I have a a6 c7 sline cvt and after using efficiency I can definitely feel the car is slower with the reves and when in cruise control it takes a very long time to build up speed also in efficiency I have noticed a big difference in diesel on long drives saves me a lot of money on re fueling I was getting around 25 to 30 mpg now I get around 40 ish not so great but an improvement

I have the 35 TFSI S-Tronic Mild Hybrid and the difference is huge on my 2021 A3 Sedan! Depending on the roads and my driving Efficiency averages 3.7-5.4L/100KM while Dynamic averages 5.5-7.0L/100KM It's mostly noticeable when driving in heavy traffic or slow mountain roads, in efficiency my engine uses 2 instead of 4 cylinders during 50% of my accelerations then regenerates the battery, shuts down the engine and just rolls forwards, when I accelerate gently only the electric smoothly pushes forward without even engaging the clutch. When in dynamic all 4 cylinders are always on, the clutch is always engaged and the engine only shuts down when stopped, electric is drained instantly for a noticeable acceleration boost. On the TDI models the difference is barely noticeable if at all. Also when driving at constant speeds like highways with ACC there's no difference at all between different drive modes.

IC engines are simple, during idling the engine needs a rich mixture and a while accelerating phase and full throttle operations the same (rich mixture), but however while cursing the engines are the most efficient as they need a lean mixture. Targeting to drive a car by cruising at particular speed (with gear in overdrive, but that’s handled by the gear box), will always yield you maximum efficiency. Different modes are provided in the car in terms of engine response. While in eco mode, the ECU sends fuel to the engine in a manner that it accelerates to the desired speed but by drinking minimal fuel, therefore making it less response, dynamic on the other hand always aims to keep the engine more lively, or more responsive (mostly at turbo region

Apparently you are not in efficiency mode, even when you have clicked efficiency mode! I haven’t coded mine yet but I have managed to get it to efficiency mode by driving very smoothly at about 65mph, when that happens the bar at your dash indicating fuel economy becomes green! Yours isn’t green which shows that cylinder deactivation hasn’t happened!
