top end cooler to keep the thing from nuking the house, you could've bought a superior non-K i7 instead.
@GraveUypo8 жыл бұрын
kcipopnevets absolutely could not. i won't bother converting to dollar, but here are the prices: i paid R$ 500,00 for this cpu back in 2012. R$ 100 for the cooler. that wouldn't cover half the price of an "equivalent" non-k i7, which in turn would be a LOT worse than this cpu is. btw a new i7 to match this nowadays is R$ 1600. so yeah, there's that too. you don't need a top end cooler to do overclocking. never did, never will. there are PLENTLY of quality cheap coolers. what you shouldn't do is use the godawful intel stock cooler. even if you're running your cpu stock. seriously, it's terrible. an moderately overclocked cpu will run cooler with a cheap-but-good aftermarket cooler than a stock cpu with stock cooler.
@RatbagTheCoward8 жыл бұрын
***** Mainly superior as in feature-wise I meant, oops. Synthetically, sure, the K Sandy Bridge i5 would keep up with most of the Core lineup until around Cannonlake but the stock i7-2600 would've been less ill-advised for only $50 USD more, with more instruction sets, better single core performance, and hyperthreading (FX-8350 can't compare ;P) But, only for the spur of the moment of course. Even then, the i5-2400 has proven to be an amazing CPU today and plenty of Core is quick enough for barreling through any task, but to each their own I suppose; you can never work too fast. More power to you!
@GraveUypo8 жыл бұрын
kcipopnevets yeah, i could, no joke, use a cpu a dozen thousand times faster than this one for rendering in 3DSmax. but we have to make do with what we have available. for now, this is plenty for gaming.

Well, with the Pentium G4400 the series has continued but being locked it simply isn't as good as a result, clearly this was a one off, confirmed by the fact It was only unlocked because it was the 20th anniversary. The Pentium won't be cool again until the next unlocked anniversary chip, probably 25.
@mcl_official20XX8 жыл бұрын
You can still overclock the Pentium g4400 along with pretty much all "non-k" cpus if your motherboard has older drivers installed, a KZbin channel called Science Studio made a few videos regarding the subject.
@JoshuaNicoll8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I follow that channel too, I even gave him two Matched Xeons. I cannot advise baseclock overclocking because you can damage components over the long term, whether that actually matters as if the parts will still be in use if something does break. you also don't get as stable an overclock, or as much of one.
@dunxy8 жыл бұрын
It all depends on chipset, some boards separate stuff like PCIE clock when increasing BCLK, these you have no real danger on overclocking, others not so SAFE. Ive got an x79 running 125BCLK (because non K i7), as it has done for years. For sure its not as simple as upping a multi and throwing some vcore at it,some of us grew up overclocking before unlocked chips where a thing!
@JoshuaNicoll8 жыл бұрын
No, on intel, SATA, RAM PCIe, networking and everything is derived from the baseclock, overclock that and everything gets overclocked. the X79 PCH is LGA 2011, only K series Sandy Bridge-E and Ivy Bridge-E where released on the LGA 2011 socket, so unless you have the one exception (well two I know of) or a xeon you can overclock. LGA 2011 CPUs are now pretty cheap, if you happen to have said i7-3820, it wouldn't cost too much to upgrade. While some of these things don't like being overclocked, it doesn't kill them, might just act funny. AMD overclocking is a slight pain, Core 2 overclocking is as much of a pain, lets not remember back to Pentium and Athlon days and before, we all have nightmares of those times, those are dark times, we shan't not speak of them.
@dunxy8 жыл бұрын
Joshua Nicoll There are straps to adjust to keep ram at desired clock, pcie is seperated, at least on my board.It does not OC with BCLK of 125.At least, this is my understanding and the way my system runs, shows this.I assure you there is nothing happening with PCIE clock, or it would make my gpu unstable as its OC'd absolute MAX.Sure ram would run out of spec, if left at auto, just adjust straps to drop it within spec. Im not alone in this understanding, there are just as many who do the same , no problem, as there are those who claim BCLK is evil and will kill your board.Im sure there are boards where you cant adjust straps for anything, and the scenario you describe is true, but i do not belive it is the case with mine.If you are certain, tell me how can be proven if i am actually increasing PCIE frequency? My board is a gax79-up4 and you are correct, i have a 3820.Its @ 4.75 with 125BC, multiplier is not maxxed as to do so, i have to throw stupid vcore to get it up even 1.I have had it stable at 4.95, but temps were scary! I still stuff around overclocking old c2d and c2q for the lulz, got about a dozen in my collection.

Using a Pentium D Extreme Dual Core clocked to 3.8GHz for all my daily needs. Got that thing off Amazon for $8...... yeah... you read that right, it was over $100 off. For my LGA775 board, it kicked the single core Celeron 2GHz that was in the secondhand PC of this dimension. I have to say, even a 400MHz OC does a lot for minimizing lag, old but gold. Not to mention my sub 10 second boot speeds on my highly customized Linux.
