Personal Review: Im almost 30, used to skate all through my teens til about 19/20. couldnt trick. tried, could never ollie. i can carve though. Im wanting to start filming again so i picked up some inlines and a board. i got the board 2 days ago. I went out to a brand new parking lot with my dog and had her tug me around. it felt how i remembered for the most part. My trucks came loose like I like. it does feel somewhat cheap in my hands, but riding it feels good. i thought it was small because i was grown, not the actual deck size. thanks for clearing that up. i bought it on clearance for $20, after literally testing one out in the sport isle for $30~ Dont know why some were clearanced and others werent, but its fine. i dont plan on testing how breakable it is, but for $20 this thing is perfectly ridable. If you know better, then it might feel cheap in your hands, i cant describe it. but a true beginner/novice wouldnt be able to tell, and it feels completely normal riding

Just curious, not being a dick but why couldn't you do tricks after that long? Just not your thing? I could do alot with in a year and truly enjoy it but I mainly liked the lifestyle in the early 90s. I had friends that got sponsored and were way more serious than me plus I did have a limit of fear. Lol

Im no master skater and dont currently skate but when I did for the ollie I would bring my knees up a decent amount. That way you know you got the ollie because the board stays with your feet. Of course, after you do the basic of the ollie pop. Also, it felt weird to do certain things if the board was too big.

Skateboard Factory Feedback: - Shrink wrapping decks before assembling the trucks saves about 2 USD per board. Decks scratch very easily when taken from the print shop to the assembly line and during the assembly. The shrink wrap prevents the decks from being scratched and also allows the manufacturer to stack gripped decks. This way the assembly line can run at twice the speed. - 95A is the cheapest urethane hardness for skateboard wheels. Braille was smart to use the N shape wheels. These are popular for technical skating and use little material (cheaper)! - This truck shape is popular for low cost skateboards because it uses close to the least amount of aluminum possible. This makes the trucks less durable but much lighter which is a great trade off for light kids. Due to its lower durability when used by heavy people this truck fails CE tests and is therefor forbidden to be sold in Europe. - The trucks are tightened so strongly because factory drills are extremely strong. High end boards are loosened with a T-tool after the assembly. Keeping the trucks hard saves one step in the production. - The grip: OS780 is not just letters! This is the composition of expensive pro level grip tape, comparable to Jessup! And like you said, it’s not MOB. MOB uses OS60. However, I don’t believe this board really comes with OS780 grip at that price - based on the color and your reaction it should be 80S which is still great grip, just using cheaper glue and only one size of crystals. - All in all this skateboard was planned very smart. Braille saved where it hurts skaters the least. Kids will now have an actual real skateboard as their first board!

I remember when I was 12 the boards I got were just trash. One I got as a birthday gift since some family friend's found out I wanted to try skateboarding so they went to Walmart and got one for like $30 I think or $20. It was good enough to ride for a bit, the board was pretty good but the trucks were so ass. Just plastic. I landed my first shuv it on that board but after I did, the trucks broke. I literally kept going an on till I landed it. Second board I hated the most. Trucks had no real way to tighten or loosen them and they were just in a shit spot where I didn't even want to ride it. That board might of been what made me not skate at all since I had friends who had skateboards that were decent while mine was just annoying to ride. Now two weeks ago I go to a local shop in my city and get a complete and I just want to ride the hell out of it. If I had a decent option for a skateboard back then I feel I probably would had stuck to it more.

Yeah that’s all heartfelt and a nice story but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and a cheap board is a cheap board. If kids want a good board they have to shell out the cash just like I did when I was 13-14. Walmart is still selling shitty boards at a low price just like they’ve always done, and I’m not too impressed by these being “slightly” better.

My first was a walmart board when I was 5, almost 18 years ago. My dad broke it in half teaching me to ollie (he was 6'7"), I was pissed but he let me build my own to make up for it and I've skated ever since. I couldn't agree more that buying cheap like this is the way to go, 5 years old or 50. I've had too many friends since that were interested in skating, so ofc I would tell them "dude build your own, walmart boards will snap in half", then they drop 120+ to skate it for a couple days before giving up. I think this board is the perfect step so people dont break bank on something they find to dislike, but also don't literally break it before knowing.

For those that wonder why, the decks are made at one factory and shrink wrapped to protect them from shipping damage. The trucks are made at a different factory. I think this would at least get kids to know the basics then maybe down the line if their parents have the funds or if the kid saves up or teen works, then they can get a more expensive better board. The Walmart boards did help me learn how to ride and balance at least but god I hated that second one so bad. When I think about it, I don’t think it mattered about the quality of the board, it was more of a feeling once I first stepped on it. From that first contact I knew it, an instant connection. 40+ years later, the bodies taken a beating and I’m not as daring or limber as I used to be, but I’m still shredding. Okay, i will be the first to say, when I first heard about this I said it was wack. After watching this video I understand the purpose more and I think it’s actually kind of cool. That’s honestly one of the best looking boards I’ve seen come out of a department store. With better trucks or if the deck was wider, it’d be perfect

7.75 deck, griptape that's the literal opposite of Mob, barely loosenable trucks, soft wheels that are not noisy (!!!)... hats off to Dan for stepping out of his comfort zone. On a more serious note though, that looks like a really solid product, especially considering the price. Would definitely buy if I knew someone who's trying to get into skating.

Just an FYI about the loosenable trucks. Trucks bushings are a replaceable part of a skateboard. You could probably just replace the truck bushings ( a few bucks cost) and make it as loose as you want

Checked Walmart's website while watching your review and this board was priced at $8.99! Is Braille giving them to Walmart for free? The limit was 2 so I bought 2. After the $5.99 min order fee and tax I paid 25.52 shipped. One arrived a few days later and then they refunded me for the other saying they were sold out. The second one arrived yesterday free of charge. Bingo I guess. Other than the trucks lack of turning radius, and for the price, it is a surprisingly well made/equipped board. Thanks for the review and the heads up.

If you die tonight, do you know where you're going? Did you know that Jesus Christ is THE Truth, the life and the only way to Heaven? Revelation 20:15 ''Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.'' Through Jesus Christ, God offers you a FREE gift - forgiveness. All you need to do is repent, turn away from your sins and evil ways, from now on put your faith completely in Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him. Biblical explanation of the Gospel: God doesn’t want anybody in hell, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we ALL have sinned. (Romans 3:23) The law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23). Since we have all sinned, we all deserve hell. Revelation 21:8 says that all liars will go to hell. Yes, even if you have lied once in your life, you are sentenced to hell - that's how high God's standards are of moral perfection because God is holy and righteous, there is not one sin in Him. For someone to be justified before holy God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ - for He lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day. None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10). Our carnal mind is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's moral law and it never will (Romans 8:7). We hate the thought of God for the same reason a criminal hates a policeman - we know we have sinned against God and are guilty of it and we don't want to be damned. No good works will ever save you. You can't earn salvation by good works, because God will judge us for our sin. Good News is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect, holy, sinless life and He died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried and He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16) We aren’t saved by our good works, but only by the grace of God through faith in Christ. ''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30) just before He died on the cross, which means He paid the fine for our sins (past, present, future) to be forgiven only IF we repent and trust in Him. This is how you can get saved from sin and hell - repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ. Get to know Him by reading God's Word. So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” (Luke 11:13) ''What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!'' (Romans 6:15) ''Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out'' (Acts 3:19) Repentance is a turning away from sin and all evil works, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8). Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin. While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Do not play a hypocrite. ''God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.'' (1 John 1:5-6) (John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." If you have repented and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ then you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit and be born-again spiritually. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession - to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36) ''You will know them by their fruits'' (Matthew 7) If you have been truly born-again with the Holy Spirit and He has regenerated your heart, you will desire righteousnes - to do what is good and righteous in God's eyes, to seek God everyday in His Word and prayer, to strengthen your relationship with God. You will no longer desire to willfully continue living in sin but will want to obey God out of your love for Him because of His amazing grace revealed to us through the death and resurrection of His Son. ''Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.'' (2 Corinthians 5:17) ''For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.'' (Eph 2:10) You will have a testimony - of what your life had been before and how has it changed now when you have surrendered it to Lord Jesus Christ. As a declaration and affirmation of your faith in Jesus Christ, get baptised in water because He commanded us to do so. In John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.'' ''Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'' (Matthew 28:19) ''Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.'' (Acts 2:41) ''And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,'' (1 Peter 3:21) ''We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.'' (Romans 6:4) ''Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.'' (Colossians 2:12) Please get right with God and get to know Jesus Christ personally today before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left! "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32) Get to know Christ through God's Word - Bible. At first I recommend reading Gospel of John and book of Romans. God bless you! Jeremiah 29:13 - ''You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.''

If u can manage to get this for $30 or less I’d say this is without a doubt the best buy for the money. I actually can’t stand the Braille channel but the board appears to be really good quality considering it’s price & that it’s sold in Walmart. They really needed a board like this for beginners cuz prior to this it was pretty much horrible Walmart board that’s only good for a 5-year-old to push around in the sidewalk in front of their house OR a professional set up that’ll cost at least $100($100 is on the REALLY low end & the lowest quality for a “professional” board. I’m referring to the pre-built completes youd find at Zumiez by companies like DGK & Element). I know when you’re a parent I don’t wanna spend a ton of $ on something your kid might get bored of in a few days but if u buy them the typical Walmart board that hardly rolls u don’t give them much of a chance to really experience skateboarding & the crappy board will probably be part of the reason they don’t wanna skate anymore. At least with one of these boards they have a chance to get a real feel for skateboarding & they have a decent quality board to improve on

The reason you can't loosen the trucks is because of the kingpin depth, which you praised earlier. If you have a lower kingpin, you don't hangup on grinds, but you also don't have a ton of space to tighten and loosen. Seems like they went shorter than they should.

Walmart did this in the mid to late 2000's with a skateboard that was made by Air Speed a once good lower end like beginner and mid level skater company before Air Walk bought out the company and closed the board side just to get the shoes, with shoes only sold at Walmart with a single signature model in two colors black with grey trim or black with tan trim that was trash copy of some Vans model from 2000 even the legend status pro sponsored by the shoes had to get new shoes every 2--3 months after the good initial run that lasted 4--6 months for people including the pro. The Air Speed boards were good at about almost $50 with sale as low as $32--$30 for specific type tops the underside paint job the boards (often the old logo) with same deal, a good board for beginners to try if they wanted a true trick skateboard. Lots of people bought the board just for the wheels as of you stayed away from some wheels, some were a little hard (mainly translucent) needed to feel them before buying they were good enough and they took off the tops due to how hard yet undurable due to no flex the Maple top boards were.
