@@Austrveg I dont like the lack of flood light on a pistol mounted light personally. That might change if I got to play with it though 🤷‍♂️ As of right now, Im not willing to spend more $ unless its something I think I will use. That candela is impressive though and would be useful on a rifle.

I actually looked into that story. Based on what happened, any rechargeable lithium battery would have kaboomed. Granted, its still fun to trash talk Olight because I still hate most of their products 😂

Olight has great customer service as well, I over tighten one striped the screw (my fault) and Olight replaced it with no questions, actually sent me 2 out, one rechargeable type and 1 battery type, had bot replacements in a weeks time

@@G.W-01 I tried about 6 months ago to get one, but they never replied. Personally I dont think its worth the $ for the performance it gives. This Olight has way better performance and is only $10 more on sale. I do like that the LAPG light works with TLR1 holsters though.

@@poortac5568 The newest iteration of inforce wmlx gen 3 would also be interesting, I've got a gen 2 that I'm fairly certain is on its last legs it's the white/ir combo though witch operates with a switch which I'm certain brings reliability issues into play.

@@G.W-01 I did message them, because of your previous request. They never replied to me either 😢 It looks like it has better output than the previous model though. I still prefer a light that can be connected to a tape switch, unless its a dedicated helmet light.

What about holster compatibility? My comptac ct3+ holster makes me use surefire. Is olights body design the same as sure fire

@@glock2dog Im not sure, but it works fine in my Alien Gear rapid force holster. If its a light specific holster, then I doubt it

Between me and a few fellow gun buddies we have broken like 8+ olights just from basic use. We all stopped buying them. Streamlight is just a touch more money but WAY more durable

Ive only used a couple of their products and had issues with their designs and battery consumption/vampiric drain. All the issues I had was with their proprietary rechargeable battery and magnetic charging system. Thats why I actually bothered with this light to begin with (since it used standard cr123 batteries). Time will tell I guess, Im leaving it on my range/testing gun so I will see how it holds up long term 👍

Ya I have not had good luck either and never got a response from there CS. I have had ok luck with streamlight but not as good as SureFire.

@@jefftimmerman8192 Surefire is my favorite as far as reliability goes. Nothing else has been as durable. I wish they were able to get better performance though.

When i first got into preparedness i bought into olight because of the cost and me being naive of the utube shills, not saying you are, i love your channel. But i sold off all my olights except for a couple of their keychain lights. The lumen count drops by half after 1 minute of use. Weak qd system and The battery door design also sucks. In not much of surefire fan either. Streamlight is my go-to

Yeah I definitely get it. I hate most “features” that come on olight products. The magnetic switch/charging system, internal battery, low candela, quick drop off in performance, terrible button placements, QD levers, and unsafe features (that burned me through my pants lol). I hate all those “features”. This is the first Olight product that seems like they actually listened to the “tactical/duty market. So far its the first product I have seen of theirs that is actually worth buying over other products (especially at the price). I still trust my Surefire X300 Turbo most though, and carry it at work. I do like Streamlight products, especially the TLR7A. Yeah, the KZbin shills are ridiculous. Almost every Olight “review” I have seen (with the exception of Werkz) has been an obvious commercial for Olight. Thanks for watching and the compliment, it means a lot 👍

FYI The color GREEN the most visible color to humans, pos why Olight chose that spectrum

I know thats why some optics have a green reticle, so that would make sense. I just dont like it personally. The WERKZ review had a similar opinion, so it must be a personal preference or bias. If I never saw other light colors first, I dont think I would have noticed.

@@poortac5568 I hear ya. I dont like green either, its a weird tint for a light beam but who knows, maybe green has a tiny advantage for spotting things if we see that color best
