You missed one of the best part of the sd cards. You can take card from the m25 and put into the m18/ R43 Pro and m19 as well. I know they didn't have dreamcast enabled by default on the m18/ R43 Pro but it is actually usable now on all of the handhelds by sjgam on the m18 and m19 along with finally gett8ing NDS going and again you can back port it the older devices as well. I'm also very glad the software keeps getting better as they keep releasing these devices as well. They gave us the m19 which took many of the changes made to the m18 config files, and then on the m25 they gave us drastic. I don't know if they will ever unlock the menu's as I think they want the device to be pickup and play. While I know many will scoff at the device simple for this it's hard to deny that the device is usable out of the box. They do need to include a basic ad card for these or make a place to download the sd card image for both the m19 and m25 for those that buy the ones with no sd card as it will take you the testing image on the emmc. Do you know if you can use controllers with the m25 for when you hook it up to a tv? As always thank you for the review.

as of right now I cannot see how to make controllers work since the software gives no access to bluetooth and there is no OTG. However I am going to try to load some CFW for the M18 and see what I can find out! Thanks Deadhead!

yes that one likely has a terrible cpu and no ability to add roms etc.

It has a TF/SD card slot, but only has an ATM7051 chip. From what I understand is that it can struggle with PS1 games. @OGTechNick, Wicked, and Creative4Gaming did videos on it. Looks like this one you checked out is better in more than one way.

My condolences. I picked up one of these and the L2 and R2 buttons get stuck all the time so I took it apart and put a strip of hard foam used for shipping through hole chips on the top section so it acted as a pivot point and they actually feel really good now. The screen is somewhat loose on the bottom and could probably be pulled out. It also took quite a bit to add or change the roms on the card, but I did succeed in making a backup of the 64GB card and then cloned it to a 128GB card and expanded the partition in Ubuntu I ran from a USB stick on my laptop. This also Allowed me to delete the trash it came with and add my own roms and it is ok. Would be nice if We could change the config of anything, but until someone comes up with custom firmware I don't see that happening. I even tried editing the available config files to give a bit better experience, but that was a no go. The way it is configured, I cannot run Gran Turismo 2, but Gran Turismo 1 works great, but the button mapping for it is wrong and you have to compensate by customizing controls in the game itself. In PS1 games, the analog sticks only works as a digital input as well. Also the Aspect ratio for Gameboy and Gameboy color is wrong as you can only choose 16:9 or 4:3.

In neogeo, is it possible to enter bios menu or the cheat menu by pressing select + start? Region and Console menu press ABC Dipswitch is BCD if I am not mistaken (press these buttons together as soon as you see the bios version at the start).

I'm not normally into those handhelds that very slavishly copy a name brand handheld; but, I'll make an exception for this. It looks super comfy and, well, I'm struggling to remember the last time I saw a real Portal... Question: In the video during the SNES section you mentioned that the sticks are fake analogs. Or at least that's how I understood it. Is it that way with every system? Some PS1 racers (Gran Turismo, TOCA World Touring Cars, et al) allowed you to map steering to the left stick and gas/brake to the right stick for full analog inputs. How would that work with this handheld? Thanks for another interesting review. I'm sorry for your loss.

Let me try that out and see it's just in the past some of these have been hardwired into digital basically they put sticks on there but they're actually just hardwired into the digital d-pad underneath so I haven't opened this one up yet but once I do I'll come back and let you know

My condolences. I purchased this from Ali without the game card (figured I’d add my own roms) and unfortunately it was unusable as it did not include any firmware. Ali gave me a full refund so I’ll probably reorder it with the game card (since by default it also includes the firmware). Thanks for the review.
