Probably production costs cutting into profits too much for a label to want to risk it not increasing sales. You can still find some that put effort into actual music videos if you know where to look but there's so many now that just do a bunch of cuts to different scenes with the artist doing the song for the camera.

Story has it Toby Keith rang Willie Nelson up and said got a duet you interested. Willie said send it to me. Oh what's the title? Toby said "Whiskey for my men, Beer for my horses" Willie said don't send it I"m in. Toby does another great song with Willie. "I'll Never Smoke Weed with Willie again. They don't block most country artists. Especially Willie and weed. You also might try, Brad Paisley, "Alcohol".

It helps that most country artists and labels don't seem to care as much overall about people listening to and sharing their music like this, especially if it's from a decade or two back. Any other modern music they slap a copyright claim on everything to make every cent they can and try to force more people to buy buy buy if they want to hear the song.

This video was made at the time when many music videos told short self-contained stories, and this is a good example of that music video genre.

Beer is good for your horse 👍👍 One tall boy a day........chock full of B vitamins too . Had a truck driver neighbor who owned a 1,500 pound Bahma Bull. After a week on the road , he"d pull out back with a 6 pack of tallboy for his bull, and a 6 for himself This is where I learned health benefits of beer. Doesn't even phase the Bull he said because of its body mass. And NEVER get an animal drunk....it can kill them. So , guess a horse can have one to stay on safe side.....👍

The music video for the song is not an actual movie, it's pretty much just a short they put together for the song. There is a movie starring Toby Keith called Beer for my Horses, but it has a completely different story. Still a great movie worth watching at least once though. Back when this was done some of them used to do full on short films with production value for the official music videos.
