Good to have you back my friend! Yes, it did look a bit challenging, but probably because it was still raw. My father found a point years ago where there was a clear line going through part of it when you held it up to the light. Pretty cool when that can happen. But with your job making it all work, you did well with what (to me) looked to be a bit crumbly at times.

looks to have been in a fire, thermal pot lid flakes are clear on the dark side . im not saying its "heat treated" just potentially had atleast one face exposed to a rapid extreme heat /cool cycle like a brush fire , cool rock though and well done forcing a point from it
