Hold the trimmer upside down and strait up while edging. It maintains an edge done by an edger very well. We use these in the northeast and they work great

Been using it for 10 years and it's the best trimmer attachment ever. Still going strong and the plastic is like really rough and hard. Lubricate the disc with graphite once in a while and your edges will be tack sharp and easy to trim too. Yes it does create a strong vacuum as well.

I am wondering something here, I couldn't really see how you were doing the edging. It seems it would work better with the wheel rolling next to the cement but in the grass and the string being facing the grass. Doing it this way the edge of the wheel would be down below the pavement and the length of the string would not have to be any longer than the edge it pro and could even be shorter, at least it would seem that way to me. The point on the video where I saw the wheel was in the grass but the string was on the pavement side yes of course that would eat up the string really fast. For me I think I would really like this as we take care of cemeteries it's not chain link fence it's woven wire fence but it's still a wire fence and I think this will would save us a lot of string and effort as we go around that fence. Somehow I think it would even save us a lot as we went around the gravestones, and I'd have to think it would be good in your job too when you did around houses. As long as you're happy not running the string up against the house itself but being really close.

I think that's a very interesting approach and just might work. We did the entire edging with the string facing the pavement. But would love to see the other way around if someone tries it. Thank you for your comment 🙂

Wont roundup hurt the tree?

No

It will not hurt the tree as long as you keep it off of the leaves. The trunk will not be affected by round up.

I love my edge-it pro. Can you edge just as crisp and straight lines without it? yes. This does make it easier, but the biggest pro of this is that you can edge as fast as you walk. I can walk very briskly and have sharp crisp lines. So basically, it will save you a lot of time.

I agree with that absolutely. The edge looked pretty thick and juicy as it is, but with a little more finesse and technique, I am sure more seasoned landscapers can make a really good looking edge with this attachment.
