I don’t have a problem with the AITA sessions, but I like getting inside scoops on Rachel’s lifestyle (not life-don’t misconstrue 😂), and I like hearing opinions on things. I liked ATI because it was about a lot of everything. As long as we get the special guests and organic conversations mixed in with the AITA seshes, I think it’s good.

Everyone saying that the guy with the f-ing weirdo gf recording calls is the ahole has obviously never had their private conversations secretly recorded by someone they trusted. It is a huge betrayal and I don't think he overreacted at all.

It is an issue of consent for sure and I’d be seriously questioning her motives, but (respectfully) I think a blow-up reaction is a lot right off the bat. Maybe he acted out of impulse, and maybe that’s understandable given what he discovered, but if he truly believes his gf is an “angel,” he should hear out her reasoning before snapping. And now that he has snapped, give her the benefit of the doubt and sit down for a real conversation of both of their feelings. He’s got a lot of reason to feel betrayed, to be sure. But maybe she’s got reasons for what she did too, and if they can both admit wrongdoing on some level it might turn out okay. I hope that makes some sense. Again, coming from a respectful place. I’ve never experienced someone recording my calls so maybe I’d feel differently if it was a personal situation.

Having a really hard time right now, life in general, but right now specifically, dead smack in the middle of an extreme anxiety/panic attack, listening to this is keeping me grounded. Rachel, I know you probably won't see this, but I just wanted to let you know you've been like a friend to me for years and you have no clue who I am. You've saved my life more times than you know. The recording phone calls thing . Is it weird to find a file of conversations y’all have had -YES Is it something to break an engagement for - NO Would I be upset that this has been happening without my consent or knowledge - YES Did this blow up 10x then needed - Yes How the convo could’ve gone in my head “Hey I found these files on your computer of previous conversations we’ve had . “ “ oh yeah I keep them as little memories you never know when something unexpected could happen and i have everyone I love” “ hey i understand where you’re coming from I just don’t feel the most comfortable with that especially the more spicy conversations” “ I never meant for you to be uncomfortable. For the lady who records all her phone conversations, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s had a loss. I keep all my voice recordings that my papa leaves me as my mum died suddenly when I was 24 and I don’t have any video footage or voice recordings from her, and sometimes all you want to hear is a loved ones voicewho is gone?

I’ve worked with dementia patients in my longtime around here, and a part of me almost understands why (especially if she thinks he’s her one) she would want to record their conversations. In a way, it’s not that far different from pictures, letters, text messages, and screenshots. If they’re each others ones, marry, grow old together, all that, they’ll have those conversations. But also it could be that he’s awful and she needs proof. I just need her side of the story. 😂

I dated someone who would record a lot of our conversations, didn’t hide it though just did it openly, I didn’t get red flags from it to be honest I was kind of flattered strangely? Knowing someone would want to relive conversations with me like that. I dunno

28:13 i’m sorry on the whole serial killer one she is recording everything and I’m sorry if you’ve listened to serial killer podcast or you watch crime shows or anything you’ll notice that those are huge traits of stock before they become serial killers so I get where he’s coming from and I agree if the rules were reversed then everybody would be going nuts, but she is definitely doing some really odd behavior. She should not be recording every conversation and all of that that’s not appropriate.

The recording one- the guy is a dbag. If it was a guy, yes it would come off more creepy because guys are usually very creepy/controlling/unalivey. It's a bit odd for the girl to do that, without consent. But, I would def take it as her being sweet and wanting to share things. Explaining that having a record of personal stuff can be bad and makes you uncomfy is more of the way to go. But this is a very young couple, who aren't even fully developed yet, so I am not surprised at all.

I think regardless of the gender, it’s pretty violating to have your private conversations recorded. I don’t think he was right to blow up at her, but I can see why he was so upset. Ending the relationship over it, I don’t think that’s necessary. They need to talk about it for sure.

The way the snooping boyfriend reacted toward the girlfriend has me wanting to tell HER to leave HIM. Explosive much? Sure, it's strange that she's saving convos without people's consent, but who knows? Maybe she has a reason she feels is valid. Like I'd love to have recordings of some of my deceased relatives. Maybe she's got something like that on her mind. 🤷‍♀️

My thought on the one am I the asshole… the reason she gave might not be the reason why she actually keeps them. Maybe she keeps them incase she ever needs them for legal reasons… that’s just my thought.
