Love the format and content of this video. As many/most discs behave differently at different speeds, it’s very helpful to see such clear flight paths from a lower speed arm vs what the disc will do at higher speeds. Great disc tracking. Nicely done.

I bought my first maverick today! I love it so far! Easy to control in wooded areas to get around trees and such!

This disc is legendary. It has a smooth and late turn every time I throw it. The Maverick has helped me not throw everything with power, but to back off and let the disc do the work. I bag two at all times. GET ONE.

Nice one guys. Good info. Rob is definitely playing great golf with his 995 PDGA rating. I just checked Bobby CDSB's rating - and boy, you guys are not joking. He is rated 810 and two of his last rounds were in the 700s. So yeah, he IS a very casual player. And that is entirely understandable when we look at his grip at 0:58 - where we see him gripping the outer rim of the disc, instead of getting his thumb inside the rim of the disc. Grip IS a very personal thing, but all good power grips have several things in common. Most notably, you can't rip the disc out of someone's hand when they are gripping it, the knuckle of the index finger is above the Parting Line, the thumb is almost entirely on the flight plate, and the wrist uses radial supination to align the disc with the forearm bones. If we watched Rob and Bobby play each other on a semi-challenging course, we'd expect Robert to win by about 16 to 18 strokes.

Every casual disc golfer needs this disc in their bag in my opinion. It feels great! This is the disc that made me switch to Dynamic Disc plastic only!

Robert's description is right on. For straight shots I usually use a putter or mid-range, but past 250-280 ft it's not really the best option any more. Fresh mid-ranges are the best but that's unsustainable. The Maverick does the job best for 260-300 ft. 325+ it'll want to turn more, still the slow right turn is magic. It's the easiest disc I took to. I have a Champion Leopard, Teebird and a MVP Servo that are now useless. I hope it holds up as it breaks in.

Biofuzion Maverick is amazing. It is an understable disc that fades out of almost anything.

Is this a replacement for the thief?sorta kinda ? I need to buy out the remaining thieves . I just found it and its my go to 300ish tunnel disc

The Maverick is a good Thief replacement! The Maverick will likely have less fade at the end, but those two discs are similar speeds.

How does the Maverick compare to the River?
@18bigegan6 жыл бұрын
I'd like to know too. I currently bag leopard3 and would like to know how it compares to it and river
@jerzott47066 жыл бұрын
I have tried the Star Lep3 and the River, and the maverick beats both IMO. The River was a bit too finnicky with flipping over. The lep3 was good but required a little extra to get it to move right, and if I put to much on it would move too much right. I have 2 lucid Mavericks. One is a little more beat and will slowly flip from hyzer to flat and move right just a bit before a straight finish. The other maverick I have is a bit more stable and with a slight hyzer will flip up to flat, ride, and finish straight. This is literally my new favorite disc. I feel like I could play an entire round with just this and a putter. Try one and you will not regret it.
@t5styles3335 жыл бұрын
@@18bigegan Well, I can't speak to the River, but I had a champion leopard and l3. The flight path for both of them is bigger, meaning they require more space and have a bigger standard deviation on back to back throws, and they don't guild as well as the Maverick. Most people's 3rd disc is the leopard, but once you start to turn them they graduate to the l3. Well, that's not the case with Maverick, its the only short fairway driver anyone needs. I'm not a DD fan boy, but just maybe a Maverick fan.

Slower Escape?
@sealman7636 жыл бұрын
pretty much lol
@t5styles3335 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say so. The Escape's glide exaggerates the movement; to me, because it stays in the air longer, the line isn't as controllable or as predictable. The Escape's turn and and s curve are rather different for me than the Maverick. To me the Maverick has a small standard deviation holding the right of center with little to no fade. The Escape will go around things better and has a more normal fight path for a right or left fairway shot. I use the Escape for fairway distance, more open shot, 325-375. I use the Maverick for precision, in the woods tunnel shots, slight right finish 260-340. I don't have a big arm, but if you can reach 290ft with this speed disc, I would have to insist on getting the lucid plastic Maverick.

Seems a lot like a river... Or is it?
@jerzott47066 жыл бұрын
For me it is much more consistent than a river.
@jakew376 жыл бұрын
Jer Zott consistant in what way? Disc to disc, or in varying wind conditions?
@jerzott47066 жыл бұрын
I have only thrown Gold line Rivers. For me they would sometimes flip up and ride right real nice and sometimes they would flip on me. The maverick does exactly the same thing every time. I am not exactly sure why, maybe it gives more room for error. It just does exactly what I want almost every time.
