min 15. Yes, you can measure from a point on the swing arm to that point on the Works Connection adjuster, but you still don't know if both of those points on the swing arm you are measuring from (one on each side), are the same distance from the swing arm pivot center. The hash marks maybe just as repeatable.
@EarthSurferUSAАй бұрын
Probably the best way to make sure both sides are adjusted the same, is to use a tool that measures from the center of the swing arm pivot, to the center of your rear axle. A yard stick like piece, and 2 centers would do it, even with no numerical measurement. Just set it after the chain tension is right on one side, and make the other side the same distance with the set tool. That way, you are not trusting manufactured (and welded here too) parts that have a variance.

Hello! Thanks for the comment and theory. Precision is key so I see where you're coming from. I have to say in my time of working on dirt bikes (32 years as an enthusiast and 22 years professionally) I've never encountered a need for such tool for alignment. These WC axel blocks make the precise need very achievable. There are the times of coarse where something is off from MFG or a crash that such "jig" would be handy. Tony // MXSS PS - You should sign up for you chance to win ANY of the bikes we build... Just a thought. Then you can make whatever parts you want for it.

All the builds with so much attention to detail and cosmetics is second to nothing, totally off the hook and then to see some of them in magazine articles etc is incredible 😃 I learn something from each video and Charles and Uncle Tony make it interesting and fun - as far as a name be a Honda I would call it the " red-devil " thank you for the information on these videos

Why are you asking us in the headline if that Honda is "too far gone"? You are the guys trying to rebuild it, not us. I know, if I can get parts, (or make my own in a pinch), I would not have to ask the question if I can rebuild it or not. Now, I will watch the vid, and see what you do wrong. :)
