Is the RSI Arrastra WORTH A BUY? HELL YES!

I have a Mole, and I see the Arrastra completly out classing the Mole. I should of CCU the mole to Arrastra ,but I dicided to just pick up the warbond for $525 instead. I might gift the Mole to a family member once the Arrastra is in game. Or CCU it for a ship next IAE. I don't like melting for store credit because non warbond ships dont get LTI.

if im not mistaken the Orion's 384 concept storage is not SCU as the concept was concept before SCUs were implemented

The 384 SCU for the Orion is the internal cargo storage, not the ore storage. The ore storage is listed somewhere around 16,000 SCU. That is before the Orion doubled in size a few years ago as well.

Melted my prospector and upgraded my Mole w/ LTI to Arrastra. Got the Mole and Prospector back as loaners. No brainer to me. If it sucks, I will melt it and get the Mole and Prospector back.

Im unsure of why the miners are so pricey too, on top of this thing not even being close to release. I think the mole and arrastra need a -$100 price drop to compete with the other industrial ships, why would i spend 575 on this when the orion is 650? And bigger and just as far from being in game, vs a Reclaimer which IS in game AND has a gameplay loop AND it the same~ish size? The Mole and Arrastra are both kinda meh atm and overpriced for what they offer. Jusr save up ane buy a prospector in game and go at it tbh.

I ccu'd my LTI Mole and melted my Expanse to get the Arrastra. For the crew investment and better protection it makes sense.

Melted Prospector and Expanse to pick up Arrastra. It provides the benefits of all the current in game mining ships with on board refining and ability to do both planetary and space based operations makes the most sense for me. In the meantime we get the prospecotr and Mole as loaners so no real loss.

Replaced my mole pretty much right away and got a mole and a prospector in the exchange :) Still... what they REALLY need to figure out is crew bedlogging..

I grabbed a ccu with store credit from the 600i just incase the rework does not meet expectations, and I have an overlap of explorer type ships since I have the Zeus ES and The Galaxy with the Modules.

I can see this would be an amazing ship, definitely better than the mole. After 10 years of being a backer, I am getting a bit of concept fatigue but who knows, maybe I'll wait for IAE 2024. Keep up the great work Erad.

I think it will be great with a refinery onboard. Can't wait to see it do some long term mining operations. Personally, I won't be pledging one though.

I've hit the point I have abandoned my Prospector, the changes recently just burned me out of the prospector, only because it's not more difficult, but because it's literally impossible for me to crack some rocks that I really REALLY want to crack. This ship and the mole pretty much put the pin into the idea that I can't be focusing on solo mining anymore.

You have to keep in mind what the game will be when it's done. They are making the ships with the idea that they will be purchased in game. The Mole in game will no doubt be cheaper than the Arrastra, and needs one less crew member. None of the ships make the other ships "obsolete". Choice in ship will come down to personal taste and most likely price.

Its things like this why the gray market makes money. I do understand cig needs to make there mone but its a little to much . But glad the hype didnt get me this year . But regaurdless . Im still happy for those that did get it. Life is short have fun but be responsible what you can an can not spend.

the orion has over 300scu internal cargo comparged to the arrastra 64 ... the 512 is for the ore and the orion is supposed to be between 13-16kscu for that in case u didnt know abit missleading to say it has less cargo than an orion which is not true

You say the Arrastra was present among the lineup of "mystery ship" silhouettes shown during Citizen Con. I checked but did not see it. Which one do you think it is?

I nearly brought a Pioneer, yet its totally impractical for the average backer, the Astra is possible for most, and keeps everything in a more normalized space. Great aesthetics and paints, will make a decent habitat.

@@derLenus CCU, by which you mean, to have a long string of ships on that you one day hope to acquire, which puts you on an endless path of continually spending real cash. To only ever own an LTI Token,. To loose all those savings if melted. To never have a ship go into buyback, but lost. To lock away all that Instore Credit. To end up with a stagnant fleet. And to realize along the way as CIG release new content, ships and gameplay you are going to have to melt. That CCU game, because there is no other?

Star Citizen future isn't written in stone, it being added to, changed, gameplay fleshed out, new ships and ship crew being expanded upon to accommodate new careers/duties. But hey John D. So I completely disagree that the Arrastra is "worth the purchase of $575" or that anyone "Should absolutely upgrade their MOLE to an Arrastra" those are absolutely silly statements. For $575 you could upgrade your PC. You could buy 9 other fully priced AAA games and even more if they are on sale. The idea that the Arrastra has some sort of meaningful and significant value that is worth $575 is non-sense. It's not worth that much and we in the star citizen community should stop making such ridiculous statements because they are exactly why gamers outside of the star citizen community think Star Citizen is a scam and we are all just a bunch of crypto bros. We need to stop treating ships as purchases and start treating them as the thing they actually are. Which is a thank you present from CIG for donating/gambling the money that allows them to make the game they want to. I totally agree that the ship is super cool. I agree that this ship will be great. I agree that it will absolutely print mountains of money once we get it in-game. However despite having one sitting in my hanger I do not agree with the messaging that claims any of the ships in Star Citizen are "worth it" or that people should spend $575 on any video game. The only thing that is arguably worth it is the base game package preferably one that include Squadron 42 and the PU and even that is a bit on on the fence in my opinion as someone who would generally recommend that people avoid pre-orders.

Hey I saw your comment on SalteMike's reaction channel .Thanks for taking the time to come over and comment here directly. I genuinly love the Arrastra and I think it will replace the Orion in its original role. Given the price of the Mole and its capabilities, I believe that the Arrastra, being immensely superior in capabilities and capacity is worth the price, and that the Orion will get closer to 1000$. I'm also a little sad Mike only comments on my least interesting videos haha I swear there is much better content on the channel. Feel free to check out the catalogue, especially the re-creation of Star Wars in Star Citizen, or the recent gameplay video about the MPUV, it's much better :) Thanks again for coming over.

This ship is huge, but I suspect most of it is taken up with storage. I managed to get one cheaper than the cost of a Mole, thanks to the recent price rises, and the loaner is a Mole, so I'm good.

Buy a ccu from.the valk to the galaxy for $5 and sit on it until the gal gets close to flyable then ccu the gal to the arrasta

Yes if you are rly into mining, no - as its 575$ - just buy it in game once its there, or make it an org ship to grind it faster.

Thinking about this but not sure about trading my Carrack for it. I have a token ship with LTI but not sure about melting Carrack for the credits and then using the LTI token ship for the insurance...

Dude, you should do it, carrack is no longer special, it can't help you earn more UEC, unless you like the art in & outside. The Arra Arra is just an all around ship with mining function

Worth the buy for an org yes. Not worth the buy without being popular. Big ships that carry your solo ship are worth the buy for long distance travel.

I mean that's debatable, the BMM is still not in game and doesn't even appear to be in the pipeline and the Hull C, while in game now fulfils no actual purpose yet. Yes you would have "saved" money buying it in concept vs buying them now, but they're not worth a buy now either really.@@Erad_Prime

I've spent around $200 on Star Citizen which I already consider a lot. Probably too much and certainly more than I normally spend on videogames with much more content. $250 to CCU chain up to something bigger still means you're spending many hundreds of dollars. I mean money means different things to different people but I find it hard to agree that such expenditure is ever really "worth it" in any general sense.@@Kyle-sr6jm

The Galaxy would be a great example of not wanting a concept because it's not worth it, important cavoite in my situation. I don't need a cargo ship already have one, same with medical, base building, refinery ect. I had my fleet mostly complete by when the galaxy was released.
