My name's Jack and welcome back to Life In Motion! In this video, I review this very rapid Genesis GV60 Sport Plus Dual Motor AWD to see whether it's worth the £71k price tag that comes with it.
With a 0-62 time of 4 seconds, range of 289 miles, and options list as long as your arm, this GV60 really is wiping the floor with Tesla when it comes to the overall package. I really want you all to challenge yourself to see whether this car could be your next EV.

Yes. Genesis came on my radar in June last year. I was immediately smitten. It's different. It's electric. It's innovative. It is luxury and comfort. I love it!! I have one on order, due to be ready in November. I'm obsessed and rave about it to anyone who will listen, and I haven't even driven it yet. I do have a test drive booked. In the meantime, I'm obsessed with watching all the reviews.

You’ll love it. Be careful of the piano black exterior pillars and spoiler they scratch incredibly easily as does the chrome boot sill - that will scratch from running your fingers over it! If you are thinking of PPF anywhere you might want to consider those few areas to protect the lovely aesthetics. I’m thinking I’ll have mine detailed back to new and get those areas PPF.

I just test drove the gv70 because I want a 2024. I'm now going to inquire about the gv60 in my area. I love this car! The dealer also had me test drive the Iconiq 5 which was ok. Can't wait to get my car. Great review. I love your humor!

I’ve had one for almost 9 months now and I would say YES! It’s worth the money! It’s much more comfortable and luxurious than the Model Y! The Audi E-tron was just ok and I really didn’t want to spend more for the BMWiX.

@@LifeInMotionuk one thing I’m disappointed with is the turning radius! For a small car, it’s kinda bad. My previous car, 2008 Lexus RX350, has better turning radius. Maybe it’s due to the huge 21 inch tires🤷🏻‍♀️

@@charroscott86 I agree the turning circle is terrible. I can only think despite not have a front mounted motor in the RWD version they’ve reserved space for it for the AWD drive models and with other gubbings (very little encroaches into the cabin no continuous dash into tunnel set-up like on some cars) just not the space for a huge turn angle on the wheels. I try and avoid U turns as it takes three lanes need a parking lane free.

Excellent video and review. I received mine in March and I love it. Pricey not at all for all you have. I am still discovering new features every weeks. Quality is exceptional. Security features are great and the sound system is excellent. I bought a little dongle and carplay is now wireless .

I got the Premium RWD with everything but digital wing mirrors delivered June 2022 after seeing the car for the first time in April at Fully Charged UK Live South 2022 Farnborough show- I saw it and my jaw dropped -I saw people getting into the car each saying “Wow”! I went back to the show the following day for an in-depth chat and put my deposit down! I’d had a Kia EV6 GTLS AWD on order since November 2021 but after two set backs in expected delivery decided to look for something more immediately available. The GV60 with its luxury feel (befitting its price tag which some £50K/£60K EV’s simply don’t have), its tech (notably the innovation pack), charge speed, build quality, smooth and eerily quiet ride ( B&O noise cancellation system) makes it a compelling choice. The 432 L boot space may be slightly too small for some. But the 4.515m length some 16cm shorter that the EV6 was a benefit for me given my driveway and need for city/multi-storey car parking. And you do get a 52L frunk to compensate a little. I really like the styling and opted for the cream Nappa Leather interior with Saville grey metallic exterior - a year on and I still coo over this car. Genesis will come to your door to give you a test drive. For anyone seriously contemplating owning/leasing this car where a cavernous boot is not a pre-requisite I encourage you to take them up on their offer. The RWD version with 321 mile WLTP range is pacey at 229bhp 0-60 in 7.8 seconds but may not be quite fast enough for those wanting blistering performance. Go up the trim ladder and sacrifice some range and there’s the Sport AWD with 318bhp 0-60 5.5 seconds and then the range topping Sport Plus with 490bhp 0-60 in 4 seconds but with even less range and you’ve got all the power you could want albeit with a progressively heftier price tag. Choice is yours.

I’ve got one, and its worth every penny. I even have the matte dark grey like the one in this video, but i have a white interior. Also, in Australia, you get a home charger installed for free. Also, very good video. Lots of good info, covered the good stuff!

I've known about Genesis since they launched in the US. I am currently driving a Porsche Taycan CT and am looking at the GV60 or GV70 Electrified to replace it.

Yup! I had a Kia EV6 GTLS on order from January 2022 to January 2023. However, after seeing the GV60 and having a car bought to my house for a test drive, cancelled the order for the Kia and ordered a Genesis GV60 Sport, due for delivery in July. I have come from a long ownership line of Range Rovers and Jaguars (my last car was a Jaguar I-Pace HSE), and this car for looks, drive comfort and quality is every bit as good but £20,000 cheaper! Whats not to like?
