Hello Becca! I was an Atheist/agnostic since my early teenage years. Now I'm 29 years old and only since January 2019 I'm a believer. It happened like this: I'm an elderly care nurse, I work in a big facility full of hundreds of people on a brink of death. In 2018 in spite of my increasing depression and loneliness I made a commitment to myself that I will be a better person to other people and not just to people who are nice to me but also to people who are hating and manipulative. I just made it out of humanistic reasons, I just wanted to be better person and at least not to add more evil to this already dark world. It helped me a lot with combatting my depression but I was still going downward emotionally so it became a norm that I was crying everyday after work and oftentimes before work and even sometimes during alone work breaks. This was my life for many many months. Then IT happened... I was lying in my bed after work crying my eyes out in deep sorrow when suddenly I saw...a beautiful cloud above me...full of colors and Rays. The whole room was a little brighter but the cloud was clearly visible. I immediately knew what it was or rather WHO It was. It immediately came to my mind that it is The Father, The Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. It just came to my mind immediately even though I wasn't really interested in Christian theology before and I wasn't informed about the Dogma of The Holy Trinity. I also immediately felt at peace, I felt compassion, understanding, hope and love... At the back of my mind I also had this thought that was saying something like: "so it's true...everything has an Creator, Creator of things visible and invisible..." I immediately started praying everyday, I ordered God's Word(the Bible)and Holy Cross and started reading it. Afterwards I received many signs of God Existence and many many help and guidance from Him. But it was the begining and everything felt very fresh and a thought came to my sceptic mind "maybe because of depression, emotions and all the drugs and alcohol that I have done in my life I just have gone crazy or something. So I asked God in sincere Prayer that he would give me yet another sign, a strong sign that would drive away doubts once and for all. Afterwards I still got many small signs and dreams but a few days later I was making clean one patient who is paralazied, just lying in bed, getting his food artificially through a pipe in his stomach and doesnt communicate with anyone really. A massive stroke survivor in a vegetable state. Normally he's silent and just groans sometimes. While I was caring for him him he suddenly spoke with a loud voice saying " after your new birth you have become a wonderful person" I was shocked at first. I asked him to say again what he said. He said it again. I was shocked that this person in a vegetable state is saying something audible and not just anything but something pointed directly at me and that has a strong link to my new experiences. I asked him to say it again one more time. He did... He said this sentence exactly 3 times with the same loud brave voice. After that there was silence for a moment. When I was about to leave the room Then he suddenly said one more sentence "here is a mess, there is better" I'm in Germany and he's a German so he said in german: "hier ist Schweinerei, da ist besser" One Detail about the situation:also in this room there is a big Crucifix above the bed of his neighbor patient. This was one of the strongest miracles and signs that was granted me last year but not the only one. At the time I didn't even knew what "new birth" means...how can an already born man be born again. Then I have read that it is actually a crucial fundamental thing in Christianity. It seems that in John 3:4 a Pharisee named Nicodemus asked the same question lol. To my understanding It means that at the moment I believed in the Holy Trinity, confessed my sins, asked for forgiveness and acknowledged Jesus Christ of Nazareth as my Lord, God and Saviour then He came to me, He took my old heart of stone and gave me a new heart made of flesh. And from this moment I'm a new creation. Another time in those times of beginning of my new life I was reading about many different Christian denominations, many different churches. I was confused. All of those people are telling that their Church is the true Church of God but all of them have dramatically different idea about God. So in my evening Prayer I asked God which Church is the true one. I closed my eyes And then I saw a word written with the golden capital Letters: " CATHOLICISM". It appeared 3 times in pauses so like CATHOLICISM…3seconds darkness then again CATHOLICISM then again 3 seconds darkness and again CATHOLICISM. This was my answer. After that I have read the God's Word(Holy Bible) that only affirmed the claim of Holy Catholic Church to be the real Church of Jesus Christ till his second Arrival. Verses like Matthew 16:18 when The Lord is saying to Peter the apostle(the first Pope in Rome) that: And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” St. Peter Jewish name is Cepha which means Stone/Rock and his tomb grave is also made of stone and lays to this very day under St.Peter Basilikum in Vatikan where his successors speak. Or the verse John 6:56 "Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him" . This is the Catholic Church that has the Holy Sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday Mass. Sometimes the Priest doubt that the Holy Communion waffer is really the The most Holy Flesh of Lord Jesus Christ. That's when miracles happen and the waffer is turned to actual bleeding Flesch......Just Google en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucharistic_miracle or any other site. Science also has proved it. This AB blood type is still fresh to this day and one of the first miracles of this type happened in the year 1263 so we are talking about Blood that never even slightly decomposed during almost 800 years! The AB blood type has also apparently been found on the miracolous Shroud of Turin. There are even reports that blood taken from some weeping statues of Mary have the AB blood type. The Holy Apostolic Catholic Church is full of miracles that happen on everyday basis and there are also many other Bible verses that confirm itsclaim as the true Church but this post has already got too long. And as always if someone doesn't want to do extensive research he should just ask directly the Head of the Church and that is our beloved Lord Jesus Christ "Emmanuel-"God with us" God bless you all with the enlargement of heart and mind and I pray that every created soul will build a loving trusting relationship with our Dad- that is with our maker and carer the most kind, wise, unique and Holy Everlasting Father that is GOD.

An analogy I like on this topic: The world is an ocean, it reflects God's glory above. Every good thing on this earth is a manifestation of God's glory. We stumble when we mistake the reflection for the real thing and dive into the world. We drown searching for what is above. It takes God's hand rescuing us from the waves to see this. This is honestly an aswer to un unprayed prayer, something I had in my thoughts. This is an explanation to what my heart have been feeling for quite some time now. I can go around in my day being busy with school, work, working out, making food and other everyday activities and suddenly get this strong feeling of emptiness for no reason, like there is no point in doing of what I am doing, this things that I do, do not birng me closer to God or help me love others. And this video explained SO much, and made som much sense and Im just thankfull. Oh, how I love that quote from "Mere Christianity"--it's been stamped on my heart since childhood. I first heard a derivative of it through the Brooke Fraser "C.S. I totally agree with what you said about us being made for Heaven and that's why as believers we feel unsatisfied at times. I would also encourage believers that Our King is Coming! I believe that these longings in us will grow as we approach the day when Our King calls us Home. As that day approaches, I think we will feel more and more unsatisfied with the things of the world but if we don't recognize that God wants to prepare us for His soon Coming then it might leave us in a place of confusion. If people want to get into a theological discussion on this topic I'm cool with that. I simply wanted to help believers in Jesus understand that I think these desires for Heaven along with a growing dissatisfaction with the world and it's things will grow in us as the Lord prepares "His Bride" to be called Home. If we aren't aware that He is Coming soon then we might feel this greater dissatisfaction and become more depressed because we aren't seeing what the Lord is doing. I have found in my life that when I feel the farthest away from God that is when He is usually the closest but I can't recognize it because I can't see the work He is doing in my life. For example, when I have been out of work I feel that I am not being purposeful, I feel added stress because of bills, etc. I have felt so far away from the Lord and yet later I realize that this uneasy feeling was Him moving in my life and molding me. I believe that for many believers these feelings and thoughts of stress and "where's God?" right now is Him working in our lives to mold us to get ready to meet Him face to face. If we recognize that He is Coming soon then we might understand the things that are happening in our lives right now better and see the Lord moving in our midst. I encourage every believer, make a list of your loved ones and pray for them, pray that they will be saved, pray for the lost and hurting in the world and boldly share the love of Jesus. Our King is Coming let's get ready. May the Lord Bless you and Keep you until He comes.

Really want to have God in all aspects of my life, definitely find it hard to live upto having the unshaking faith that the Bible demands. I understand God still loves my regardless and I want to give him my all but always feel like there's something holding me back
