I know this is a cursory comparison but I’ve always felt it’s difficult to truly compare two racquets if they aren’t strung with the same string at the same tension....
@edleung4046 Жыл бұрын
I think the more appropriate comparison shall be based on the recommended strings and tension, as different rackets are designed for particular string/string type and tension. Putting the same string and tension on 2 rackets and use this set up for comparison would be like using the same wheels and tyres to compare 2 cars whose stock wheel and tyre sizes are different.

I own both of them, major difference between them is that Strike gave me elbow pain. After just two days of playing with Clash the pain disappeared. I strongly recommend Clash for a recreational player, the main goal is to keep playing and not to get injured ;-)

As the Clash is so 'special' I would love to see a comprehensive and extensive test with different string beds/types and tensions.. As the LXN Smarts *may* not be the optimal (doubling the tech) for some results.. maybe Alu power @ for example 55 (?) gives the racket more control AND the power, while still preserving (which is important) the innovative characteristics? Or maybe poly/natural cross/main is the best for this racket, strung at different tensions? Would love to see this, there are no such extensive tests on the internet, whilst a racket that is so different and special, really needs to be tested into oblivion :)

Played with pure strike 16x19 (gen 2) for 5 to 6 years and was very happy with it. Started looking at Clash while recovering from a wrist problem. Finally got a Clash 98 V1 in Feb (I chose the lower flex V1, as low flex was what drew my attention to Clash at first). Clash has much better comfort, better slice and slightly better stability (was I fooled by the comfort?). Pure strike has better power, better top spin and slightly better consistency. With Clash my arm and wrist feel much better after a game, which made a 57 years player very happy. I will stay with Clash 98 unless I play competitively again.

@ReidVV3 жыл бұрын
Clash gets so much love, but the string bed on all clash models is super erratic and inconsistent and it's not technique. The design with the flex tech they invented is not consistent at all. In fact is sucks. People believe marketing over fact. Tell them white is black enough times and they will start to believe it and repeat it to others. The fact that Harry uses a crappy clash with 400 pounds of lead added to it cracks me up. He's entertaining but his racquet judgement and his "coaches" that review racquets with him are HIGHLY questionable at best.
