Feel that. I hit some debris and wrecked August ‘23 and was in the hospital 4 months. 109 days after the accident I stood up for the first time for just 10 seconds. I had a therapist basically picking me up with a belt and I was holding some parallel bars. Fast forward, November ’24 and I still need at least 2 surgeries to fix my right knee (3/4 ligaments need to get reconstructed still). I haven’t been able to walk without a walker and frequently use a wheelchair as my “good” leg was also injured pretty bad and is still regaining strength. I haven’t been on a bike after pretty much daily being on one. It’s going to be at least 2 years from the day of the accident for me to be able to truly walk without assistance from a walker/crutches/cane. I understand that feeling of wanting to do something simple but not being able to.
