Little trick for the 0-60 is to (turn off all the bleeps first) HOLD down the traction control for 5 secs. Dash will say expert mode, then 70-30 rear bias and like all 4WD blip first at 3k to kick it of, find second and onward. This car isnt about straight line rips though and im glad you acknowledged that, its ability is to just glide through twisties.

I prefer the stock look personally! Lusted after one- but ended up getting an Audi S1. Now fully worked with ~430hp on 99, proper suspension & brakes. Day to day it’s hugely usable & fun! Still love GR’s- so well sorted out of the box

Fantastic cars. Makes me laugh when people call them 😂. GR Yaris looks Fantastic and in my opinion the Yaris ( New Generation) in general is the best looking small car. Anyone calling the Yaris has literally no idea about cars and actually still believe in the myth of German engineering haha 😂. . 37 years I've been working on cars, Toyota still build the most mass produced reliable cars globally.

Great video boys. You need to put it in “expert mode” to launch it properly. I got 4.9 in stock trim. As for daily drivable.. my Mrs chooses to take the Yaris over her 5 series on average 2/3 days a week and she doesn’t like manual cars 🤷🏻‍♂️drop the back seats they’re a great van too😂

I love 3 cylinder engines I have a 1.0 TSI with 110hp and it’s so fun now imagine a 1.6 cylinder almost making 300hp that is amazing 😭

Yean I have a remapped up gti with about 140bhp, absolutely love it. I test drove a GR and am about to get one as a weekend car, only other car I would have over it is a a110. Class review lads!

The auto blip works great most of the time, apart from dropping from 3rd to 2nd, it’s not fast enough and almost have to wait for the rev reaching to right spot.

@Birmingham_racing fortunately, Kenny has owned an Evo 7 & a classic STi so we are familiar with both. Handling wise, the GR does feel like a modern version of the Evo & STi, in the sense of the grip and "throwability" of them lol But I felt more confident that the GR was not going to break if we ragged it too hard lol - Drew

I owned a WRX STI 340R for 5 yrs and now have a GRY. Very similar drive, but the GR is more chuckleable cos it's smaller and both are great cars.

On my local used car market the GR Yaris cost around the same as BMW M2's from 2017-2018 with around 25-40k kilometres in them looking brand new and some of the listings are even "very" close to older Porsche 911s price wise so I would pick something else. This is like rich mans pocket rocket or idk. A bit overhyped in my opinion. I love it but I wouldn't pay that much for a riced out Yaris

They’re a great lil car but they are not as fast as people make out my mate had one so I got a 20yr old clio 172 to build a track car. We took the cars for a rip through the country to caffeine and machine and changed driver 3 times ( me him and another pal ) each time none of us could really get away from the stock clio. He sold it a week later and got a new m3

@@ElleyElley-et4ky I mentioned the aftermarket gearknob just because I love and I am a huge fan of Toyota Yaris GR, I discover it five years ago when Seb Ogier start to drive it in WRC. Daily I wear a GR WRT cap, with Seb name, flag and signature on it. GR deserve to remain OEM, is an iconic brand!

Yes it’s awful, as are wheels and spoiler. But each to his own. Mine is stock but that’s personal choice. Fantastic car still makes me smile 3 years later.

Yea mine is stock too, been enjoying it since 22, and it won’t be box stock in a month time. Nothing crazy, just deleting the redundant rear seats, strut bars to front and rear, cooling under tray and gen2 intake duct, want to make it a wee bit more focused.
