The Taycan 4S with 20” wheels gets 260mi range at highway speeds with range mode 70-80 mph. I love my Taycan 4S, it’s a road trip monster. Charging is blazingly fast.

And the recent "EV Cannon ball" record holder still is the Porsche Taycan 4S. 😊😊 All these stupid EPA- "only 200 miles of range blah blah blah"claims about the Porsche Taycan models are pure nonsense, because several range tests have even shown almost 300 miles of range with a 4S.

Keep waiting. With a range of 200 miles, it's ok for a casual, from time to time driver. But I don't see too many buyers who will drop that kind of $$$ for a car that can't get you from San Diego to Santa Barbara with no traffic. But it looks promising. When they finally come up with a battery that gets 450 miles everything will change. Just be patient. Courage, mon vieux!

On throttle : The 4S is the sweet spot in the Porsche Taycan lineup. If I wanted a sports car I would definitely buy that trim. I’ve owned 4 Performance Model Tesla last 6 years : Model S ,3’s , and now a Y performance. The Model Y performance Is my favorite all’s round EV . As fast as the 4S ,if not slightly faster at 3.5 seconds to 60mph (on throttle all the time lol never gets old , handle like on rails, charging network is free for me for 1 year and a useful trunk and preferable road which for forward visibility. Great overall review Joe!

Love your videos Joe! Few things, not sure if you did launch control but the Taycan has launch control in Sport and Sport+ mode so that’s worth demonstrating. The GT steering wheel with the drive mode selector is included only with the Sport Chrono package (in addition to the dashboard clock). And the overpriced full leather package will soften some of those arm rests on the doors :) Please do a review if the Cross Turismo variants when you’re able to!

Correction at 3:16, the 20” wheels are from the Taycan Turbo, not Turbo S. The S has 21” wheels and PCCB Carbon Ceramic Brakes (yellow). The Taycan Turbo has PSCB Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (white). This car has the Turbo wheels and tires but the 4S steel brakes. Correction at 15:30, the Built in 150kW 400V charger is an upgrade worth mentioning but is located in the front of the car buried within the body. The Charger you see is the trunk is an 9.6kW 120v or 240v AC charger to use in your home. For maximum power you would need a 60amp breaker on a NEMA 14-50 socket installed by an electrician.

With one of the doctors that I work with, he bought the Porsche I can. There are things I like, and things like this like, an example would be regarding the air conditioner/heat vents. You have to go through the touch screen and point the way you want them to aim at you, versus manually doing them yourself. And the thing you did mention Raiti, is the panoramic sunroof, that thing sucks with the heat... But man the acceleration when you go from a dead stop to ford, reminds me of the Superman ride at six flags magic mountain.

Maybe I’m wrong but from what I have seen so far EV power is pretty much the same for all. Takes away from what in this case a Porsche would be. Seems like EV get a Ford or Porsche and the power is going to be equal based on size of power plant vs the actual engineering…
