Agreed! Paul at FabRats needs a Rokon. The core teams who did the Golden Nugget should be the members in the slow rolling Rokon biker gang. Paul and his team were instrumental in building the Golden Nugget. As always, you do great work, Robby! You have a great team.

I do leatherwork as a hobby. Mud flaps don’t seem like they’d be a problem. I could probably even tool your logo into it. An old school trick for you….If there is rust in the ROKON fuel tank, 3/4 fill it with apple cider vinegar and seal it up. After 2 days, turn it upside down. Then on the 4th day, empty it out (it’s environmentally safe so dump it anywhere), rinse with water with some baking soda to neutralize the acid, then air dry with compressed air. Immediately put some fuel in it and roll the fuel around to coat the inside of the tank. Guaranteed it will be totally clean fresh steel.

Giving it to Paul would be the way to go. Getting everyone involved with Golden Nugget build out on a Rokon adventure trip. If not, build it as a military style tribute and give it to a Veteran. Either way is win!

Hey Hillbilly, If you don't mind a trick; When changing oil Keep one of the empty quart bottles and cut it in half. This gives you a funnel to use. When you are done screw the top back on and insert the top half into the bottom half by squeezing the sides of the top a little. You now have a self contained funnel that stays clean and catches the remaining oil into the bottom half. Next time you need it pull it apart and remove the cap and your funnel is ready for use. You probably have done something like this but others may not have thought of it. Any way I found it useful and just wanted to share. Luv you guys, God bless.

Give it to Paul at Fab Ratts. Then you guys need a Rokon challenge of some kind. Make it an epic race/trek from point A to point Z, requiring everyone to get points for hitting all those points in between. Through, swamp. Cross rivers. Up hills. Over log piles etc. camping along the way. That would be an epic cross-channel video. Get one of this YT channels that has a SHERP (Russian go everywhere vehicle) involved. For logistics and back up in the middle of nowhere. Maybe someone is already hosting “The Rubicon” of Rokon gatherings. Figure out when and where it is and make it out there. Looking forward to seeing you guys doing something competitive with all those Rokons.

If you reverse the tire tread direction to use the tire blades to dig, they will fill up with mud and the tire will loose all traction. That is why farmers reverse the tractors (to unplug the mud that gets stuck between the blades). Having them as they are deals better with mud as it pushes all the soft mud out sideways allowing the tire to dig down to the firmer soil or rock owhy

as an ol' farmer myself, the tractor tread is great for clearing out the mud. I'd look to see if some UTV tires with directional tred might be a better path... think enduro moto tire tred patterns.

We are going to watch this video tonight however I can say that the Rokon slow wheeler project is not about money, it is much more. Nowever having said that I feel the Rokon concept is something to be admired. So as a side project it would be good to see a whole new bike developed on the Rokon model. Just think about crawling around the place looking for things or as a support vechicle. have a place on a new off road rig for a 2022 Clone Rokon so that it can be offloaded to safe work and time out in the field. You forget something in the field, Clone Rokon is unloaded for a quick run back to the mothership.

I use McMaster-Carr for speciality fasteners. They have next day shipping and a huge variety of types and metals. Fastenal would be a good source for onsite supply.

0:54 They do make some awesome Motorcycle tank dent repair tools. Access from fill hole on tank. I've seen them used. Also, one easy way to remove rust or bad liner from inside take - half fill tank with pea rock, wrap & tape with thick blanket, put in clothes dryer, stuff loose blankets or towels to fill space, & run with no heat for hours. The rock will tumble, but the tank should be stable. Our Hardware Hank provides a bolt service. They showed up once a week to inventory & replace. Ask if your Ace Hardware will do so.

He would have to fit it into a mold, with the dented areas open. That's the only way he could 'control' what part of the tank (ice) expands. Like putting a soda can in the freezer... sometimes the top expands, sometimes the bottom expands. Sometimes the side blows out!

Robbie...from a retired race car fabricator and guy who once almost bought a Rokon dealership...DRILL the rivets out. Then no risk of slipping with the belt sander and damaging surrounding area, and no struggle removing the remainder.

You can work with Fastenal, or Grainger on getting the bolt bins. They will com in and refill the bins on a regular schedule. The can also keep you supplied with stainless steel nut, bolts, and washers.

I’ve been looking for an affordable Rokon to use at hunt camp and around my property for three years now and thanks to you guys the prices are now insane! However I finally found a 1981 in good shape and at a fair price but had to drive 520 miles to get it. 😊 I’ll use it this fall then use your videos if I have to do any work on it. Love your channel. Sorry Hillbilly that's not how tractor tires work, the tires on the Rokon are mounted the correct way. If you turn them around so that the V pattern is facing the rear of a vehicle < you will loose massive traction because soil will build up in the V causing the tire to ride on the surface. The V pattern goes to the front of the vehicle > so that debris is thrown out to the sides letting the tires dig in. Take care guys, this is another build that I look forward to seeing it completed. 😊

I’m sorry to say, but I think the orange, black and burnt bronze would really pop!! If you decide to pay it forward to Paul you need to find him an old Wooden Mountain Dew crate to mount on the front rack!!! They would be cool to have the Rokon’s around at the demolition derbies.

Hey Robbie, have you ever tried to drill rivets out? I do it daily, just use the same size drill bit as the rivet. If the rivet spins just hold the drill bit at a slight angle while applying light pressure an it will cut the head off an push the body right through...
