Years of alcoholism was slowly ruining my life. My marriage, my health, my finances. Every aspect was not left untouched by my decisions to continue this lifestyle. No matter how hard i tried, or how much i wanted to stop, i couldn't. Finally at the bottom, with what seemed to be an impossible situation, I turned to God. I cried out to God with broken and repentant heart. As i made up my mind to yield my will to God, God filled me with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the Bible describes in the book of Acts. My life forever changed at that moment. Its been five years. God has been good to me.

Lazlo Lorintz Oh I’m careful alright.. I’m very careful to humble myself often, and get in touch with the a Spirit of God, and when I do, I speak in tongues just like the first time. And I walk away renewed with the power to overcome this world. Paul said that he speaks in tongues more than all those tongue talkers in the Corinthian congregation . And he also said “forbid NOT “ people to speak in tongues... I’m not talking about learned babble, or tongue twisters... Oh yes, for every real thing of God , there seems to be a counterfeit put forth by Satan...... I’ve got the real Holy Ghost.. And it is evidenced by speaking in a language that was not previously known to me...

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

I too loved this point! I do get a little hung up with the places in the Bible that tell us to ask of God in full faith that God will deliver, and not to waiver in faith. I’m not sure if we should pray in a way that glorifies God for answering our prayer because he is almighty, or to not pray for things directly but instead to differ all judgement to God. I’m not sure if that made sense! Ha

I was taught by my grandma that we say AmaYaha meant God or Creator in our language. Pretty trippy the similarities between the original Hebrews and Amerindians . Some chiefs were found buried with the 10 commandments in paleohebrew. Not all tribes were pagan but some did have those things they practiced in fact some tribes were also so-called black. They don’t talk about it in history though but the explorers came with Hebrew translators 🤔 definitely food for thought. Just because you practice the religion of the Hebrews does not make you one and I know many Jews are merely converts..but I was also told how we gave our blessing over to the weeping white man. Lol 😂

One thing that I always think about is the fact that trees rarely die of old age, except they are cut down or bow to the exposures they face. They tend to live a long long time some for thousands of years. I wonder if that is reflective or an indication of the length of life that man was to live.

12:51 ... For anyone else wondering about the fig leaves, here's the significance: After Adam and Eve sinned, they hid from God and made a covering for themselves out of fig leaves. However, this covering they made for themselves was insufficient. After God encountered them and confronted them about what they had done, He removed them from the garden and provided a new covering for them, a covering of ANIMAL skin. which means, because of their SIN, God killed an animal to provide a covering for them. this is the first sacrifice in the bible. without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sin. @Brazilian Goddess it's because Jesus was fully man and fully God. He was the only sinless human being because he was God the creator in flesh. And since humans are evil wretches in the heart and soul. We need a savior to ever see heaven. Because God is so Holy. Through accepting Jesus as our Lord a d savior God supernaturally puts His spirit in you and you are forgiven sins and you become eternally joyful and full of inner peace. This is all because of what Jesus did for us humans. Our current world is fallen and cursed from the garden so we need a savior and His death was symbolize the wrath of God because of sin. So we humans who accept Him into our hearts will be sealed and saved from Gods wrath up on the earth in the end of this age. It's not hard to understand you just need change of perspective that Jesus is saving us from evil and hell. It's His gift to you!! You just need to receive it and believe trust and have faith in God.

To keep fear of the Lord is to keep fear of the Lord in your hearts. Take his words with the utmost importance and think of him as not a joke but your father and creator. I'm going based on my own whim here, but the way they describe "fear" in the bible to me isn't, "Elohim, the all might warlord who conquers worlds, fear him and obey him or he will kill you", it's more like how you would have fear of your parents or boss. Think of his scolding before you do something bad or something you're not supposed to do, or something wrong. Don't fear him because he's going to rape, kill and pillage. Fear him because you love him, and respects him like you would your parent or boss. The advice he gives you is advice that's going to benefit you and help you out. Not the other way around. A warm, guiding sort of fear basically.

“...his leaves shall not wither and everything that he does shall prosper”. Adam and Eve, disconnected from the source (a tree planted by living waters) and covered in picked leaves, trying to camouflage their shame, would have been exposed (you shall know a tree by its fruit) as the their rapidly withering leaves exposed the lack of connection to life/source. ‘I am the vine...apart from me...you can do nothing’. It seems as though connection or being of Him is key to the BEING and capacity to bring forth what is “of God”.

He has a great lecture on the whole book of Genesis, one if not the best I have heard. If you like science that goes with the bible it is a must it shows what the Creator God made.

You guys made my day with this video....I currently serve in our healing rooms. And the 1st night we were praying out for each other... Something so beautiful happened...I saw a tree full of Life, green leaves and then I saw a mighty (big) hand pick up this tree as soon as this hand touches the trunk of this Tree...The leaves caught fire and the leaves never burned...The hand picks up this tree and I saw the profile of God as a man blowing on this tree and the leaves are blown off the tree like a beautiful dandelion, and every leaf on fire land on this field of dead wood twisted and old and distorted. And this clean and perfect land is uncovered from below as the area is cleared off. And then I'm back in our prayer circle. It was so amazing I associated with the Holy Spirit doing something special with the group of people in this prayer circle. People were getting healed, they usually do. 🙌🏼 Thank you for this podcast, just encouraged me to look further into all the Tree references in the scriptures.

Adam and Eve covering themselves with fig leaves because of their shame is a picture of thinking we can cover our sin with our own works when really we need the lamb of Gods blood, hence why God replaces Adam & Eves fig leaves with the skin of an animal God kills for them. The serpent depicts the god Enki or Ea ....... he gives the Adama the knowledge (DNA) which makes him almost as intelligent as the Anunnaki. When the god Enlil also known as (YHWH) finds out he decides he will destroy mankind with the predicted flood. This story id found on the stone tablet called Atrahasis (London Museum). So whoever wrote Genesis, had no intention of telling future generations about our beginnings or the fact that there were 'gods'.....Elohim (plural) on the earth at the time. And God said let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness ....... what more do you want. If you listen to all these people harping on about the Bible in the literal sense you are totally missing the big picture. When you go outside and start reading and researching all will become clear. The church is simply writing it's own narrative to get between you and the true CREATOR. ....... and I don't mean God. Hope this helps.

I like that observation about the blind man seeing men as trees. Notice that his comment was made after Jesus’ first touch. Jesus touched the blind man a second time, and the blind man saw more perfectly. This says to me that we appear to have no branches and no leaves on us to the natural person. But to the regenerated person, we who walk with Jesus have branches and leaves. Jesus said, I’m am the vine, you are the branches. Branches bear the fruit. Jesus is looking for some fruit on us. In Galatians 5, we learn what is the fruit of the Spirit. In Revelation, we learn that leaves are for the healing of the nations. Jesus touch on us makes all the difference in how and what we see. One touch is just the beginning to new life in Christ Jesus.

Recently at a Bible study this was discussed. My pastors view of this was quite interesting. I am going to try and compress it without ruining it. It went something like this. When Jesus touched the blind man he was so healed that he began to see as Jesus did. Seeing us as tress (many biblical references could be inserted here). So he touched him again to restore him to an earthly human level of seeing. Jesus doesn't need to do things twice because the first time wasn't good enough. But He may need to turn the power down a notch lol. I found it sat well with my spirit and could be backed up with scripture.

In regard to the portion on the scholar that wrote about Adam and Eve covering themselves with leaves, dressing up like the idol they just sinned over. Another awesome aspect of this story is that Gods next move was to cover them in the skins of animals, showing them that their future covering(Christ) would come from the shedding of innocent blood. The Bible is so multilayered, and true is so many ways from so many different angles.

The picture in my head as you talked about becoming like trees and then shifted gears to kind of poke holes in that, but really ended up just clarifying it- picture in my head was actually vines. I once had the opportunity to do a teaching on John 15. My husband built for me the framework and trunks of a vineyard row. He basically used tree limbs of appropriate sizes for the trunks and built a framework that would keep them upright and have the guide wires for the trailer Vines. Then I dressed it all up with fake grapevine, inserting little sprigs of leaves and clusters of grapes that I would use as examples of pruning at different times of the seasons. It looked very good, it actually looked very realistic between the work that the two of us did on it. However, none of it was real, none of it had life, none of it would actually be beneficial to someone seeking grapes to eat or to press out the juice. Obviously it was a great visually for teaching - but it wasn't going anywhere in the real day today world. We are to be that living line growing from the trunk- more specifically - a branch of the true grapevine, but you get my point. As an image of God for to be the real deal, not the fake one that's all dressed up and fake leaves or dead leaves and looks good until more closely inspected! Wow! I paused the video made that comment, came back to it and here you are over into Vines! And the Hebrew word that I did not know that covers both trees and Vines in the general sense of the word - kind of makes it appropriate that we made our vine trunks out of tree branches - lol!

As a Grace believer, I see that two trees like this. The tree of life represents a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The tree of knowledge of good and evil represents the law. Paul describes this in Romans 7. He did not know what was right and wrong until he discovered the law, and when he discovered the law he discovered sin and he died spiritually. The children of Israel also come to this choice after they leave Egypt. God desires for them to all be like Moses, to be a nation of prophets that all have a relationship with him, but they reject that idea and they tell want Moses to speak to God for them and they will do whatever God says. So then the law comes and they start being punished. throughout the OT and into the new, we see Israel's failure to live by the law, so God bring the New Covenant through Jesus. The story in Genesis seems to be a warning to all people not to live by rule based religion which bring death, shame, condemnation, self-righteousness, division, and the illusion of being separated from God. Instead, we should live by the tree of life which is a relationship with God through Jesus which is based on unconditional love, grace, mercy, faith, and humility.

I'm not sure anyone is still following this video since it is a year old, but I have a thought about the wilderness aspect into which Adam and Eve were driven after the Fall. Every time I read the story of Jesus' temptation, I get the image that He is returning to Eden to complete the obedience that Adam and Eve had failed. With the creation corrupted by sin, the Garden had become that wilderness. One of Jesus' first acts was to redeem that sacred ground. He did not eat the food offered by the tempter. He rebuked the tempter (do not test God). He declared only God was to be worshipped. Jesus did everything Adam and Eve should have done. I know this is all speculation on my part, but this is the picture that comes to me and makes me smile. Jesus loves me, this I know, For the Bible tells me so. 🙂

I really enjoyed your discussion about order in Genesis. My pastor just recently spoke about how God put everything in order in the garden too. God was over man, man over women and then the animals. BUT it was during the fall that everything was disordered. The snake (animal) deceived the woman who influenced the man who disobeyed God. Is the the Exact opposite of order in which God made it. Your discussion was an extension to that conversation. Thank you

I don't think God said that anyone should be above/over another (I stand to be corrected). Most of us get that bit wrong and it ends up being misused especially by us who are called by God's Name.

@@rosiemitteco157 I know what you are saying because for the longest time I believed the same. The tricky bit is that those who are entrusted in teaching God's Word have misled (intentionally or by mistake) His flock with their own subversions. The Holy Trinity remains The Holy Trinity. Trying to compare mankind (men, women, children) or even animals to The Holy Trinity to make the point not only confuses those they are teaching but passes on the wrong information about Who God is. If you can, try read up about more on the topic and pray for God's direction. God bless you. PS: I hope you understand I'm talking about human beings and not The Holy Trinity.

How one practices this decision making which happens every moment of every day, not just " some times" a man is in front of the two trees, every moment in time is an opportunity and a choice between the two. The way I understand the differences between the types of creation or the levels of creation in genesis 1-3 and man being exiled from the garden into a disordered area that is still technically a part of God's "good" creation, is that there are different stages or levels of God's order. furthest is straight chaos, next is the dry land of which man was created, which in and of itself is nothing but potential. then the place Eden, which denotes plants and animals and some semblance of order and harmony or symbiosis between the plants and animals but which harmony is likely to deteriorate without intervention. and then the Garden in Eden which is the place of self sustaining order and harmony, and then the center of the Garden which is the object that bring that perfect order to the garden. This obviously parallels the tabernacle and temple symbolism, and narrative, where the closer you get to God, the more centered and higher spiritual plane you attain unto. This is also a mirror image of the levels of Heaven spoken of in 1 Corinthinas 15, where the symbols of the Sun, Moon, and Stars are representative of the levels of order and glory found even within that heavenly realm. This life is meant for us to determine and choose which of those levels or stages we feel most comfortable living in and abiding by (pure chaos, wilderness, Eden, Garden, Tree of Life) and that is where we will receive an inheritance in the life to come, (outer darkness, Stars, Moon, Sun, God) and just as there is spiritual differentiation between those that live in each of those Mortal/garden places there also will be spiritual differentiation between those who live in those heavenly levels. Thus this Earth life is a reflection of what will be in that Heavenly realm.

In regards to the covering with the fig tree branches. I've never had anyone go into that either untill it come up... Which made me think about it... Guess there wasn't anything else around and that's all there was... If your trying to relate it to and say they were trying to look like trees it don't make sense as they ate fruit not branches or leaves.... Though it is in our nature, that for so many when they sin, they cover themselves with the same sin again to try n go unnoticed... Liars make up more lies to cover lies to lie more to seem truthful, so let's not cover our lies and our sins with more sin and lies.(fig leaves)..stand up be honest and truthful no mater how naked it makes you feel.. we know as soon as we sin that we have done it and automatically go into cover up mode..as seen with Adam and Eve , that just leads to all sorts of trouble....

When talking about living in wisdom on a daily, ongoing basis, you said the "rule" is to love God and love others. But you left out loving ourselves (love your neighbor as yourself). Over the years, I have frequently noticed this omission. For people who have lived in abusive relationships, there is a huge tendency to hate themselves. So the order is to love God, ourselves, then orhers.

We must be careful before saying someone can or is speaking in tongues. First, it must be a real language (either currently existing or a dead one); second, if it should happen, the message must be announced one language at a time; third, there must be an interpreter present to allow others understand properly, fourth: it must not be in contradiction with any part of the bible.
