Is The “SLIPPY PENGUIN” Worth 10,000 Coins? 🐧

After creating this video, I tried playing the Slippy Penguin game mode on mobile… kzbin.infoxHFeap0nCFk …Using my iPhone SE (Second Generation) I was able to get a new personal best score of 301. The portrait orientation and the swipe gestures made it easier to control the game. Here are some other tips that might help you… 1 - Slippy Penguin can change directions. This allows you to make quick adjustments, which might help you to avoid disaster or get in a better position to make an upcoming turn. 2 - Even though the game constantly increases in speed, the eagle is on this level. If you go too far backwards or not advance forward quickly enough, the game is over. 3 - There seems to be significant leeway in what counts as sliding over a tile. Slippy can hang fairly far over the edge and not fall into the water. 4 - Make wide turns if possible. The map is random, but often there's a choice in the path. It could be a sharp turn or a more roundabout turn. Going with that longer way around could create a better chance to react.

i already bought the beaver and every so often when theres new content i play for a while and maybe make some more coins, i am very close to unlocking the penguin tho.(and there was a "try out" button at some point with it and i somewhat enjoyed it) But in all fairness, i did like the exact words you used: "But if you don't, the game will remind you of your failure in two distinct locations…" - that is exactly how i feel both about the penguin but more importantly THE CAR and the long neck ones. I do get it that they want real money, but giving people the choice to pay 10000 coins is honestly not a nice move... SO MUCH TIME for a gamemode! At least the long neck ones you could've get when released but not same with the car. I really feel robbed when i pay 10k coins for the characters. Once they put it to discound from 2$ to 1$, they should also make it from 10k coins to 5k, no?

I have 389,251 coins & 375/375 characters. It seems like new characters only require about 1,500 coins to open, so 10,000 is nothing, once you know how to play the game. Thanks for the new video. I hope one day soon you will have videos for every character, so no one will have to stray from Photos TV to "finish" Crossy Road.

Slippy penguin is not that difficult, well it is but once you get the hang of it its super fun, especialy when you get to like 1000 highscore, on your phone slippy penguin is more resposive and easier to control

I've been working on the video for the “Dragon Rider” character, which is possibly the most difficult character to unlock in the whole game. That's because the “Snow King” is required first. He's a token character, which is why the video has been challenging to create.

Unlike the bashy beaver, the slippy penguin is actually available in the prize machine, which is the way I unlocked it.

Did you get it years ago? The message in the game says, _“Slip & Slide game mode! Not available from the prize machine”_ and that message is shown in the video.

I play less on Slippy Penguin, but The Polar Bear, and the China Doll should have make a normal crossing game instead & not short or bonus game type ya! They are de best for crossing 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think of those four game modes, I had the most fun with the New Year's Doll… kzbin.info/www/bejne/rovHgniXmK9gmKM …but I like the Ad Buster / Ad Fisher game mode more. Crossy Road & Crossy Road Castle needs power-ups. At least those two can clear the area.😄

Guess what?! I just bought the Bashy Beaver for 10,000 coins and say, it is hard yet it does have a lot of coins so I can get all my coins back fast, so I think it was a good purchase… Yet, the Slippery Penguin is really hard, and not that fun as the Bashy Beaver

I think the Bashy Beaver is better for collecting coins, web compared to the Slippy Penguin, but you have to be really skilled to do well with the Bashy Beaver. I still prefer the Cheerleader with coin farming. She's somewhat faster at that role and it's way easier!

@@PhoticsTV I just prefer the Bashy a beaver because I always make it around 100 and up if steps so I grind about 30-or more coins per round! I am not sure if i am skilled using the beaver but whatever

By itself, the Slippy Penguin feels underwhelming. But as part of the Crossy Road family of characters, it's nice having a character that is different from the Prize Machine characters. Once all of the Crossy Road Characters are unlocked, there's nothing else to do with the coins. 🤷🏻‍♂️
