Teaser/Publi ENGLISH SUBTITLES The treatises on court dance that have arrived to us have always been written by men. Does this mean there were no female dancing masters or that if there were some, they never wrote a treatise? How are women considered in these texts? Could we speak of a sexist or even misogynistic treatment in these treatises that not only taught the noble technique of dance but also the protocol necessary to move and succeed in high society?
This documentary will try to shed light on the subject with the collaboration of prestigious researchers, choreographers, dancers and educators who, better than anyone, can detect this sexist bias in these treatises published between the 15th and 19th centuries.
