@@maxzett Hate is a normal human emotion that everyone has, regardless of their claims. But I don't see how this relevant to the topic at hand. This is very simple, heat is energy, and energy over time is power. The chip uses more power depending on if temperature allows it and if VRM can give it, so the better the cooling and VRM the more power the chip uses, thus the more energy is released as heat. Intel chips use a significant amount of power more in comparison to "the competition" while not producing a significant amount of computations, again, in comparison to "the competition". Thus, Intel runs hot. Of course there are exceptions that you may or may not be willing to jump right at to champion Intel with. At 1:52, Alex says you can charge from BOTH sides of the laptop. Is that really true, or did he mean "either side of the laptop" instead? Double charging speed by plugging in 2 bricks sounds intense.

@whoisthatthingwhat4 жыл бұрын
um, your joking right?, no bootcamp on m1, egpus through thunderbolt dont work on m1, so your just getting an overpriced arm cpu with no upgradable ram or storage and you think that could beat something like a laptop ryzen with a mediocre gpu.
@pa1Z4 жыл бұрын
@@whoisthatthingwhat but you do realise I and he said 13 inch? find me a 13 inch that is faster than the m1. You won't find one. And if you don't see it as a computer (which is understandeble) its even sadder. Defeated by an ipad with keyboard

The keys are inconsistent because when typing, the finger hits the bottom of the key for the top row, and the top of the key for the bottom row.

Oof, that power button key right by the backspace key is a big no-no. You're definitely going to accidentally hit that while you're typing a long e-mail message or something, and it's going to ruin your day. I hope that's changed in the production model.

Skip the Stealth for the Blade 15? I'd agree if you just want to game but: 1. No one buys the Stealth primarily to game, they buy it for portability and the option of playing any title on the go. 2. Xe might be twice as fast as Iris, but it's nowhere as fast as a 1650ti. All in all a good looking alternative to Surface, Dell and HP's ultrabooks for sure.

So, let me get this straight. For less money you can get the top spec Zephyrus G14, which will bitch slap this thing in every performance metric except maybe single core performance (MAYBE), has a slightly larger 120Hz screen, similar battery life, an actual 2060 Max-Q that you can realistically game on, similarly good build quality, actually decent speakers... So explain to me, unless you hardcore want a 16:10 screen or really need a webcam integrated, what is the point of this thing? Or any similar Intel laptop in the market for that matter.

With the keyboard. Realistically, are you going to be hitting the Q key in the upwards quatrain? It's realistic to be able hit home row keys in any quatrain, but upper keys don't need upper reinforcement, and lower keys don't need lower reinforcement.

I think the Zephyrus G14 is the benchmark to live up to right now for a laptop above 1500 dollars. 8c/16t, dedicated GPU, big battery, and decent build. No dedicated GPU is fine, as it is a chunky laptop versus the Book, but the Razer Book is just leaving so much on the table.

If razer made something like this without dedicated graphics, AMD ryzen mobile apu, and lowered the price, I'd be totally in. I absolutely love the build and look of razer laptops, but I don't intend to do any gaming on a laptop so no need for gpu, and the battery life and performance of mobile ryzen is nuts. Then, as a student, price is a biggy.
