5:00 - Yep. Tires make all the difference. I had a BMW i3 for many years, with its rear wheel drive and laughably skinny tires. But with the (one available at the time) Bridgestone studless snow tires, it handled snowy mountain passes and trips to ski resorts better than my AWD Subaru on "all season" tires did.

I don’t know why other car companies outside of Tesla keep making EVs with around 250 miles of range roughly. As an EV car guy myself, should be in the 300s to really feel at ease about going to local areas or a potential road trip itself. Since you cannot charge these cars 100% all the time you are actually getting less range which isn’t a good thing
@Silverback_GMT41019 сағат бұрын
Clearly a premium vehicle but I still can’t get past the Raptor levels of money you pay for this thing. BUT I am a fan of it, I like the styling, materials and the thoughtful amenities. Plus any commonsensical person would/should know that you buy an EV is you have a place to charge it at home. And you will never have to worry about range on the day to day.

I'd lke to see more people talking about the fire hazard of these things along with how impractical they are. I mean being a fire hazard is also impractical. When one electrical car fire can destroy a parking lot full of cars, make approaching the area unsafe from the fumes and destroy the parking or building complex as well causing it to be a toxic waste area - extreeeemely impractical and inconvenient. You cant just throw water at EV fires either and call it a day. Stick to your gasoline cars until the fire risk is next to impossible from another battery technology. Personally I would avoid hybrids as well. Forgot to mention Tesla EV's dont have mechanical door levers and locks so if there is a malfunctio nyou are locked in, so, how's that for charming. You have to kick a window out to escape. Hope everyone is very athletic. This VW seems to have door levers at least.
@gregpochet4812Күн бұрын
How is this any different than Gas cars? Please do more research and you will find that gas cars are just or more dangerous and likely to catch fire. EV's do not catch fire often. When one does, of course the media is all over it, making it seem like they ALL catch fire. And in my research, the fire is usually caused by the charger, not the vehicle.
@2.3_44XD--Күн бұрын
Fantastic answer gregpochet. It's like smoking, drugs, alcohol or war. No one cares about that, but if an EV is presented they run to make comments against them and defend the gasoline infrastructure.
