One annoying side effect I’ve connected to Mounjaro is frequent, screeching and jarring hiccups. I thought it was a vagus nerve issue, but it clearly started soon after my switch to Mounjaro.

Dry mouth and a sore tongue can have many causes, including infections, nutritional deficiencies, and certain medications: I am starting Mounjaro this Wednesday, so ive been watching your videos so I'm not so nervous. Thought the info i googled and pasted might be helpful. ❤😊 Infections: Bacterial or viral infections of the salivary glands, like mumps, can cause inflammation and restrict saliva production. Sialadenitis is another condition that can occur when bacteria and viruses invade the salivary glands, causing inflammation and disrupting salivary gland function. Nutritional deficiencies: Deficiencies in vitamin B and minerals like iron and zinc can contribute to a burning tongue

To avoid bruising with injections, once you insert the needle pull back on the syringe instead of pushing the medicine in. Just do this for a second. If blood comes in the syringe you hit a vessel. Pull the needle out and redo at another location. If no blood when you pull back on the plunger then go ahead and push in the medicine. I’m a RN and this is how I was taught to inject any medication.

I'm on mounjaro and also had that strange sensation in the tongue. Almost felt like a pain and weird taste. Was also having really bad dry mouth around that time. Seems to have gone away. Needed to thank you for the tips on splitting doses. I bought syringes and vials you recommended. Have a lot of boxes from titrating up and down and don't want to waste any of them.

I just started using the "Overnight Oats" it has protein and I use the oat milk extra creamy. I totally thought I would absolutely hate it , but I went for it. I am not a fan of cold oatmeal. But this is just crazy good. I am in my second one and Wowza I truly thought I would absolutely hate it but I Absolutely Love It!!! TFS Sweetie Hug's 💙🫂🥰🦋🌻

Dry mouth is a common side effect from tirz. In regards to the bruise, yes, you hit a vein. Also fairly common.

I want to bring up that I am constantly cold, like it’s 80 degrees and I can wear a sweater or jacket and jeans. I literally have no other symptoms and have lost 52lbs and am currently on zepbound 12.5mg. I take Metamucil every day per instructions from my doctor.

That’s a thyroid dysfunction symptom.

When you lose a lot of weight you no longer have the body fat to keep you warm. I used to keep my AC set to 72°. As time has gone on I now set it at 77° and that can feel cold.. It wouldn't hurt to have your thyroid tested. I have lost 57lbs.

Hi yes I have this dry mouth from tirzepatide. I need to drink at least 120 ounces of water and I add an electrolyte powder to 2 of my water bottles.

This happens to me when I’m slacking on my water and electrolytes. When I take my injection I always drink a bottle of water with electrolytes immediately. When I remember to do that I don’t have that dryness.

I have been on mounjaro 28 weeks, first 4 on 2.5 and the rest on 5. I haven’t moved up because I am still losing 1-2 pounds a week. Weight loss has slowed down, but I am 15 away from goal weight. I, too, have been experiencing dry mouth and weird taste in my mouth. Dry mouth usually at night. I attributed it to being a mouth breather. Lol

Orderly only will give me 2.5 as a maintenance dosage which really disappointed me and makes zero sense as I’m on 7.5. I had to move on to Lavender Sky, which honestly I think will be a way better option as you can actually choose which pharmacy your meds come from. Highly recommend them.
@Brittanylosing25 күн бұрын
Hmmm. Not sure this is true. Orderly starts you wherever you were before. I’m wondering if maybe information was relayed wrong. Orderly is all about letting you find your maintenance dosage.

@@Brittanylosingthey said my bmi was too low. I’m 5’6 and have gone from 190 to 135 since February 19 of this year. I was going to a med spa previously and wanted to switch to orderly. I didn’t have an actual prescription as it was a med spa, which I would never recommend to anyone due to that issue, but I was willing to work up to my 7.5 and they denied me when I tried to up it to get to my 7.5 dosage. I was really shocked when they told me 2.5 was all they would prescribe permanently.

I've been having teeth sensitivity in my upper front teeth lately. Currently on 2.5 mg Zep. It feels like how my teeth get when I use whitening products, they start to feel sensitive. Weird! I've also been having some mild dry mouth. Thanx for sharing your experiences!

Yes! I have the same dry mouth, weird feeling on my tongue and a strange taste. I had that feeling with Wegovy. I have been on Zepbound 5 mg for 1 1/2 weeks and it’s the same thing. Sometimes it tastes like if you brush your teeth and then drink orange juice. It’s a strange bitter taste. It feels like my taste buds have gone out of wack. I hope this eventually goes away. It’s no fun!

I’ve been on semaglutide 3 months.. only 10 pounds! Also I pay $150 just for a “membership “ to the med spa, then the medicine is 150 plus 20 for shipping. I get nothing for the membership! Except the prescription.
@Brittanylosing25 күн бұрын
Orderly doesn’t charge a subscription fee, and semaglutide is $249 there. Tirzepatide is $399 any dosage. Do you know where your medicine comes from? What pharmacy?

@kellymackie4836 I just switched from Zepbound to tirzepatide from a compound pharmacy thru Emerge. There's no monthly fee, they just charge ased on dose. So 2.5 mg starts at $287. (There's promo codes to get $25 off ur first two mo's) and my meds are from Hallandale. Emerge said they go by whats closest to the state u live in.

How about exercising and eating a healthy diet? That also means no processed foods. The long term side effects on these drugs are horrific.
