I got this radio on sale for $29 on Amazon. Worth every penny!

I've got the Raddy RF750 and I think its a great little radio/blue tooth speaker. I keep mine in my day-pack along with a charged Anker 20,000 mah power pack, which I can use for charging the Raddy or my cell phone. I am also a longtime shortwave listener so this a neat little radio to always have with me.

It's worth the money for three reasons. 1. AM/FM 2. NOAA 3. USB - C chargeable

You are correct - especially in North America. That Weather Band is a MUST. [ Ian❗️]. 📻🙂

@@jeffking4176 I spent two days listening to NOAA and FM while the internet and TV were out during IAN. We had power and I could have rigged up a dipole for the TV but I didn't.

I have the HRD-701 its a very nice radio digital in my case and I really like it and has great sound for the small speaker, in fact best sound I have ever heard from something of this size. only thing of no use to me is the NOAA as i am in the land downunder. mine cost me $49 AUD and another I ordered for a friend was $44 or so. I wouldnt mind getting the analogue version of this radio it looks nice, something to tune around in bed in the dark.

5:00 You misspelled metre. A meter is a device used to measure. The unit of measurement is called a metre. They're spelled differently, because they're different words.

Mine constantly receives or generates weird digital wifi like computerised sounds. Like the gsm sounds used to sound when someone called you in the early gsm days, but different, allmost like packet radio or something. Happens every now and then and if it occurs its about every 3 to 5 seconds that sound comes through. My wifi is off, my bluetooth too (also on my phone) and theres no other radio signals in the house, when it occurs. It's very annoying. Can it be that it is generating that itself, due to it's maybe broken or something? Or can it be that it is receiving some weird things from my pc/keyboard? (Cause it was standing about 30 cm's away from my pc.) Or was it my cellphone coming through?

Never hold an antenna tuning SW. On most Receivers it degrades the signal.

TIP: the SD card can be loaded with tons of audio books or podcasts which will be much more enjoyable then music in this small a speaker. i have a library of 1930's SciFi shows too!

Have you found a way to switch between folders on the SD card without clicking manually through all the recordings in the current folder? Otherwise, it would be very difficult to browse through the recordings without a screen monitor.

@@jrnp25152 no way. That is why i sawbig files are better. This isnt a mp3 walkman, its a simple comfort/emergency radio. Just load 'mix tapes' and let it play.

First time watching your review. Someone asked me about it, but I haven’t seen any other reviews yet. (( I have quite a little collection of radios [ some 250 ] of all types from Pre-WW2 , to most of the higher end portable SW radios on the market currently.)) Just a couple of notes: * it was NOT the Internet that [ so called] “killed “ Short Wave, but rather the end of the Cold War, along with time. It simply didn’t pay to dump money into outdated broadcasting equipment [ well, except maybe for Cuba 🤣]. The fact that many SW Stations did shut down, but many others do still B’cast - just, not directly to North America. There are also new stations, and a couple of U.S. based stations are doing more than only Religious programs. WMRI, rebroadcasts Radio Slovakia , Radio Tirana, RADIO UKRAIN INTERNATIONAL, R. Taiwan, RAE Argentina , and others. WTWW- 5085 kHz WTWW Lebanon Tennessee USA, playing OLDIES- with “Instant Requests “❗️ Also, sad to say, Eton has finally retired the Grundig brand. But Eton has some great radios. C.Crane, TECSUN, and Sangean are the biggest brands now . And Kaito.. Tecsun stated that they sell WELL over 5 Million SW radios a year. No, Short Wave is Far from dead‼️😁 Now: THIS TINY little radio, obviously does work, but it’s size seems to make it more a Novelty, than a “serious “ radio. THATS just my opinion [ at the moment]. I’ll have to see more tests, and more data. {** I have Subscribed to your channel **} 📻😁❗️

I have Eton's in all of my bags and vehicles. And 250!!! Wow!! I have 21 HT's, 3 VHF/UHF mobile rigs and two CB's. I thought I had a lot. But hey I can talk to LA from Orlando on 11 meters with 4 watts!!

All that functionality and no headphone jack kills it. Something like this is obviously going to be something people will look at for an emergency radio, and headphones are a big deal for some of us for that purpose. Not only does it help with battery life, but you may also be in a situation where you do not want to be noticed. Close, but not quite my radio. Back to the hunt.

You can always use Bluetooth headphones...
@quebirt Жыл бұрын
@@FAAMS1 True, but, again, this is going to mostly be interesting for emergency preparedness. Bluetooth is less reliable period than a wire, and it requires another battery to be maintained. If you can find a bluetooth headset that uses AAAs, that helps, but meh.... The designer should not have skimped on what would have been pennies per unit to add a standard headphone jack.

@@FAAMS1 Is this not just a Bluetooth receiver? I.e. it can't transmit to headphones? Thnx.
