@angelof_death4462 hardly say that the other 2 are able to recover at low speed near the ground but the 33 is too heavy and just goes down the only thing better about it is its nose authority because of those canards... once the Su-30SM Flanker-H is in we will see all kinds of nose authority and recoverability with those beefy engines with thrust vectoring I can't wait for thrust vector because of the Kulbit manuver

Firstly, the things sexy af, Canard flanker makes even uwu weeaboo's hands drop to their pants, and secondly, most importantly, people can access this for free (given a large amount of time). If Gaijin wanted to introduce a squadron jet for the USSR and specifically chose this jet, it would have made much more sense to add the Su-33 as a tech tree aircraft while designating the Su-27K or the T-10K (the pre-production naval Flanker, developed before the fall of the USSR) as the squadron jet.

Su-33M is a two-phase upgrade to provide the SVP-24 bombing system and a new MFD cockpit and then a new radar (No-001K = No-11, roughly) and PGMs. Assuming the Kuznetsov ever comes out of refit after the last, massive, fire; the Su-33M is intended to give the MiG-29K multirole jets an upgraded escort/bomb truck companion capability from the residual ~20 Su-33 still in existence. It should be known that, from the beginning, the Su-33 has had the pylons and wiring to handle the Kh-31A and P. As well as the R-27EM and EP. That's Energetskaya Morska (longrange naval) and Energetskaya Passivniy or long range AA-ARM. No, I won't apologize for my Russian, it's a difficult language to speak or spell, correctly. Depending on which reference you read, EM is actually the EA with special seeker algorithms to reject wave clutter and track small targets (Harpoon and Tomahawk B) over water. Even if it's SARH, it should have superior performance against jamming and LDSD, allowing longer-range shots. It is the Passive version which is interesting however because it essentially would require every fighter to go to intermittent radar use or suffer a potential scenario where the missile homes on their own APG/APQ radar emissions. This would force the early Husky handoff of active missiles so that they went to Hi PRF search rather than Medium PRF tracking with a consequential loss in SSPK. For shits and giggles, I would also include the giant Kh-41 Moskit and the Kh-35 Uran. With basic variant ranges of 70nm and 90nm respectively, these systems should be part of the naval side anyway as enhanced armament for the Osa/Tarantul/Nanuchka class FAC-M and the Bal coastal defense battery. Kh-41 has a hi-lo composite range of 155nm, but of course needs a naval-mission target set (imagine hitting an ARG amphibious anchorage or an underway CSG...) while the baseline Kh-35V is 70nm capable and the Kh-35U variant has a range of 130nm while also having an INS/GNSS midcourse navigator and thus being capable of land-attack on point targets within 10-20m. The long range R-27 Active/Passive missiles, along with the land attack option of the Kh-35U, programmable, like a powered JDAM, via the SVP-24 MFD digital map coordinates, would provide the Su-33 sufficient targeting flexibility to be a genuine 13.0 jet. Alternately, if operating from land bases (it is weight limited on the Kuznetsov...) you could also add the UPAZ-1 buddy refueling pod on the centerline and a couple PTB-3000 wing tanks as a fighter whale. While this might be better off if automated/AI, it would allow players to have a much closer-in alternative to flying back to base and provide a little bit of randomness in terms of low-level refueling track hunting (jet orbits SAM site/vehicle). Meaning, if they took off with limited fuel to maximize ordnance and/or performance capabilities and then discovered they had more shots than they had gas to continue flying, they could choose to plug a tanker instead of RTBing. It's not always the airframe which counts. Sometimes it's the missiles and new game play modes they introduce.

Do you have any sources on the Su-33 using anti-ship missiles? The consensus on the internet is that the plane never used them and those missiles were removed from the Su-33 in DCS. There was a Su-33 display at an airshow with those missiles on it, but that was a mock-up trying to sell the upgrade. Is it that the Su-33 could technically carry anti-ship missiles but just never actually used that feature? I also believe there is a compatibility issue with the radar, but I don't know the details.

Well it wont get dragged into 14.0 or 13.7 constantly because both are immensely popular BRs, and 13.7 will be used to fill gaps in 14.0 and there are a metric SHIT-TON of 13.0s. Infact i'll list them all F-15A + 2 variants , Su-27S + 2 variants (including su-33), F-14B, AV-8B + Exports, F-4F KWS LV, MiG-29G, Sea Harrier FA.2, J-8F, Belgian F-16A, Mirage 4k, JAS-39A, Ja-37DI + Prem Vs the amount of 13.3s there are Tornado F.3 Late, MiG-29SMT, Su-34. Yeah, thats it. TL:DR 13.7 will become its own br and be used to fill gaps in 14.0 games, although there should be enough to fill gaps AND have only 13.7s. Almost nobody plays 13.3 so any uptiers will be from 13.0, but the sheer amount of 13.0's there are now should offset the amount of uptiers the Su-33 recieves as anyone playing 13.3s will be priorities in uptiering Either that or i'm talking out my fucking ass

I have to disagree with the assessment of this one. Having a flanker at 13.0 *with* a modern RWR is a huge advantage to its situational awareness and it’ll be faaaaar more usable in sim battles than the Su27 ever was. Yes, the Su27SM is still better with its r77’s but if you miss the days of fox1’s but like the more modern airframes and performance, this is a great choice.

Sure, you can't tell exactly what's locking you up, but the fact that you don't have blindspots above and below you helps you know for sure whether you defeated a missile or not, even if it's no longer burning and you can't see it.
