Hi Lew, I've being riding a few years now (over 40). If you can get into doing life savers when you change direction etc, and if possible get in the outside lane (where less lorries go) at roundabouts (less chance of diesel there), plus look as far ahead as possible so you can take avoiding action if need be, it may literally save you... happy riding

Hello, what do you mean by doing life savers when changing direction?
@trevorc6793Ай бұрын
@6ar5ar it's a quick glance over the shoulder in the direction you're heading to make sure it's clear

Great video!!! I built and have a 65 Cobra Replica which Dyno'ed at 420 HP and weighs in at 2100lbs. I equate it to a 4 wheeled motorcylce and drive very defensively with it. I can say without a doubt the fun is in the torque and not the horsepower. Also I have always wanted a Yamaha FZR400 from the 80s as well as a Ducati 888 SuperSport from the late 80s/90s. I think you made the right choice for sure.

I am a new rider and just started riding my MT07. I didn't want to outgrow the first bike quickly. I really enjoy just cruising. I am enjoying it so much.

I think the MT07 is a great middle ground between having some power and still being good for beginners. It’s so cool to hear you have one too. I love mine.

I started on a Katana 600 which was a perfect learning bike for me at the time. Rode that thing from here to NC and back. Then jumped to a TL1000R V-Twin. That was a hefty sport bike which ended up underneath an SUV (not my fault) so then I slimmed down to a Yamaha R1 😂 Also helped with carrying passengers to have that extra power.

See if Bob wants to meet up sometime. I can swing by as well on my Grom or ZX6R just let us know, it could be fun and great content for the channel. Do a cruise to some place to eat or whatever. Let's get you out on I 4 asap!!!! I'm ready for the chaos of all the cars cutting across 3 lanes to make their exit and such :) Heck, you and Bob or someone can ride together to the airport and take a plane someplace. That would be an epic vlog. When are gonna see you lane split some?? hehe Sorry, just having fun.

I bought a new mt07 as my first bike. Very torquey buy lots of fun and easy to ride. I bought a “touring” windscreen to help with the wind…it kinda helps but the wind still beats you up.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned to you about position in the lane when riding. You want to be in the left drivers side wheel track closer to the yellow lines. It prevents cars from passing you partially in your lane. Keep up the great riding, mate. Be safe ! WELCOME TO 2 WHEELS ! 😂

@after_midnight95922 ай бұрын
It's really no problem to learn everything on it, I also started on it with 0 xp. First lesson was releasing the clutch slowly, no throttle and the bike has enough torque in idle to not stall. Then you just continue from there, gentle adding a bit more throttle, try the brakes and then shifting. Once you get used to where the biting points are in the controls, it starts becoming more and more fun.

Do you feel that the bike seats caused you to slide forward toward the tank? Are you satisfied with the throttle response? Does the throttle have a choppy on off jerky feel? Thanks
@Lewontwo2 ай бұрын
I don't find that the seat causes me to slide towards the tank. I can sit close to the tank or a little back on the seat and be comfortable both ways. Throttle response is fine. It's not the quickest response but that's good because it doesn't get me into trouble. It will become more responsive once I get it tuned. I plan of getting an exhaust and the tune should refine some things. The throttle isn't jerky but the bike has enough power to be fun. I love it.

@@Rx37Legacy I think you hit the nail on the head. It’s all how you ride it. If you ride within your limits I don’t see a problem stepping up. That was my reasoning behind starting on an MT-07 rather than a 400 or something else. I ride within my limits and it’s been great so far!

WELCOME TO THE ohhhh wheels…😂 As a old and more experienced biker, I would NOT be in the side of the lanes. 1. Cars might think you are a moped/slower vehicle pull out in front of you. 2. Especially older people might squeeze into your lane because…. they are old..! 3. Riding in the middle of the lane gives you room both ways to evade obstacles. Love to watch this new channel 😊😊😊😊
