it’s sad when one stops fighting for a r/s. r/s are not easy and both have to work tgt, it’s understandable if they are aware of the problems and have actively tried to resolve it but to no avail. but as what they said, if only one sees the problem and doesn’t communicate (be it thinking if that person is the right one or being confused abt the r/s), it’s hard to get rid of the thought that it might not be the right one and makes it harder to stay in the r/s, especially if ure dealing with that thought alone. a successful r/s is reminding urselves that it’s always both of u against the problem and u have to fight for the r/s with that mindset.

You have to put in effort in a relationship, but I don't believe you need to "fight for a relationship". It should be relatively smooth if both parties are compatible and on the same page.

Is the reason why as ppl grows older, they tend to find it harder to find a soulmate because they have so many expectations like stability and etc? compared to when we're younger where anything goes as long as he/she is good looking...

Make space for perspective - I completely agree because that's what me and my bf are giving each other, especially knowing both of us are in the state of focusing on working ourselves - career wise, so we can be better first before being better for each other

Thank you for all these "ketchup". It must have taken lots of time and effort in preparation. Appreciate the open opinions and thoughts. Which we discuss amongst close friends but never never social media.

Hang on, hasn't the majority (of at least half) of this panel watched Friends? "Look, maybe we should just take a break." In response to 19:43: "What's heads and what's tails?" "If you don't know that, then I don't want to do this with you." That episode (3x15) was gold. All of the abovementioned quotes were from it lol. But on a more serious note, I think your discussion brought up many good suggestions about how to approach conflict or just voicing out what you want, but I think ultimately it depends on the personality of both parties. I realised that when I heard the "I hear you" thing brought up by Dan. A superior once randomly said it to me before, but I felt really awkward about it because we were just having a regular work discussion, brainstorming and all. I'm sure she was putting something she had just learnt to use, but man, was it funny and inappropriate. Perhaps a different person would have appreciated it? But ultimately the most important thing is to know your audience.

But if your partner do not want to communicate, & has been cheating, do you still want to be in the relationship?

it may not be entirely true that people are bad at breakups as they're non-confrontational but it could just be that they have not witnessed enough meaningful and mature breakups hence, they chose the easy way out i.e ghosting or becoming a dick.
