I’m so glad Abbie is good and home and y’all get to go on with life. Being in the hospital sucks. I’m so happy you were there to be her advocate. The sick should always have someone. As for the people who get mad because you don’t post, they will get over it. I know this is your job but it is our entertainment. We will survive if you can’t post on time or you need to miss a post. Don’t let it stress you out.

Loved the format of this podcast! Driving barefoot is illegal in some states. And driving nude…really?! Put some clothes on when you’re driving. That’s definitely illegal.

Another thought I had - shoes without socks is a no go IF the shoe is enclosed/not well ventilated. The more open the shoe, the more acceptable it is to not wear socks. I personally cannot stand wearing any gymshoes without socks, but some gymshoes are made with super breathable material and you'll be (mostly) fine without socks. Flip flops/jesus sandals? Sure! BUT shoes like TOMS were NOT breathable in the SLIGHTEST

As a 26-year-old teacher, I can tell you that yes many teachers are just as “unstable” as you and also doing some wild stuff on the weekends. Nothing too crazy, but enough to relieve some stress after the week of chaos that has been endured. But that doesn’t just go for the ones in their 20s, that goes for teachers of all ages. Also, I understand the argument of feeling like teachers being in their 20s is too young, but every other job you end up doing the same thing. Most of us to spend years going to school preparing for the job though. It’s not like I was literally straight out of high school jumping into the position - I would say that goes for the majority as well.

I’ve only ever done things like that with food with fast food restaurants like, for example, if I want something from Subway, but my friend wants something from McDonald’s and McDonald’s has a bigger seating area, it would be better if we just go sit there than at Subway so I’ll bring my subway over to McDonald’sbut I’d never do it if no one is ordering from the other restaurant that we’re sitting at to eat

My hot take (regarding teachers who are the age you are now): teachers back then gave the vibe that they had it all together because so many of them (and other people) just do what is "expected" (go to college, get a degree, get a job, get married, buy a house, have kids) on autopilot. This is purely based on my observations in my small town living, so take with a large grain of salt.

it's not illegal to bring food from other restaurants into another place. it's more of a liability issue. They don't want you to go after them if you get food poisoning from said food that you brought with you. there could be a cross contamination issue; maybe they are a nut-free establishment, gluten-free, ect. Also, it's kind of rude to the owners/ cooks who work hard at said place. just think, you spend all day preparing an amazing meal for someone and they come walking in the door with a pizza.

Its funny you mentioned the honor code for pickup orders. I went to Crumbl yesterday and my friend who picked up said that a girl was PANICKED in there because she got an order for a bridal shower and someone else grabbed it. The order was hundreds of dollars of cookies and they couldn't do anything for her in store. The only thing she could do was call the company and complain and place a new order until her original was resolved which obviously many people can't do. We felt so bad for her and couldn't imagine someone doing that with THAT many cookies especially. What would you do with them!!!

I don't like asian food. Its a texture thing. Tastes delicious but alot of the stuff i cant handle the texture. When i was a kid my grandparents ALWAYS wanted to go to an Asian place for dinner. We would get McDonald's to go for me and then go to the restaurant to eat. We would always ask first if it was okay. It became our regular thing. The employees were so sweet. They would even bring me my own fortune cookie after the meal. And i would even gives the employees my happy meal toys. They would place them on the counter where you pay for your meal. It became like their own little collection hehe by the time they unfortunately closed down they had probably over a hundred happy meal toys! 😂 they were so amazing! Loved them! (It was a family owned hole in the wall type of joint. They retired and their kids wanted to go off to college and start their own businesses. They're still thriving and happy.)

By the way, I hate vibrate with a passion phone is never on vibrate unless it absolutely Hass to be if I’m at a hospital or at church or movie theatre but most of the time my watch goes off before my phone does unless I’m actively on my phone and the sound coming from the watch isn’t very loud, so that’s another reason why I never have to put it on silent

I’ve done things like that but I don’t do it for very long and I don’t do it very often at all and I won’t do it on a bus or a plane or in a place where you’re supposed to be quiet.
