Many people have their own opinions/questions about the Rosary such as:
"Where is it in the Bible?"
"Isn't it blasphemous?"
"How is saying "Hail Mary" not idolatrous?!"
I dive in and discuss these common questions and answer from THE BIBLE. See you there! #catholic #rosary #catholicism #thecatholicmarine #bible

When I was Protestant, I never said anything about the rosary because I really didn't know what it was. I don't offer my opinions on something I don't know or understand. I didn't learn it until I was in RCIA. The first time I said the rosary prayer by myself, my prayer was answered in ONE HOUR! I was convinced of its power that day. That was 4 years ago when I was 64 and in RCIA. The rosary is now part of my spiritual life. I say it at least once per day along with Angelus, prayer to my guardian angel, and other prayers. This former Protestant is convinced of the power of the rosary!!!

That's actually not true. We are praying to Mary. There are many Catholic prayers directed to saints, angels and Mary, we are praying to them not through them, we are asking THEM to pray for us, we are directing our prayers to them, not to God. We are worshiping them, not as gods, but as other people, our brothers, and sisters, who are close to God, who can see His Face, therefore their intercession, will be much more efficacious. God want's us to worship them, He want's us to go Through them, to ask them for help, for them to purify our intentions, our prayers. For example, a child wants a bicycle, but there is no money for it in the family's budget, if he\she asks a father for it, he'l say no, because it doesn't fit in the plan for the month, but, if he\she goes to the mother, and asks, she will go to the father and asks for a bicycle for the child, father will say yes, because he will be doing it for the mother, his wife, not just a child. Of course this analogy isn't perfect, but I think it illustrates the dynamic. Remember Cana, when Jesus said “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” He didn't do His first public Miracle, until Marry asked Him to do it. He did it because of Her, not the bride or groom, She interceded for them.

@@Christopher-yn3sk The key word is "worship." Yes, you are correct in that we pray to many in the heavenly realm, including our departed own loved ones, but this does not constitute worship which is reserved for God alone. Many Protestants, who have no sacraments, or not all of them, confuse prayer with worship. "Latria is sacrificial in character, and may be offered only to God. Catholic and Orthodox Christians offer other degrees of reverence to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to the Saints; these non-sacrificial types of reverence are called hyperdulia and dulia, respectively. In English, dulia is also called veneration." (From Wikipedia on Latria)

This is the most concise and probably best explanation I've heard for the rosary. Excellent! I don't often pray the rosary (I pray the morning and evening offices in the Liturgy of the Hours), but when I do, I have the feeling of praying in the presence of Mary, in a sense praying with her. While this is a good defense of how the rosary points to biblical references, it misses the point of why other Christians dont believe it is God ordained. Nowhere in the Bible does Christ use the concept of the rosary to instruct his followers how to pray to the Father. I could just as easily invent my own tool and system for praying and tie it to biblical references - but that would not make it “biblical”. This is man-made and not God ordained.

Heb 5:12 ... need to be taught Since when cant you Pray Scripture and Mediate On Christs Passion and Incarnation *Rosary is* identified with the *meditation* on the Fifteen Mysteries of Christ’s life praying, the Hail Mary’s and the Our Father’s. The Sign of the Cross In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Sign of the Cross is made with the right hand by touching the forehead at the word "Father," the chest at "Son," and the left and right shoulders at "Holy Spirit." The Apostles' Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. * I believe the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. Lord's Prayer (Our Father) Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name, Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. * Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary Hail, Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. * Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. * As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Fatima Prayer O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Let us pray. O God, Whose Only-Begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life: grant, we beseech Thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen In summary: the Rosary is 65% directly to Jesus and about him. It is 35% honouring and requesting prayers from Mary, his Mother. 88% of the Rosary is directly from the Bible, 12% is from the wisdom of early Christians. There are two layers, the meditation layer and the physical layer. The Meditation Layer Each decade of the Rosary focuses on a section of Scripture as a meditation. These are called the mysteries. Out of 20 meditation decades (5 are done each day) 18 of them follow Jesus through the Bible and two are related to Mary (Assumption and Coronation). Meditations are 20 Mysteries: 18 Excerpts from the Bible (0.9) + 1 Based on the Bible (Coronation) (0.05) + 1 From the catholic tradition (Assumption) (0.05). That is: Jesus 90% Mary 10% (95% is right out of the Bible) he Physical Layer The Rosary starts with the Apostles Creed which is accepted in most denominations. It is 15 lines long, all of them scriptural. The “Our Father” is repeated before each decade (6 times). It is approximately 11 lines of text (in most Bibles). That is 36 lines of “Jesus” text. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. (Said after each decade)” is said 6 times, This is 4 lines long for a total of 24 lines O my Jesus, forgive us of our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls into heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. (Said after each decade)” This is said 5 times and is four lines long for 20 Lines. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. (Luke 1:28) Blessed art thou among women (Luke 1:41-42a ,Luke 1:48) , Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus (Luke 1:42b) Holy Mary, Mother of God (Luke 1:43) Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen The “Hail Mary” is 5 lines long but besides being mostly direct Scripture, line 3 is specifically about Jesus😎😎

I’m confused on how Mary can hear all our prayers (or all of us asking for her to pray for us). Wouldn’t she have to have some kind of divine power to hear billions of people at a time?
@thecatholicmarine
@thecatholicmarine 4 ай бұрын
+@MommyEtc That is a very good question. Scripture tells us that the Devil "...prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8. How is it that ONE person (The Devil) can prowl around looking to "devour" us all at the same time? He doesn't tempt all 7 billion of us one by one by one. Or when people attempt to summon the devil through satanic rituals scattered all across the globe and he answers. Does that mean the devil possesses some kind of divine power? Absolutely not. God in His divine wisdom allows the Devil to be able to do this (tempting) to every single one of us everyday. So if God allows the Devil (The Enemy) the ability to do this, would it be far-fetched to think Mary or any of the saints for that matter (Who lived for Christ, preached Christ and in some cases died for Christ) posses the able to hear our prayers? The Catholic Church does not claim to understand the exact mechanisms of how Mary or the saints hear our prayers, but it doesn't need to. "...with God, all things are possible." Matthew 19:26. Just like we believe God parted the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites. How is that possible?? I'm not sure, but God created a way. Mary is not All-Knowing or omnipresent like God but can hear our prayers and this is ONLY through God and because of God. The Bible tells us that the blessed in Heaven are alive and are conscious and fully aware of what is going on here on earth. Revelation 6:9-11. Again, great question. I hope I answered it. God bless you!

The best way I've had it explained to me recently is that the Catholic church is God's Kingdom here on earth. We people are all the living church itself, so it's just like any one of us talking to each other in the church asking someone to pray for us.

The Rosary is the Bible in summary. The 150 psalms and the 150 beads used in the Rosary is very significant. Before peasants could afford a Bible, the Rosary was available to everyone of the faith. Mary still insists that we pray the Rosary, it is the only weapon more powerful than bombs and satan. We dont say the Rosary, we pray the Rosary from our hearts while contemplating the life of our Savior.

Thank you for providing a very clear and humble understanding of praying the rosary. I am not Catholic, however I am a Christian and have a great love for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, Catholics included😊 I cannot reconcile the need for Mary to act as a mediator as Christ Jesus is our high Priest and mediator forever after the order of Melchizedek. I cannot understand nor find the “assumption” of Mary in the scriptures or any references to Mary being the “queen” of Heaven? I will continue to study the Words of God for understanding so that I may continue in love with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

Loved ''Christ Jesus is our high Priest and mediator forever after the order of Melchizedek.'' God is perfect. Anything that is perfect does not change. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. One example of Mary's intercession as a mediator is at the Wedding feast at Cana John 2:1-11 (2nd LuminousMystery). Our Lord Jesus obeys His Mother and at her request performs His first public miracle. And Jesus will still do so today🙏

In Revelation 12, we see a tableaux with a female figure bearing a child. We know the child is the Messiah by the reference, "destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod" -- which recalls the Messianic prophecy in Psalm 2:7 - "The Lord said to me, 'You are my son; this day I have begotten you. Ask of me and I will give you the nations for an inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession. You shall rule them with an iron rod; you shall shatter them like an earthen dish.'" Now, if the child in Revelation 12 is Jesus, the woman from whom he issues can only be Mary. Here's why: We see a vision of her in the heavens, clothed in the sun, wearing a crown, a symbol of royalty: "A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days... "When the dragon saw that it had been thrown down to the earth, it pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly to her place in the desert, where, far from the serpent, she was taken care of for a year, two years, and a half-year. The serpent, however, spewed a torrent of water out of his mouth after the woman to sweep her away with the current. But the earth helped the woman and opened its mouth and swallowed the flood that the dragon spewed out of its mouth. Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's commands and bear witness to Jesus." Queen of Heaven Much is made of the title Queen of Heaven by those who attack Catholicism and Marian devotion. The allusion is always to the pagan pantheons and to the mother of the gods, often mother in a very carnal sense of other pagan deities. The Canaanite worship of the "Queen of Heaven" condemned by the prophets is mentioned, as is the worship of Diana of the Ephesians, devotion to whom was exceeding popular before the Gospel arrived among the pagans. It is said that Catholicism at the Council of Ephesus restored this pagan devotion under the cover of devotion to Mary. The history of that Council given above shows the absurdity, and the intellectual dishonesty, of that claim! One might as well claim with respect to Jesus that Christians worship a mere man, since to arrive at this conclusion the Church's teaching must be ripped from its context and distorted to fit a preconceived judgement. What then does it mean for Mary to be the Queen of Heaven? In the Old Testament monarchy the Queen of the Davidic Kingdom was the Queen Mother. The Kings, for reasons of state and human weakness, had many wives, none of whom fittingly could be called Queen. That honor was reserved for the mother of the King, whose authority far surpassed the many "queens" married to the king. We see this is the role Bathsheba played with respect to King Solomon and the occasions when the Queen Mother acted as regent on behalf of juvenile successors to the throne. The role of the Queen Mother, therefore, is a prophetic type of the Kingdom role of Mary, just as the role of the Davidic King is a prophetic type of the Kingdom role of Jesus. Jesus inherited the Kingdom promised to David, who was told that one of his descendants would rule forever. The angel Gabriel revealed this fact to Mary at her Annunciation, Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:31-33) Aside from the prophetic types present in the Kingdom of Judah, there is also the text of Psalm 45, which when speaking of the Kingdom of God also speaks of its Queen. [6] Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. [7] Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. [8] All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. [9] Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir. [10] Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; [11] So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. (Psalm 45:6-11, KJV) That Kingdom ruled by God is the same as the Kingdom ruled eternally by the Son of David. It is not an earthly kingdom, though it is present on earth in the Church, but a heavenly kingdom, the Kingdom of God. The Queen of that Kingdom is the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Lord God Jesus Christ The woman spoken of in Revelation 12 is Mary. A few observations: • The woman is a great sign and appears in heaven. This is the Catholic view of Mary--that she has an important role in heaven and in the plan of redemption. • She is clothed with the sun, has the moon under her feet, and a crown of 12 stars. In the passage in Gen 37:9-10 the sun, moon and stars bow down to Joseph. This point is often missed by commentators. Therefore, Mary has a role similar to Joseph's in providing redemption to God's people. Joseph "saved" the Israelites and ruled over them just as Mary "saves" the church and rules over it. • Mary gives birth to the Messiah. This is the only literal meaning of the text. • Satan was cast down to earth as a result of events surrounding Christ's birth. Satan went after the child Jesus with a vengeance as we see in Herod's decree to kill the children. • Mary escapes to the desert--to Egypt, for safety and to protect Jesus. She was there for three and a half years. • Jesus was snatched up to God and His throne at His ascension. • Satan was unable to harm the child Jesus so he went off to destroy the rest of Mary's offspring. Notice who these are--those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Mary's other offspring are the church. She had no other children other than Jesus. She is the spiritual mother of the church.🤔🤔

house on the hill , i know you are trying to be polite , but catholics are not our brothers and sisters in Christ . They believe in a totally different doctrine Roman Catholicism that is not biblical at all . I would suggest to research the Roman Catholic Church (on none catholic sites) and you will find out how corrupt and evil it really is . Untold millions will go to hell ,because of this diabolical religious deception . Christians really need spiritual discernment every day Jesus Christ our living Savior and Lord said : let no man deceive you .....

Just happened upon your channel. Great job of explanation. I think many Protestants are too lazy to actually walk through the Rosary, or don't want to admit that they are not in the right place. Christ never intended that there be 40,000 different sects, each with its own spin on God's Word, that call themselves Christian. That's not unity--that' insanity. Luther lamented that now every milkmaid would interpret the Bible her own way. I was proudly in the Corps decades ago. My Rosary does not contain the Luminous mysteries. I don't like people, if even popes, messing with tradition. Love the pre-1955 Missal, too. Lex Orendi, Lex credendi.

A couple questions. You said Mary “gave us the prayer of the rosary.” When and where in scripture does she do this? Second question. Why is specifically the rosary or ritualistic prayer important? Why should I not just pray as I do every morning, directly bringing my struggles and life before God? How does asking Mary to pray on my behalf supposedly “enhance” prayer? Is God not able to answer all prayers regardless of the inclusion of Mary? Is the rosary a requirement for catholics or merely something they are taught and encouraged to do? I was raised a Mennonite, later became a part of the EFCA in high school, and I’ve since left the church (Not Christianity, but the church) alltogether and over the past 2-3 years I’ve been researching Eastern Orthodox and Catholic faith as I’ve never actually given either any attention.

Good evening! Those are very good questions. I'll answer in order: 1. The Rosary was first handed down to a man named Saint Dominic in the year 1221, obviously centuries after the Bible was written. 2. It is an important devotional because it invites us to meditate and focus on the life of her son, Jesus Christ. Whenever someone prays the rosary, they are actually walking through the Gospels. It's both a vocal prayer and meditation prayer. The vocal prayer is taken from Luke's Gospel, and the meditation portion is taken from all four Gospels. 3. You can absolutely pray to God in the way you described. The Rosary is just a prayer that gives us something to focus on, specifically Jesus Christ. 4. God can absolutely answer any prayer from a contrite heart without the Rosary. 5. Although the Rosary is highly encouraged for ANY Christian to pray, it is NOT a requirement for Catholics to pray it. I will advocate for the Rosary however and can tell you from first-hand experience that it has helped me and aided me in my Christian faith. Like I mentioned eariler, I literally meditate on the Life, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ while I am praying the Rosary. It absolutely is about Christ. Outside looking in, somone may believe its about Mary but it's actually all about her son. Which is why I LOVE praying it. There are many Non-catholics who pray the rosary simply because they want to meditate on Christ. I encourage you to research further about the other beauties and treasures that Jesus Christ Himself has given us through His Church, The Catholic Church. I hope this helped! God bless! 🙏

Hey Tony! Thank you for your question. So in Genesis 5:24, Enoch was taken up into heaven without dying. This is echoed in Hebrew 11:5. Also in 2 Kings 2:1-13, Elijah was taken up to heaven without dying as well. I used that verse to show that biblically, people have been taken up to heaven without dying. I cited the document from Pope Puis XII pertaining to the Dogma of the Assumption of Mary so one can further read why the Catholic Church believes in this. Hope this helps! @@thecatholicmarine , thanks for your reply. I personally believe the Holy Mother is in Heaven, nonetheless, the scriptures doesn't actually say she ascended to Heaven, nor does the "woman clothed by the sun with a crown of 12 stars mean she is the queen of Heaven.. I believe the Holy Mother is greatly honored in Heaven, and she wears many crowns (that she earned by her works) , but that is conjecture and not directly stated in the Bible.

Great work but you should have rephrased the title differently. As it is now, the title seems to suggest doubts or negativity about the Rosary. So, I suggest the title to read: "The Rosary is Biblical: It is not Idolatry". With this rephrased version, a viewer would have been primed as to what direction the video is going.

Before Saint Pope John Paul II came out with the Luminous mysteries, a priest came out with a Scriptural Eucharist mysteries of the Rosary 📿 pamphlet. I’ve bought 💯 of them and produced two new mysteries: the Word of God mysteries and the Incarnation mysteries. The Word of God mysteries include: 1: the Gospel is veiled (read 2 Corinthians 3:13-4:4 and John 6:48 & 56). 2. Jesus is tempted with a perversion of scripture (read Matthew 4:5-7). 3. Jesus Christ is the WORD OF GOD (read John 1:1-15, 8:12, 12:46 and 18:37). 4. Christ’s Church is the authoritative source for interpreting scripture (read John 3:11 & 4:31-42). 5. Jesus interprets the scripture for His Church (read Luke 24:13-35). The Incarnation mysteries include: 1. God’s image; 2. The Type of Incarnation; 3. The Incarnation; 4. Christ’s Human Nature; 5. Christ’s Divine Nature.

True how wonderful the rosary is. Being a cradle catholic through the rosary I’ve learned to appreciate the creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Hail Mary and Glory be. It wasn’t till I was on my 50’s did I realize and still learning the beauty of the prayer. Please when saying the creed pause and digest the first 2 words I believe before continuing… as for the Lord’s Prayer Our Father as will take care of us as children. … so when we get to the part give us this day our daily bread and forgive us for our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass us think of mercy like a prodigal son whose father didn’t just forgive his son but lifted him up back to his previous status . Lead us not to temptation is asking for guidance…. Since childhood we were always asked to choose hot or cold black or white, strawberry or vanilla, etc. these choices somehow molds the path we follow Once saying the rosary a question popped up. What was the seed that bore the fruit in the words blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. A few days later was the answer in the gospel of the sower and the seeds where the seed is the word. Glory be the Father, the and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, now and forever. Remember the words I am the alpha and omega

@@justthink8952 no that’s not how the early Christians translated and understood that passage. Is true that Christ (God) is the one that holds the power to defeat the serpent but the crushing is done through Mary as God always uses instruments to deliver his will. The “He” in genesis is God (Jesus) therefore “He” speaks of “She” etc etc … this mistranslation was popularized in the 19th century so is not authentic and is part of satan’s deception, and not a true Christian translation.

I entreat your audience to at least read the entire chapter 12. or better still can start from chapter 11 of Revelations. Again, not at any point did the book of Acts record such prayer practice. Through out the life of Christ, He constantly openly pointed to Himself as the only way access to the grace and treasure of God the Father. Why else would you need a rosary? Thanks. Love you.

I was praying the rosary when The Holy Spirit was talking to me and He told me to reverse it to pray 10 our Father’s prayers and one hail marry and the rosary has Jesus crucified but He is resurrected now He is no longer in the cross We worship a resurrected Savior now and we need and must have The baptism of The Holy Spirit and His Holy Spirit Fire 🔥 in us to transform us into His image and into His likeness and to discern good from evil. We all need to grow as believers from Glory to Glory to eat meat 🍖 and not only milk 🥛 Awakenings Revelation and Revival are Happening as we speak right now The church needs to wake up to the Supernatural of Our Heavenly’s Father agenda and not men in Jesus Christ Name Amen Hallelujah Hallelujah HalleluYah Hallelujah Amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

According to Catholic tradition, the title of Morning Star is given to the Blessed Mother of our Lord. Just as the morning star announces the coming of the day, appearing in the sky and reflecting the light of the sun, "Mary appeared on the horizon of salvation history before Christ," and shows us the way to Him 🙏

@@bettyadejo890 i do not doubt your sincerity , but you are advocating a false catholic religious symbolic ritual . The Living Savior and Lord Jesus Christ saved me a long time ago and gave all the love and peace i needed . After all Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace . By pointing out catholic fallacy's it is not hate , it is true concern for your eternal soul . Sadly catholics think this catholic religion covers them and the most you all can expect is a pagan purgatory that does not exist , its anti -biblical . Jesus Christ said : I Am The Way . The Truth , The Life and No One comes to the Father but by Me . He also said let No man deceive you ! Religion was and is Satan's great deception and millions sadly fall for it . @@isrberlinerin4063 What we believe in isn't false. The eucharistic transubstantiation and others you talk about are in the Bible. The holy Eucharist for example, you can read the Gospel of John chapter 6 and when you get to verses 53 to 55 you will see Jesus Christ telling us the importance of eating his body and drinking his blood. He practically gave us this instruction on Holy Thursday. In terms of purgatory, the words of Revelations 21 : 27 says that nothing unclean can enter in the Lord's kingdom. Right the word PURGATORY is not in the Bible but that doesn't mean the existence is man-made or misleading. There is a price to pay for every sin. You can't die after telling a lie for example and go to heaven. There's a price to pay for your imperfections and that's where purgatory comes in, your life might be holy before that lie. And for that reason you are saved but needs to be cleansed before meeting the Father. I hope 1 Corinthians 3: 13 - 15 and Hebrew 12: 22 - 23 and throw more light on this for you? Sending you more 🤍 God Bless You 🙏

Pharisees always looked specific verses to refute Jesus Christ and Protestants are doing exactly same thing. History always repeats itself. Btw, when you blasphemy against Catholic Church you are committing a very dangerous sin. Jesus Christ is head of Catholic Church and his spirit is alive in the Church.

Mary and the angels and the saints are there to bring you closer to God. ::And Jesus answered him, “It is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.’” If Mary or the saints or the angels are going to become a stumbling block for your faith in God, ditch them! that simple. Go to mass, for there, God Himself is present in the flesh, everything else is just commentary. but your worship of God is insufficient if you cannot show your love of God toward others as Jesus has asked everyone to love in return.

@@po18guy this is the difference between judaism and catholicism. while the temple sacrifice has ended for the jews, the perfected and perpetual sacrifice demanded by God has carried on unceasingly in the Catholic Church. the incense, bread and wine sacrifices and the tamid sacrifices are offered perfectly by the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, everyday. “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah", however the daily offering of the unblemished lamb, bread, wine, and incense have continued uninterrupted throughout the world in the Catholic Church in the perfect sacrifice of calvary, the body and blood of Christ, the holy Eucharist in the mass.

In fact 1 Tim. 2:5-6 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”1 Now let’s take a look at what St. Paul wrote in the preceding four verses: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” (1 Tim. 2:1) St. Paul is telling Timothy and all disciples of Jesus Christ that they are supposed to offer supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanks on behalf of all men. In short, Paul says Christians are to play a mediating role. Next verse, picks up after “for all men”: “For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1 Tim. 2:2) St. Paul is making clear, not only are we to make prayers of intercession, supplication, etc. on behalf of all mankind, but even those in authority over us, such as kings! Why does St. Paul exhort Timothy and all Christisns to play this mediating role? Verse 3: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.” (1 Tim. 2:3) Who is “God our Saviour”? Jesus Christ, of course. Paul is saying quite explicitly that the mediation he is exhorting us to make “is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,” in the sight of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So now we get to verse 4, which tells us why Jesus Christ would desire this from us: “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”(1 Tim. 2:4) The reason we ought to make these various prayers of mediation is because Jesus Christ desires, “all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” And now we come to verse 5, not cherry-picked out of context but within the context of St. Paul’s first letter to Timothy, chapter 2, verses 1-6: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Tim. 2:5-6) In short, 1 Tim. 2:1-6 instructs all Christians to mediate on behalf of all mankind through different types of prayer, which are offered through the one mediator Jesus Christ. And in order to assuage any doubt about this, St. Paul adds: “Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” (1 Tim. 2:7-8)

While the first part of the Hail Mary is almost a direct quotation from Luke 1:28, there is no scriptural basis for: 1. praying to Mary 2. addressing her as “holy,” or 3. calling her “our life” and “our hope.” Praying the rosary involves giving attributes to Mary that the Bible never gives her. To call Mary “holy”-the Catholic Church teaches that Mary never sinned or had any taint of original sin-is not biblical. The Bible calls all believers “saints,” which can be interpreted as “holy ones,” but Scripture says that the righteousness believers have is the imputed righteousness from Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). In this life, no one is yet sanctified from sin in practice (1 John 1:9-2:1). Jesus is called our Savior repeatedly in Scripture because He saved us from our sin. In Luke 1:47, Mary calls God her “Savior.” Savior from what? A sinless person does not need a Savior. Sinners need a Savior. Mary acknowledged that God was her Savior. Therefore, Mary acknowledged that she was a sinner. But praying the rosary has an even more basic problem, namely, that much of the prayer is directed to Mary, not to God. We are *never told* in the Bible whether anyone else in heaven can even hear us. *God alone* is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present. There is never a single example of someone praying to any “saint” or angel or anyone else (besides prayers to false gods). A person praying the rosary spends more time calling out to Mary than to God. For every one praise of God in the rosary, there are ten praises of Mary. Praying the rosary also assigns a task to Mary that the Bible never assigns her. Jesus is our Redeemer (Galatians 3:13; 4:4-5; Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 5:9), our heavenly Advocate (1 John 2:1), and our one and only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). The “Hail, Holy Queen” portion of the rosary prayer calls Mary our “most gracious advocate.” This is a direct contradiction of the clear biblical teaching that only Jesus is our go-between (1 Timothy 2:5-6). Praying the rosary requires Catholics to call upon Mary as the “holy Queen.” The only time in Scripture that the title “Queen of Heaven” is found, the term is used in a negative way (Jeremiah 7:17-19; 44:16-27). The Bible never pictures Mary as a queen; rather, she calls herself “the Lord’s servant” (Luke 1:38). She is never given a crown or authority over heaven and earth. Likewise, is it appropriate, while praying the rosary, to call Mary our “life” and “hope”? Again, these are terms that are used of God alone in Scripture (John 1:1-14; Colossians 3:4; 1 Timothy 1:1; Ephesians 2:12; Titus 2:13). The practice of saying the rosary runs contrary to Scripture in a number of ways. Only God can hear our prayers. Only God can answer our prayers. We have one intermediary (Jesus), and it is in His name we pray, not Mary’s. -GotQustions.com 🎚️
