Hey John, need your help I bought this LPK25 as well as the Akai MPD218 , but my Lenovo has no CD entrance, I meant it is a new Lenovo model. How can I use my keyboard if I cannot install the software that comes in the CD ? or is it enough with the MPD software to be able and use it?

@@emrekizilirmak3486 i am French, i confirm, all his idea, often come from this keyboard, and he use for a longtime "reason" to produce his most famous first sound. he was produce RAP when he was young, then he devellope more large influence. after his 16 .. years old .. but , hahahah, no heavy, expensive hardware keyboard, just fast, fast process to capture the best idea at the best moment at first , so little keyboard, you plug, you play, you capture the idea .. no 10000000 $ hardware, but good mix, good idea ...

A decent controller when it was released, but in this price range I'd go for Arturia's Arturia MicroLab 25 which came out last year, sells for $89, has onboard pitch and modulation strips and includes a free download of Analog Lab Lite.

I've been trying to get in touch with Akai now for a couple of weeks. My assumption is they are closed with no customer support during the stay at home orders. Can't log into my account. I've reached out several times via email and nothing. Anyone else getting a response from them?

My most used midi controller outside of my home studio. I’ve been having this for over 5 years and it still works like it did when I first purchased it. John Mike’s comment about the stiffness of the keys is correct but I think that is a plus because this keyboard can take a lot of abuse. It’s rugged and I don’t put it in a case when I’ve had it in my backpacks and it has outlasted a few of my backpacks. My opinion is buy it and keep it close by when you are on the go.

John Mike, advice needed here)) 1) lpk25 wireless or 2) M-Audio 32 mk3? 3) arturia microlab? 4) Korg microkey 25 Looking to jam on my iphone and make some beats on garageband. Bluetooth is an advantage. Not interested in fancy functions, the app sounds are enough (bass, piano, drums etc), i can use the keys alone. Not playin Chopin n all)) How long do these hold the charge, if at all?

I would go with the korg microkey...it will come with some iOS sounds...

John Mike heeey, my creative friend has replied AND hearted)) thanks. What iOS sounds are we talking about and why would I need that for my basic garageband app? The sounds are already inside the app. I just need the bass, piano, drums etc mainly chords and techno, hiphop beat etc. I have a big Korg with weighted keys, so already trust the brand. But for smth portable thinking of 32 keys maudio, looks neeeat. Wireless bluetooth connection would be an advantage

I just use it with my mpc one standalone, mainly for basslines. Its also so small and light and if it breaks i wont care much since its cheap. nice shirt btw

Hey. I'm dying in a dilemma between this piece and a 32 key m-audio mini key station. I am a guitarist who wants to buy a small keyboard to establish some theory grounds, and to whip out in the middle of my guitar practice to figure out stuff and quickly put it right back in. The dilemma I have is I can play a bit with two hands on the 32 key board, whereas I can do simple chord progressions and melody ideas on the 25 key board. Both are compact enough for the intent. What would you suggest?
