It divers from country to country. The nightlord box was available for 2 whole weeks at gw website. And other boxes that i heard are unobtaniom in the us are never out of stock here. So i guess your market did grew faster than anticipated and they are not that good of adjusting it.

Its a triple win for me. I play Votann in both Kill Team and 40K , ive always wanted to dip my toe in the Genestealer faction but the cost was to much for 40K and the Kill Team list was a mix of several kits so very expensive to make one kill team. But this is perfect. Also it looks like you could proxy them as vet guard and also blooded if you have an abberent kicking about. So this box has great value to me. Hopefully my local FLGS can get one for me. Ive already pre-ordered

Really for GSC players the biggest bummer is the Broodcoven attached to the BBs since we tend to have at least one of those already (and unlike previous editions, we can only run the one Patriarch due to him being an Epic Hero). Ah well, they'd be someone's first. Off to get sold off for you!

There's a tiny shop near me mind that does a whopping 25% off and he said he's got 4 on the way, and I'll be getting one of those. So I think per shop allocation is crap but it doesn't seem to scale down for small local shops - I've seen this trend with other releases too.

I do not like the terrain pieces. They are functionally just two boxes. Compare this to other kt boxes. I already have cadians, so it's just the brood coven on the other side.

I like the box, but... I don't know when sisters will drop and I rather get that instead. GW does sometimes shoot themselves in the foot by not giving people a heads up of what month or if it's early late on on that month when something is dropping. I usually have a max budget of what I can spend and if I see something that catches my eye, but there's something big in the unknown close future I pretty much have to not spend any money until the big thing drops.

they used to announce stuff in advance but found that consumers held of waiting for stuff so when they stopped telling people when things were comming sales increased. They are unlikely to change that as it is consumer friendly but decreases sales

there is a LOT in this box but I was looking at the prices for just the papa pant thief, but the broodcoven alone is £44 when I paid £60 for the box on element then the brothers have a model that could be a good clamavus proxy, and another that might make a good if you want to stretc the medic could proxy a biophagus if you aren't also running the patriarch and have a spare psychic familiar, and then the guy with the dynamite could easily stand in as a reductus sabatour but then its still a brood brothers squad, so if you have an old start collecting or combat patrol it's a good way to get a lot of HQ models and then you only have to worry about your regular army, until you want a jackal alphus

This is a great Genestealer cult box. The terrain is compatible with the Pattriarch and there should be enough GS heads to convert some Dwarven brothers to the cause.... Wait, do Votann weed out cults do to their lack of beatds?

I am collecting all the bespoke kill teams so snagging these combo boxes is massive for me - wasn't so much last season after the second box (so I had walls for 3/4 man games and boarding actions). Got a box reserved with my FLGS to make it 3 out of 3 this season. Just gotta print out the bheta decimal terrain at this point.

I always find it troubling when GW releases a boxset that offers decent savings over the RRP price, when that RRP price is one that they themselves set, and can increase whenever they want. It's like how fuel companies offer different ways to get "X cents off per litre", when they're the ones that set the price and can just increase it to offset the discount.

The problem with Kill Team is its a skirmish game with the rules hidden behind $150 monthly DLC. if you want to play any additional armies you have to buy another boxed set that is low print.

i doubt it, its already sold separatly and if they include it it will be hard to sell boxes to existing gsc 40k players as you only need one coven

@@yaribekkering-jr1hq you just have to buy two boxes one with brood brothers and one with the coven. GW works in mysterious ways but i dont think they want 3 different boxes kill team combo box, coven and broodbrothers when 2 would suffice. time will tell

@@JohnnyLeyenda inquisition team doesn't come with auxiliaries and you need them for the team to function, the brood brothers won't come with the coven - especially as you only run one of the three characters anyway.

Hahaha no, no it's not 😂 and I for one find it super scummy that they keep locking new/updated units behind killteams before releasing them for 40k. Especially Votann who have like 4 units to begin with. It's going to be sold out instantly no matter what the price is and then it's time to wait for *months* for a proper release.

A world of "no". There are a lot of problems with it, not limited to: 1. Contains wildly overcosted terrain. Just go to the plumbing section of your hardware store, and you can cover your whole table in hard plastic industrial terrain for less than a box of guardsmen. 2. Upselling a second faction you don't need when what you want is your faction + books. 3. Unnecessary broodcoven padding out the GSC. Existing gsc don't want it, gsc-curious players who could maybe are going to discover the cost iceberg ahead with the loss of the relatively affordable combat patrol. 4. It's going to be scalped 90%+ probability, as a limited supply fomo box. 5. The card aids are a "nice to have" compared to printing/photocopying the relevent things. GW overprice their convenience.

So, I know I'm a person who's opinion on this doesn't matter; I don't actively play either game this box is associated with, and I don't collect either Votann or GSC, for modeling purposes, either, but looking at it, I'm still just not sold. Totally unfair claim; if it were the new League Jump Infantry, I'd be much more interested in how it does, but that might not be what the smaller game this box actually sells for wants. The Yaegers...I just don't know how important I feel one Infiltrators unit would be, and I feel like that is all it does. With their 40k kit rules, I don't see it getting a particularly powerful unit up to the middle; their weapons are so so, their armor is so so, they don't have Scouts, and they aren't propelling a character up with them, so I'm just not intrigued. I think they LOOK great, and one of the silly things keeping me from finishing a custom insert model is I want him wearing a long coat, and his just doesn't work for me, but I'm just not drawn to THESE new Votann, specifically. The GSC look fine, but that will depend on if the Codex Blood Brothers unit becomes a better points deal than they currently are. The terrain...the terrain has always been a head scratcher for me, for 40k. You obviously need it, and especially today, where various terrain features have different rules, and so many more games are decided by points, instead of just annihilating the enemy army, but despite the amount of features you can make out of stryrofoam, or fish/lizard tank decorations, you'll probably want something that looks like bombed out,Gothic buildings, and that stuff can cost. It's sort of like buying the rules separately for the game you want to play. It feels like the best thing for 3D printing, and probably getting away with it, but what this box comes with isn't huge. At the end of the day, though, I'm assuming that they'll make six, again, and it won't matter.😊

If this box is a good deal, a lot of it will come from the broodcoven kit, which anyone will only need one of since a big part of the value of THAT kit is the patriarch which is only a max of one in any army. Can't even kitbash the patty into anything in gsc, it's too big.

No, the box is not a good deal. Not compared to recasters and 3D printing, and I guarantee recasters and STL makers will have copies of the contents of this box up for sale real soon.

Nothing GW sells is good value in itself...it's plastic, outdated paper rules and lots if bits that you have to store somewhere. It does however appear good value relative to the horrendously poor value of most of the other sets GW sells but the new models should not be hidden behind such a price wall and should be available separately.
