Thanks for this video, very enjoyable. I got a 2024 model at the beginning of March and so far have been really impressed with it. I came to the SV from a 2023 GSX1000S, awesome bike, and still own a GSXR750 and I can honestly say that the SV has greatly exceeded my expectations. I can see me keeping the SV for a long time. I agree to it being a very good beginner bike but also highly rewarding for more experienced riders, I’ve been riding on the road for over 30 years, have owned dozens of bikes and in my humble opinion the SV is one of the best overall real world bikes I’ve ever ridden. Ride safe.

Thanks for watching! They are really good all round bikes, I've ridden a few more bikes since making this video, but I still always gravitate back to the sv650, it's just a great, fun bike!

Why did you stop riding the gsxs1000? Seems superior on the spec sheet in every way?
@YogiMoto10828 күн бұрын
@@SludgedB because I still have, and really like my GSXR750, and the 1000 is too similar a machine. I wanted a bike that was more suited to commuting and just enjoying road riding. The 1000 is an amazing bike but on the roads around where I live I seriously doubt that I could get from A to B any faster on the 1000 than I can on the SV, add in that combined running expenses are far lower on the SV as well.

A little bit dirty? Get cleaning lad😉 Always been a fan of the SV650, I do prefer the older second generation to the current look but the bike itself is still an exceptional performer. Perfect for commuting or a weekend jolly 😎 I'm very jealous of your fuel economy😄 Not a bad 0-60 time by any stretch of the imagination. I think these bikes are perfect many for those who have just gotten on the A2 license or just fancy a reliable solid midweight naked bike. I'm glad to see you get on with the bike so well, and that you would recommend it to newer riders. Great review fella, very well spoken. Happy New Year mate.

Hahaha, yea she's a dirty gal! I do really think it's a great bike to jump straight on, its just the right balance of everything you need first starting. New helmet made the wind a little bit of an obstacle, although I think I've found a work around for the next video! Cheers for watching, happy new year matey!

Nice review. Recently got my full license and considering one of these as a first bike. On my lessons i rode a 99 Fazer and a 09 CBF600 and since had a go of a 2004 SV650 and it felt lighter certwinly than the Honda. Loved the grunty nature and character of the engine. It looks like the current SV is around 25kg ish heavier than the old ones though.

watching you scoot around the parking lot, i hate you as i have gained 45 pounds since injury and not happy. drinking has been the only release from back injury and relief from pain for the last year. sad, medical does not pay for the drink. and narcotics are not my relief. i hope to see you loosing the pounds and returning in 2024 this year. thank you for encouragement.
